Don't waste your time
Don't waste your time, dishonest and questionable business practices at best, filled out online form, disclosed accident history on form (minor, drove to work for a week while waiting for parts) and was given an evaluation 26,900, then was later called by Bra**** asked for the VIN and given a new even higher evaluation 27,100, showed up at appointment time, Jus**** looked vehicle over and then began working on his computer, he asked how much I was looking to get for the car, I stated the amount I was quoted. He continue to work on his computer was there an hour to be offered 23,000. Why waste my time, why give an evaluation you had no intention of paying when I was completely honest and disclosed the vehicle history. Jus*** stated the valuation didn't take into account the accident, then why call me get the VIN and personally tell me a higher number that wasn't a computer that was the manager himself. Again don't waste your time. I got home and within a hour I have a competitor picking up the car tomorrow for 26,000. Again there are actually forrthcoming honest in this business, just skip this one save yourself the time and effort

Thanks also you for taking time to speak with leadership about your frustration with the experience, and for giving us the opportunity to provide a transparent response from our side. Yours was not a typical customer service experience, as you can see from the 61,000 4.9-star average reviews on Trustpilot from verified customers and happened in unusual circumstances.
As a professional buyer, we must take all factors into account when valuing a vehicle and the Tesla raised several red flags. The initial concern we had was related to the fact that you had bought the car recently (within 3 months) at full retail value and were quickly selling at a significant loss. This always prompts additional scrutiny from our team.
Although our vehicle history checks revealed no accident history, you disclosed that the Tesla had been involved in an accident on the same day you had planned to return it to Carvana under their 7-day money back guarantee and had recently been in the shop for repairs. Any accident history, even minor accidents which appear on the CARFAX can have a negative impact on a vehicle's future value and we were concerned the recent repair may not yet have been updated on CARFAX. If we buy a car with a clean history and that changes, we lose money. After weighing all the facts, and considering the volatility of Tesla's resale prices, we made a commercial decision to take a cautious approach to our valuation when making you a firm offer. In hindsight this may have been too cautious and we're sorry for the frustration and inconvenience.
We respect that our offer was not sufficient to earn your business and apologize that we gave you cause to leave such a negative review.
