We bought a ford Kuga from this dealer…

We bought a ford Kuga from this dealer drove from Glasgow, and told the car was great. we paid £3150 cash for the car. This car had injector problems only found this out after I had to get it recovered. was told don't worry get it fixed and we will pay the bill. " not the case i had to pay a further £780" to the garage was advised starter motor was about to go only to find out the engine had seized. Now they are refusing to give me my money back as all of this was within 30 days of the purchase. Sold an un-road car so currently reporting this dealer to the police and trading standards DO NOT USE THIS DEAL CON MAN.
I will do everything in my power to make sure he never sells another car.

Avoid at all costs!!

Purchased a vehicle with a warranty and agreed a service would be carried out. Within a couple of days, warning lights all over the dash. Got a diagnostic done and they said get your money back. £850 repair but not guaranteed to fix. Then the seller went abroad for a couple of weeks. Stopped answering calls and replying to messages. Refused to refund, wanted to repair (which would invalidate my right to a refund) with a new battery and a brake pad !! Vehicle was NOT serviced - brake fluid low and brakes dangerous. Refused to hand over any details of warranty even though I paid him for one.
Now going to court.
Please do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. Our experience here has been nothing less than shocking.

Buyer Beware

The first visit to look around the guys seemed really friendly, although a little pushy offering to put six months tax on, re-mot it and service it to sweeten the deal. We arrived a few days later to pick the car up. The tax hadnt been done, so he went on his phone and pretended to put the tax on. The car hadnt been serviced as the oil was very dark and the oil filter was very old. We also suspect it wasn't taken to a test station for the MOT as the handbrake doesn't hold properly and one of the reg plate bulbs didnt work, these would have been a failure or at least an advisory. The guy said he had sent the V5 off to DVLA and didnt give us the new keeper slip. We had to ring DVLA and pay them for a new V5 to enable us to go to the post office to be able to tax it. So all in all, they they didn't carry out what they said they would and they let us drive the car away knowing it was untaxed and had a very dubious MOT. A couple of weeks after obtaining the car we got a parking fine so they were driving the car around untaxed, we disputed it as at the time of the fine we hadnt even seen the car. I would not deal with this garage again and would advise others to stay clear too.

Buyers Beware

Buyers without mechanical knowledge should PROCEED WITH CAUTION and follow a proper used-car buyer’s checklist before committing. The sellers have a very old-school approach to selling cars i.e. cash only and hiding faults. If you’re comfortable navigating that sort of 1980s Arthur Daley / Del boy style wheeler-dealer experience, you might be fine — otherwise bring someone who knows their way around a car and can spot the FAKE MOT, FAKE Service History and a quick flipped car.
