misinformation

Arrived on time for my appointment. I had to wait at least 45 mins after filling the application. after my appointment I had another appointment. I drove an hour in the rain on on of the most dangerous road to find out that the dentist office can not contact my insurance because" they are close" and I asked me to pay cash if I wanted to be treated. NO ONE MENTION THAT WHEN I BOOKED MY APPOINTMENT. I contact the cooperate again and all they were able to say is "I'm sorry" !

I went to western dental here in merced California all i needed was a tooth removed they said I'd have to be put to sleep because they said they'd have to cut it out for sleeping gas they said a full payment would be 1,173 plus tax so basically 1200.00 for sleeping gas for between 45 minutes to 1 hour thats crazy they need to lower their prices on everything.

horrible

horrible! I made monthly payments monthly. In the meantime, I called regularly to get them to reverse the $900 charge. Every time I call, I get transferred over, and over. the business model of Western Dental is to make you wait for hours, wait in the room for more time, and then get you to agree to the charges BEFORE you are even partially informed.

Western Dental put a set of $900 periodontal trays onto my bill when I didn't want it, i never picked it up, and I never used it. The associates talked me into trying the trays, but it appeared that I need impressions in order to receive the trays. Western Dental in San Marcos was NOT competent at doing impressions. They were unable to do the impressions, and I was told to come back at another time. I returned two more times, and each time the impressions failed and I was required to come in again. At this point I said, "I do not want this. You are not suited to providing this product. I am willing to pay for the impressions, but NOT the rest." They told me I had already agreed to the $900, and that it didn't matter that I didn't want it. The product arrived at the office, and I once again, said I didn't want it. I continued to make monthy payments on the legitamite charges, and pushed back onovre the periodontal trays which were not wanted, not picked up, and not wanted. I filed a grievance in May of 2019, and I was never informed of the results. In November of 2019, the account was put in collections.

I should be able to pay for the failed impressions that were made, and remove the balance of the charges. The staff was incompetent, insensitive, and lacking any accountability. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

🏃‍♀️Another bad review. Stay away from this dental group!

Run, run, run away as fast as you can. I wish I would have read the reviews BEFORE I chose a Western Dental plan with my employer. Now I have to wait for an open enrollment period to change. This company got an “F” rating with the better business bureau, has consistent bad review boards across the spectrum that rate 2 stars or less. Why? Because they are simply not good. Sometimes I find a single office that has performed better than others but rarely above a two star rating. I mean really, the dentist is usually not a favorite place already, and a bad dentist experience is worse!

My experience started poorly, due to their customer service on the telephone just trying to make the appointment and checking to ensure my coverage. Second experience poor also when I actually went in to the Indio, California location, I waited over an hour to get called in, even though I was early. Third, saw Dr. Pasha who looked at my mouth and said I needed 8 new fillings, a product to treat my gums, and a cleaning. Then came an estimate of $4,000. Say what? I reminded them I had good dental insurance, so the next estimate that came back was $50 for my crown replacement due to the fact I didn’t buy the gum treatment product because it was a scam and a money grab. I looked it up online while I was waiting. When I questioned why I needed 8 fillings, did I have 8 cavities? No, it turns out Dr Pasha wanted to milk my insurance by replacing “stained” fillings? OMG Then when I said I wanted to actually get a filling where there WAS a cavity, they quoted over $400 for one tooth filling. My insurance covered the filling with the standard silver, and I was okay with that because it’s way back on the bottom so, who cares right? She refused and would only fill with tooth colored filling. I said I couldn’t afford the $400 and wouldn’t mind the silver. The dentist flat out refused.

The hygienist spent as little time as possible cleaning my teeth, if that’s really what she did. Now, I’ve had a lot of cleanings in my life of 52 years, and this was by far the worst, most ineffective cleaning I have ever got.

This company is only out to scam, push products not needed, and refuse to provide the necessary care unless you want to pay heavily out of pocket. STAY AWAY! I’m serious, do not go there. Read the reviews, they are real. My only hope is that I don’t have dental needs until January when my insurance change takes affect.

Worst dentist ever

Worst dentist ever. I had a tooth pulled and he left pieces of sharp tooth still in my mouth. He didn't even look when he pull the tooth, to make sure he had everything out. The first day when I get home and the numbing wear off. I noticed that there a sharp piece still in my mouth stabbing my gums. So, I had to use my finger and force that sharp piece off. 3 days later I'm still in pain so I look in my mouth and there's another sharp piece. So, again i used my finger to get it off and it took me forever, but I got that one off too, but the other side of it I cannot get that piece off whatsoever. And now I can pull my gums back and it looks like there is more tooth under my gums or a bone I'm not sure what it is. But it's killing my mouth. And it looks like blood blisters have grown under as well. I called and what I was told is don't worry your body will reject it and it will push outon it's own. Well, I don't believe that one bit now I have to find a different dentist to help me because I'm in so much pain. And the area does not look normal at all. The pics r nothing from how it looks in person.

Please read all reviews online and DO…

Please read all reviews online and DO NOT EVER step foot in this place. I am sorry I did not do this before. We were quoted $723.00 for a deep cleaning and when we got there for the appointment we were told we owed them $1,400 for the deep cleaning. When I asked what was going on with the double charge, I was told if we wanted antibiotic treatment it was $1,400. The old bait and switch. The BBB reviews on this company are an "F". I am shocked they are allowed to do business in this country. And I won't even get started on the staff! Stay away!

Western Dental below average

The people at the front desk that answer the phone/make appointments give out wrong information in regards to the type of appt. that you are making. Also, the first time that I had my teeth cleaned, the hygienist told me that they clean teeth according to the type of coverage that we have (I'm on Medi-cal) The second time I had my teeth cleaned it was done by a Dentist and she was so rude and also very rough. When I asked her if she could be a bit gentle, she told me that she turned down the pressure on the 'water-pick' and that if my gums were not so eroded it would not have been so bad! I do keep going to them because I have no other options.

I showed up for my appointment and…

I showed up for my appointment and checked in, after waiting for awhile I get called back to do X-rays then was sent back to the waiting room after waiting for while, I needed to step out and make a phone call and was told by the front desk they needed to cancel my appointment because they were way behind. Why did they make me wait so long for nothing? So I have the appointment reschedule for another day, so I show up for that appointment to be told my insurance was not active and they could not see me, when I had just checked with my insurance the day before, so again I step outside to confirm this with my insurance turns out my insurance IS active and they were running my insurance under the wrong ID #. Front desk and insurance person the whole time had attitude and were rude.

I am very disappointed with the service, to many people there and it seems like a lot of them don't know what to do to the patients. In my case the service has not been completed and I been going there since June.

Our experience with this Western Dental…

Our experience with this Western Dental location has been nothing but a night mare. They switch doctors a lot. I never get confirmation calls. I have shown up only to be told my son's appointment was cancelled. He is NOT being seen every month by the orthodontist like he is supposed to be. I feel strongly we will end up filing better business bureau complaints and taking them to court for breach of contract before this nightmare is over.
