Fantastic! Ten out of ten for this great service while I was in Suffolk, England. Dave was absolutely first class and reached me in record time. My kia soul car keys had been snapped in half, Dave programmed two new keys for me in record time- in the pitch black dark and during a gale! He was informative and highly impressive, had perfect customer care skills and really knew his business inside out. I'm thoroughly delighted with this company and found Dave and the call centre operator really professional. This is an invaluable and unbeatable service from a company that is clearly very highly organised and well run. Thank you!

Had a previous review but couldn't access my account to update it - After more clarity, The locksmith that came out (John) was very kind and supportive, and managed to get my key programmed and got my car back up and running.
The only issue I had here, was a few things mentioned in my previous review, however, this was the fault of head office/head locksmith sending out the incorrect part to the locksmith, which caused two weeks delays.
I'd like to commend John for doing everything he could, and ultimately, getting my wee car back up and running,

Worst service I have received.
Made a claim Sunday PM, wasn't confirmed until Monday midday. Was told they'd be with me Tuesday. Tuesday was a no show, had to call them to find out. Then had it confirmed twice they would be with me Wednesday, once by phone and once by text. Another no show on Wednesday, I had to call them myself to find out they wouldn't be coming again. Now saying they won't be with me until the Friday. Tbh I have no faith they will actually show up on Friday, I guess time will tell. Slowest key recovery ever.
Can't reply so editting. Your locksmith said I was lying and that there was no broken key and it was a issue with a different component that you could fix for £700. A couple days later I pulled the key fragment out myself, with a pair of pliers that I purchased for about £2 it's worth noting, then had a local locksmith cut and code a new key.
Your locksmith also left my car unlocked on the main road, kept a copy of the key he cut for my vehicle (left site with it), and also had opened my boot and left some of my belongings on the floor in the road.

Absolute crap
Where to begin: So my scenario was an "All keys lost situation" which was reported over two weeks ago. I was given an engineer attending date (12.10.25) the locksmith came out, spent like 3-4 hours getting a new lock and key but failed to program the key.
Apparently he couldn't finish as he wasn't given enough time to carry out the works and had to leave the job without finishing. I phoned up to see what's going on and apparently he was ill equipped foe the job and wasn't given the correct parts to get to the immobiliser. I was then given a date a week away ( today - 19th October) and after the " Head Locksmith" issues the required parts, turn out it was the wrong part and after spending a FURTHER three hours battering my cars dashboard with a hammer ( video proof) the job failed again. Wasted two weeks of my time, absolutely abysmal service, contact centre folk telling me different things and now I'm hunting for more reliable services to fix what this incompetent company can't do. The amount of money wasted and stress caused is a joke.
Today the engineer did try and failed, I commend him for that and I know this isn't on him, but this company is trash, and don't bother commenting with your usual robotic copy and paste responses, you failed to carry out works and caused alot of hassle. Now after you wasted my time i now need to waste more time finding another company to do so.
Use these guys for simple, caveman level jobs, for anything more complex, go elsewhere as I was informed they issue their locksmiths 90 minutes per job.
Bloody joke.

I had lost my key so called RAC(used by sheilas wheels) whom put me through to this company. I called at 4PM which was too late for them to arrange someone but following morning at 9am I received a call from we've got the key and arranged a time slot for 12 till 4. The gentle man came at around 12 and made a new key for my vehicle also coded the spare key I had. 5 star service. Also I would recommend having a key cover its only a small add on insurance policy but saves a lot of money if the car key is lost.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY - TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE IN SHOCK/STRESS
A couple of months ago, my car key failed. I was in a lot of stress as I was supposed to be going to work at my new job, so I was panicking that I would be late. I phoned the RAC, and explained that I had called a local locksmith, who kindly came to help but was unsuccessful.
The RAC then recommended that I speak to someone from we've got the key, who called me and told me that they could send someone out who could definitely get into the car - even if they had to smash a window / damage the car. I wanted to avoid this as much as possible, they also were charging a £168 fee which you had to pay there and then.
I didn't have time to think and I tried to ask different questions, but I felt like the man on the phone was really pressuring me into just paying - he also told me it would be a 2 hour wait for a locksmith and that he would be in contact with me (but didn't give me a contact for them).
After panicking and paying, I realised I had made a mistake and asked the RAC to send someone out (for free), which they did and he managed to get the car open - all of the advice I was given was false, and a money-making scheme.
The locksmith on the phone was lovely, and he had just been finishing off his last job when he called me. I told him I had managed to get into the car, and he said that it was no issue, and he would try and get me a full refund as I hadn't wasted any of his time (he hadn't even got in his van yet).
I then didn't get contacted from the company for several weeks, and had to find a way to contact them so I could enquire about the refund. Apparently they had "forgotten" to call me and informed me that I couldn't get a refund. I think this is disgusting and it is so typical of a big corporation.
Any local locksmith would have been decent, whereas this company are money-grabbing. The sales team are awful, he never gave me the option of taking a couple of minutes to think about it, and I felt forced into paying the money - and had no way to call them back after I had or I would've cancelled it straight away.
I wrote a formal complaint to the company, but didn't get a result. They came back with a ridiculous response.
I didn't have the money in order to afford this, plus having to get a new set of keys and paying for multiple locksmiths labour - I am a young woman, and I. think its disgusting people will take advantage of others in shock/stress.
Avoid this company at all costs, and stick with local locksmiths instead.

