Average fridge, appalling company.
My previous Westinghouse fridge (same model) lasted less than 6 years before developing a gas leak and failing. After speaking to a retailer I was advised to call the help line and ask for assistance because it was far too short of a lifespan. I called and explained the situation only to be told there was nothing they would do to help. I then went and purchased another fridge (same model because it suited our needs) and was advised by another retailer to ask in writing for assistance because they also felt it was far too short of a lifespan and unacceptable. I emailed and was told that because I hadn't given them the opportunity to assist me and bought another fridge there was nothing they could do. I pointed out that I had in fact called and asked for help only to be turned down. They then offered me a meagre discount on a second fridge - completely pointless when I'd just purchased one! I asked for a refund of that value only to be told purchasing another fridge was my only option, which I obviously didn't accept. The new fridge I have is going ok but is incredibly noisy so I'm not holding out hope for a long lifespan on it either. After my dealings with their "customer care" I will definitely be moving away from Westinghouse on all of my future white goods purchases and would advise anyone else to do the same.
