I just recently downloaded this app and have connected my accounts so I can see my financial position. I had no idea where to start prior to downloading this and now I can see where I currently sit. I admit I have a bit of work to do as far as my finances are concerned however I think my favourite thing is being able to see my net worth and what my debts are after adding these in. I have set up various goals I’m working on for 2024 and look forward to seeing my stand point this time next year. My main focus is paying down my debts and tracking my progress. It’s scary to see what you are spending and where I don’t even realise until I see this show across my accounts that I’ve linked. Yours haha.
I do wish I could delete my budget to redo it, I have tried and it won’t delete so this could do with an update to fix this, otherwise what a great app! Would you guys please fix this budget thing up please that would be amazing.
Thanks WeMoney!

Money Brilliant was exactly that, brilliant! But Westpac bought it (I’m a Westpac customer)… and the features they have adopted are useless. So I transitioned to WeMoney, who can’t even get the basics right; the App does not distinguish between +/- and treats refunds as expenses. And don’t get me started on the clunky re-categorisation.
WeMoney company name reminds me the "WeWork" terrible office rental company in the US. Is it a bad coincidence or do you guys operate under WeWork umbrella
Sorry, but something feels really shady about this app.
Firstly, the app immediately on load pops up with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, asking for your ability to track your activity outside of the app. Straight out of the gate, this is a big red flag - because you’ve not seen their privacy policy, how they use this data, and who they share it with. Plus the fact the App Store listing gives no indication that the app uses your data in this way.
Secondly, there’s no way to sign up to this app without a credit report. Reading their website and features, it seems this is secondary to the app and really has no bearing on the core features it offers. There’s also a complete lack of additional information on what information it’s obtaining and using about you after getting your permission for credit reporting information. Just the usual boilerplate statements next to check boxes.
And if the credit report is being down for the purpose of a Know Your Customer (KYC) check as part of protecting the user and themselves from the limited risk of read only information from banks and information providers - then relying on a credit report is the most invasive way of achieving this. There’s far lower cost and lower barrier methods of achieving KYC without going OTT with a credit report. So everything here screams big red flags.
Australian developer or not, I’m sorry to say I’ve dropped out during the sign up process; and I won’t ever be touching this app with a twenty foot pole.