Expensive time wasters
Wasted an hour waiting to speak to someone over 3 phone calls, gave post code and registration. Company gave price, when I agreed job, went from 380 plus vat to over 500 plus vat, and couldn’t do job 4-5 days time ‘at the earliest’ Called a local company who could do it in 2 days for 200. I rest my case.

Good afternoon,
I wish to formally express my utmost disappointment with the service I received from your company. It was, without doubt, one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The claim that you have a key is utterly laughable. I contacted your company and was assured someone would attend to me the following day. I waited with my vehicle for over 16 hours, having lost my keys, which was very inconvenient.
Despite this, the engineer sent was not competent and clearly did not know what he was doing. I had previously used the same engineer personally and had to call him again to my vehicle, only for him to fail to complete the job. To make matters worse, you then sent the same individual out once more and charged me a £120 cancellation fee, which I am now disputing with my bank.
Your customer service team has been thoroughly poor and showed no regard for me as a customer. I cannot recommend your company at all; it seems you are merely brokers looking to rip people off. I advise others to contact companies directly, as they are far cheaper and more reliable.
Your lack of care and professionalism has been utterly disappointing. 😠🚗🔑

Absolute shambles.
Both car keys have broken and went through my RAC insurance for them to be replaced. They had already replaced one 3 years ago on the same car. They send a locksmith out who takes my dashboard apart and says the key transponder has been changed since the car was bought originally in 2010 so they need to solder something or somw nonsense. The last locksmith literally made a new key in the back of their van i watched them do it. Now I have to potentially get the car recovered to a Mercedes dealership 40 miles away and told the locksmith they won't cover the actual work. Pay my RAC membership and got a key done easily previously no change in car but can't get it done now. Utter shambles. Have phoned the rac 3 times today and have asked we ve got the key for a report and haven't replied to them. Have to phone them during the day as its now out of hours...mean while im left in the dark and left without a car. Worth paying my rac no, worth trusting we've got the key no.

Big Mistake But Got My Money Back
UPDATE We'Ve Got The Key reviewed the recording of my conversation with their rep and agreed he had told me there would be no cancellation fee. They apologised and refunded the £60 they charged me for cancelling. They also asked if I would amend this review accordingly so I have.
I think it's till worth pointing out that WGTK charged me £540 up front for a job they were unable to do within 48 hours whereas a local auto locksmith did it for £260 within 24 hours and didn't ask for payment in advance. Danny Bees Auto Keys is most definitely your man if you're in North Manchester.

I was advised to use this company by the RAC which turned out to be an expensive mistake.
They wanted over £500 to replace my ignition barrel but couldn't do it for 48 hours. I was desperate to get back on the road and considering several options.
The call centre told me I could book the appointment but, if my situation changed, I could cancel within 30 minutes. I asked if there would be any cancellation fee and was told no, so I made the provisional booking.
Within five minutes of booking this I found a local company who could do exactly the same job, within 24 hours for half the price. I rang We've Got The Key straight back and cancelled my order.
Several hours later, someone called from WGTK to say they would be refunding my £540 minus a £60 cancellation fee!
So, if you want to pay double the going rate or simply pay £60 for receiving absolutely nothing then WGTK are the people to spek to.

I accidentally locked my keys in my boot
I accidentally locked my keys in my boot and contacted RAC, who referred me to this company. When I spoke with a member of their support team, they were empathetic to my situation and informed me that their locksmith was finishing another job and would take a lunch break before assisting me, with an estimated arrival time between 2:30pm and 3pm. I had contacted them around 12n and accepted this ETA, as my house keys were also with my car keys. I was told the driver would call me 30 minutes before arrival. However, when 3pm passed without any contact, I called again and was told the locksmith would not arrive until 5:30–6pm. This was very misleading, as I would not have booked the service if I had known about the delay. Additionally, I had to agree to a cancellation policy when booking, which seemed unnecessary given the urgency of the situation. However, I now understand why they make you agree to this as you won't get your money back If the locksmith does not show up at the specified time or day you rquested, and you can't canel and book another service unless you're happy with them taking your money, so you're held hostage in way. While the locksmith did a good job, the sales team were very misleading. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company and advise caution to anyone considering their services. It may be beneficial to explore local providers to avoid any added stress and inconvenience in an already difficult situation.
