Short Review

I have now bought my second bike from Wheelsports and I am more than satisfied. No matter who you meet from the team, everyone is incredibly accommodating and highly knowledgeable. At Wheelsports, you receive excellent, personalized advice that is perfectly tailored to your individual needs and wishes. For me, it is an absolutely top-class bike shop with a lot of heart and dedication.

Just picked up my brand new Orbea Rise…

Just picked up my brand new Orbea Rise LT M-Team! The team in the shop gave pro support on the first setup, took their time to evaluate a problem on a old Fox rear shock which I brought from my Intense Tracer - 100% confidence my shock will be back better than factory made.
Friendly and chilled atmosphere well stocked shop - unfortunately a bit far for frequent stop overs but it worth to get there for sure

Orbea RS Range Extender…

I ordered an Orbea RS Range Extender Gen 2. The stated delivery time was 3 to 5 days. The next day perfect communication that the package was shipped. After two days the package arrived well packed. TOP, very happy to do it again.

Excellent bike, delivery in 8 days, but I had to complete the bike setup by myself

I wanted to buy a bike from this webshop and, by reading all the recent reviews, I was afraid to lose my money or to not get a proper bike. At the end I placed the order in March and I got my Orbea Rallon 2023 after one week and it is perfect. I wanted them to setup the bike (e.g. put the tyres in tubeless configuration), but Frank (the owner) told me that he had issues with manpower and it would have been easier to perform the setup by myself.

Checking a couple of videos on youtube about "Orbea Rallon unboxing", I saw that the bike is mostly pre-mounted and there are only few parts to be mounted (handbars, seats). If you have a torque wrench and some grease/carbon assembly paste, it is not so a hard job. In the worst case you can bring the bike to your bike store in town.

Bike was shipped via a company different from DHL, which used the groupage transport, and I managed to get the bike in Italy 8 days after shipping from Germany. Overall, I would say it has been a good experience. Thank you very much, Frank and your team!

Wheelsports.de A Complete Nightmare !

On April 18, 2023 I ordered an Orbea Urrun 30 from Orbea-versand.de (= Wheelsports.de). 3025,- euros paid by bank. Orbea-versand.de is an international supplier of the brand is stated on their website with the slogan: Der Orbea Bike Onlineshop mit weltweitem Versand.
What should have been a nice experience turned into a nightmare with a lot of frustration and damage for me as a customer.
The bike was in stock at Wheelsports.de and the shipping would be 1-6 working days + 5-6 days extra because of a lack of employers. Because I needed the bike for a cycling holiday abroad, I reguarly contacted Wheelsports.de so that everything would run smoothly and the bike would be delivered on time. For shipping, Wheelsports works with shipping partners DHL, UPS and DPD and on May 9, Wheelsports announced that the bike was shipping with DHL. No shipment was known at DHL. I also received the message from Wheelsports that the shipment would go through GEL expedition. GEL only stated that it was stored there in overnight storage. GEL was supposed to call me but nothing happened and my email to GEL went unanswered.
I emailed Frank Dressler, the owner of Wheelsports, and was told that the bike was on its way and that he thought (!!!) that they should be able to make the delivery on time.
Nothing happened and the bike remained in GEL's overnight storage.
In the meantime I had gone abroad without the bike and on May 26 I received the message from Dani (Wheelsports administration?). She said that GEL does not deliver to private individuals. (!!!!) And her question was if I had a company or if I knew someone with a company (?????????????) WHAT DO I HEAR NOW? I ordered as a private person.
Wheelsports has on its website that they ship bicycles to the Netherlands for 49 euros. But in the end, (almost 2 months later !) I was told they couldn't find a shipping company for that price. (?????)
The bike was still in GEL's overnight storage on June 13, almost two months after my order.
So Wheelsports had done nothing to properly arrange the shipment or get my bike back from GEL.
Confidence in the professionalism of Wheelsports was completely lost and I demanded my money back. I have already received that. Wheelsports commentary: unfortunately it is now the case that we cannot find a shipper to the Netherlands.(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Result: Much annoyance, a ruined cycling holiday, financial loss for me and no bike after two months.
Conclusion: Orbea-versand.de (by Wheelsports.de) has no overview of shipments, has no staff and is not able to ship to another (neighboring) country.
What they offer beautifully on their website is not true and only leads to misery.
And in doing so, they also damage the Orbea brand.
Buy at Wheelsports.de ? NEVER AGAIN.

So on 4 september 2025 TWO AND A HALF YEAR LATER finally a reaction on the my review. Says enough about the complete chaos at Wheelsports.de. And they still think that Amsterdam is situated in Belgium !
It shows that Wheelsports is no more than an embarrassing "bussiness" Shame on you !

Hello. We are very sorry that you had a bad experience with us. This is a pretty complicated case as deliveries to Belgium used to be quite difficult. We still worked with GEL as there were no other options. By now, we work with GO-Logistik.

After more than 2 years we still feel the urge to answer to an old bad review and hope you're good.
