What a scam
What a scam. When I realized this was a recurring charge for $79 a month and cancelled it still cost me $29 to be enrolled for 5 minutes until I cancelled!!
They are very misleading .
They are very misleading .. dont trust them. Taking $76 month from my checking account for s diet script they said I was eligible for.. once i signed up they informed me my insurance would not cover it but that I had a 12 month commitment for payment.. it was only a matter of minutes. When I said ok cancel.. they said no.. i will be contacting attorney general.. big scam!!!
WW GLP 1 and Chequp.com are scamming
Update: contacted by chequp who sorted the issue quickly and it has now been resolved.
Signed up with Chequp.com as they state there is free access to the WW GLP 1 app but there isn’t, it’s a lie!! Chequp.com will do nothing saying its WW fault but you cannot contact WW! This is scam, please be aware you will not be able to have free access to the WW app, you have to pay!
Thieves… resorted to trickery and…
Thieves… resorted to trickery and online theft from your account with marketing to trick you. Don’t trust them with your account details they will steal from you
This is a scam
This is a scam. Read the reviews very carefully. There's a distinct pattern of using deceptive advertising to entrap people into providing their financial information and refusing to let people out of it. This happened to me as well. I'm having to cancel my credit card even despite asking the credit cards in the banks to charge back the expenses. As you can see, weight watchers is so brazen, that they use standardized contract formation irregularities that demand the rescinding of a contract as their excuse for why they will not rescind the contract
App is a disaster
Don't know what happened. Seems they have updated their app but it is a disaster. Slow, gets blocked. The search for products doesn't work well.
WW fix this!
I would definitely give no stars if it…
I would definitely give no stars if it was possible
They took money for over 1 year knowing I hadn't used the app at all it was far too complicated and not at all user friendly NO customer service whatsoever after trying to call with no success the number doesn't work I messaged and even though it was supposed to be a person I think I would have got a better response from a tin robot SHAME ON YOU
If I could give 0 I would
If I could give 0 I would. Avoid avoid avoid! No customer service “we do not answer emails anymore as we don’t have anyone to answer them!”. They’ll happily take your money but that’s it.
Weight Watchers used to be a legit
Weight Watchers used to be a legit, trustworthy company. They now sneak in language in their "contracts." I joined in June and tried to cancel in November and they are making me pay through June of the next year. DO NOT use them, there are many other programs out there, they are failing.
Online workshops good but app is worse…
Online workshops good but app is worse ever . Try and contact customer services and you speak to America . Never solve technical issues .
Tracking
I had 657 day streak so close to having tracked for 2 years. Its now on 4 days, I was heartbroken I feel I wasted my time
Stay away from this organisation...it's not what it once was!
There's an awful lot of mindfulness and psychology behind the process of weight loss... but not much in the way of practical help. There are no set meal plans or suggested fitness progression workouts and the 6000 meals are randomly organised but not grouped under "breakfast" "lunch" or "snacks" etc. The app is very dull and difficult to navigate and I have no idea how you'd plan a well balanced diet if you didn't have much experience with nutrition. In my opinion, this 'New look" WW is a complete ripoff. My advice - Get a free calorie counter app and a book from the library! Cancelling is another nightmare! Everything is AI generated and I have been waiting to talk to a human for 45 minutes so far!
Absolutely disgusting organisation!
Absolutely disgusting organisation! - they are basically thieves who take your money even though you have attempted to cancel your subscription and when you try and call them to explain that, their phones are not manned because they are on ‘holiday’ - you cannot speak to a UK operative only Americans! Clearly this is how they make their money by SCAMMING people - there are much better slimming companies out there but I sincerely suggest you don’t use them!! I suggest they don’t bother to come back to me with a lame excuse for fleecing me of a measly £18.00 - this review is not just about the money it is about the principle!
Rubbish customer support and app
What has gone wrong with WW??? The celebs are leaving the company and I'm quite sure the customer care they receive would be better than what normal people must tolerate. No email contact AT ALL anymore for WW (and the only way to get a response is via social media, when they're shamed into responding). They are treating people like mugs, and their app becomes worse and worse with every update. Don't waste your money. Use My Fitness Pal or one of the many other excellent free apps out there that allow all of WW features and more.
Replace Online tracking with Cell phone app. Disaster!
I've been a client for several years now. I love their database and tracking system, but recently they removed the online PC portion forcing people to track everything on their cell phones. This is a deal breaker. It's much faster to use two hands typing to put in recipes than fumble about with fingers and thumbs. This is one of those things where young people design for the young. It's age discrimination. I have years worth of home recipes in their database which I will lose unless I attempt to use their pitiful app. I am disappointed and yes livid. I'm looking for a new weight loss system. What a shame!
Contract ended apparently they can then…
Contract ended apparently they can then take double the money as its in the small terms & conditions when you start the contract, absolute disgrace!! Weight watchers is brilliant for losing weight its just a shsme how they set up monthly payments!!
Taken money from my account when I don't even have a membership
All I did was have a look at the website. I thought it might be helpful so put my details in. Then I felt a red flag so when asked if I wanted to continue I selected their No thanks option. Now my bank account is missing £18.95 to them. Stolen my money. What should I do?
Impossible to get in touch with…
Impossible to get in touch with sequence customer support. They write scripts and forget about you.
WW takes money even if you cancel. BE WARNED!
I joined WW online. £10 a month for 10 months. Two months later, I wanted to end the contract. Contacted WW, spoke with a very nice lady, who explained that I had signed up to pay £10 a month until the contract ends (meaning I'm tied to paying £80 between now and the end of the contract), but I'll still have access to the website and app.
When I asked where it says on the website that I have to continue to pay, even though I'm cancelling, the lady directed me to the page, but even she had a little difficulty finding the information at first (advised me to scroll to the bottom of the page, no information found, so scrolled back up, then found a little box, stating "Offer terms" and there is the information.
Lesson learned on my part, to ALWAYS read the small print. However, I've still given WW 2 stars only, because the website offered me nothing that I couldn't find myself online, and because they could have made it very clear in one small sentence, tagged to the offer, that once accepted, payments will continue to be taken until the contract ends. I shouldn't have to go looking for it. I made an expensive error, there. Please, learn from my mistake, and be warned.
