Product Details Making Chorizo is easier than you think. This kit provides you with everything you need to successfully make your own Spanish style dried and fermented chorizo. The kit includes specially prepared salami/chorizo salts, chorizo seasoning, 20mtrs of natural hog casings and the bessastart culture. The bessastart culture is great for kick-starting the process of fermentation and maturation. Great for the general foodie and makes a perfect little gift for those who love experimenting in their kitchen. The full recipe is included, but to give an idea of quantities, 1kg of meat and 2mtrs of casings will roughly make 3 x horseshoe regular sized chorizos. If you are a total beginner we would advise having a go at making sausages before going on to chorizo. You will need a sausage stuffer or sausage attachments for a mincer to make your chorizo. All very good
So easy to use and produce great results. Have used many different types of kit for chorizo sausages. None of them compare with this kit. Highly recommended even for the begginer. Mind you the need for either an attachment for the food mixer or a pump is essential.
Nice kit with comprehensive instructions. May be improved by adding a little more- such as the butchers twine etc, as there’s obviously the fresh ingredients but also some equipment that you need.
Chorizo finally ready to taste and it turned out brilliant. Taste is bang on and as good if not better than deli bought. Would highly recommend this kit.
