Complete waste of my time. Had a bmw x5 to sell. Agreed a price. Gave all my details, full history etc.

I was of the understanding that a couple of mechanics would be round to inspect the vehicle and when happy, take it away.

But it was a single guy who spent about an hour and a half walking around the car and taking pictures. Also took it for a test drive for several miles.

Before he reports back to me, I get a text message saying, 'Sorry we couldn't sell your car on this occasion. If you change your mind, blah blah blah'.

The guy then just hands me back my paperwork and walks away.

First and last time of using them.

Prompt answer of my calls, dealing with my queries, arriving early for the car collection and prompt payment

The process started off fine, with the first person I spoke to being very helpful and explaining the process in great detail. I had to give a report of any damage etc that was on the car. I clearly explained where the damage was on the car, detailing the scuff on the front bumper ( listen to the recorded phone calls if you want proof WeWantAnyCar!).

Then it went downhill.

I was told a collection time of between 9am and 1pm.

At 2pm I called and asked if they were still collecting the car (thinking i had got my days mixed up), and they advised the driver was probably stuck in traffic (remember this).

Received a phone call at 3pm saying the person was on their way. When they arrived ON FOOT at about 4pm (so not the agreed time), they apologised as the TRAIN was delayed.... The train..... so no traffic holding the driver up.

The person collecting the car, then spent time asking questions and taking photos of the car, before driving off without me being paid.

A quick phonecall later and the car was back with me , with the collecting person calling the office to sort the payment out. The collecting person told the person at the office that there was a scuff on the wing (completely incorrect - it was the bumper)

After around half an hour or more of waiting, the person at the office said they would offer me £100 less as I hadn't declared the scuff on the front wing... which was actually the bumper. I explained (rather heatedly) that I had clearly declared the scuff on the bumper, and even offered to send photos prior to the collection. I also advised that I had been told the haggling side of things wouldn't be done and that i was pretty p'd off.

The lady on the phone then came back with an offer which was £50 less than the agreed price. Being sick to death of standing outside, and faffing around i agreed to the price and the car went on its way.

Overall pretty annoyed that a price was agreed, damage was clearly explained before the collection and I offered to send the photos which was refused.

Further to the above, ignore any rubbish they tell you about having to "reduce the offer because they will have to repair it". It has literally gone onto the Manheim auction site with all of the damage etc that was on it when i sold. Reduce the cost because you have to fix it my a**e.

Excellent customer service, the person I spoke with took a few details arranged for someone to view my car, he called and turned up on time was very polite and professional, the price agreed on the phone was paid within 10 minutes the money was transferred

Excellent to deal with. Unfortunately the transport company let them down a bit but We Want Any Car themselves were brilliant at sorting it out. They told me they would not be using that transport company again. I would be very happy to use We Buy Any Car in the future.

Second time using WWAC, have also successfully recommended to close family. Great communication throughout, I knew what was happening every step of the way. The process can be as quick or as slow as you need it to be, no pressure to complete, which I appreciated as I was selling my late Mum’s car. Valuations vary day to day so don’t think you’re locked into the first quote. I sold the vehicle after checking valuations over a 3 month period and got a great price. On the day the buyer/driver will not leave until you/they are satisfied payment has reached your bank account. Great team to deal with, whether face to face, via email or phone. Not to be confused with other such companies - if you’re honest about the condition of your vehicle from the get go, you WILL get the price quoted.

An excellent, very efficient service

From start to finish the entire team were brilliant. Justin in the sales team was super helpful and explained the process well. When my car was collected Tim explained everything again and was so informative. Could not fault them.
I’ve seen previous reviews that people are not happy that they deduct money from the quote but if you are honest with them from the start about the condition then there is nothing hidden. I told the sales team that my alloy had bubbled and there were a few surface scratches on the bumper and I got paid out exactly what they offered.
Well done We Want Any Car. Would recommend you to anyone selling a car!
