I am thoroughly disappointed with WeFunder. After jumping through all the hoops to get our campaign going including the financial review, I was "notified" after hounding them for over six weeks about our status that because our company was a "subsidiary" they wouldn't allow our raise on the platform. Frankly, that's crap because a quick review of live offerings reveals plenty of subsidiary companies on it. Their communication is horrible. The follow through was horrible. Initially, it all seemed great. Then it was like I was some kind of black sheep. I wouldn't use WeFunder for a dang thing. Now I hope our investors get their funds back in short order. WeFunder had no issue accepting their money! Do not use WeFunder.
I'll edit my remarks to reply to Merc's feedback. Merc, that's a crock of crap. I found plenty of live campaigns with the exact same investment structure of a parent/holding company of the founding members. So you're "reason" is bs. Plain and simple. Calling our experience unsatisfactory is a joke. Your team, overall, did a horrible job of communicating with us. And frankly, you're all really quick to take people's money and then completely drop the ball. No sugar coating it with me. I'm 100% ticked off and making no bones about it. And after looking at reviews, I'm not alone in my opinion.

Funding account issues
There has been two separate incidence of moneys not able to be pulled form the bank account from the Wefunder platform. Yes, both times I've been helped diligently to fix the issue but took a long time and 'issue' is still unknown but got around it both times after many attempts. It can be frustrating but eventually was fixed. Wefunder is a growing company and a few bugs need to be worked out with the online system.

Overall, it is a great site helping non- accredited investors get access to good investments that have always been denied them. It also helps accredited investors who want to spread their risk around by making smaller investments than are normally required by non CF or non reg A opportunities.

As you know, I just emailed you on January 17, 2023 to let you know that all investors will be updated with their tax info by mid-February this year if it is applicable to them. Almost all taxes were out on time last year, but there were some issues with some of the companies completing their K-1s on time due to different reasons. We have been even more on top of this going into 2023 and hope to have an even better outcome this year.

Your investment is using the SPV (special purpose vehicle) structure, which means you are buying shares in the SPV, and the SPV is then buying shares in the company. SPVs are common in the investing world, because they allow the company to represent all of their investors in one line on their cap table. That’s important both for their record keeping and their ability to get financing from institutional investors in the future.
Because you bought a piece of the SPV, which then invested in the company, you won’t see a stock certificate for your shares. Instead, you can view the agreement you signed with the SPV on your Portfolio page.
