Very bad customer service

Very bad customer service. No empathy at all. If I could only give zero rating on this one oh I would do it. My mom asked me to call the billing department to update her credit card info for the extended service plan since her card got lost during the holiday season and she just got her new card yesterday. They transferred me and when I talked to somebody at the billing dept. and the lady was so rude, she talks in a sarcastic manner, her tone was very rude. And she keeps on interrupting me as I was trying to explain to her that I was just asked to call them to update my mom’s billing payment. She talks as if I am the dumbest person she has ever encountered. In fact, she was the one who is dumb. As soon as she realized that she was wrong, not even a sorry and just transferred me to another person. Guys, you need to improve your employees.

whirlpool makes sub par trash

This brand of appliances are sub par, at best. Even that is a stretch.

I dont own anything fromm them, however I have lived in multiple "high end" apts and whirlpool appliances typically adorn these supposed high end Apts.

I have nothing good to say, the design is terrible , in particular their fridges suck the big one. The vegetable trays in the bottom literally fall out of the fridge and shatter when you open the door. The fridge door is unbalanced (even with no food in it) and swings wildly, damaging my wall.
My whirlpool washer and dryer infuriate me daily, with the nonsense "touch buttons" that you more or less need to punch to get them to work.

My dishwasher doesn't clean anything, won't even clean utensils properly. I've even cleaned the dishwasher with a special detergent, its still a pc of trash.

Basically I wouldn't give this company a red cent if I were building because its very poor quality overall.

Whirlpool, you need to do much better, or call it quits imo.

Whirlpool Sells Defective Microwaves

I purchased a $1000 Whirlpool microwave with an extended warranty. Within a few months, the lightbulb stopped working. A technician came and replaced the mother board. Since then, there have been 3 more service calls regarding the lightbulb not working. I am now using the extended warranty and since the lightbulb is a "consumable" product, I am to pay $250 for the last service call or my warranty will be null and void. I refuse to pay since Whirlpool evidently sells defective products. They should be replacing the defective microwave! The only thing they could offer me was a 20% discount on another Whirlpool microwave! I will never purchase Whirlpool again!

If I could zero stars

If I could zero stars, I would.
Unless you want to waste tons of hours or accelerate your aging process, don't buy from them or deal with them. I bought a new washer and dryer, from the moment of delivery, it wasn't working well. I called the store I bought from, zero support. Calling Whirpool directly is a challenge (to say it nicey) in itself. The phone number doesn't work, it just constantly disconnects your call.
Finally after finding another phone number, I had to have multiple technician visits - claiming my dryer works properly.
5 months later, my washer is leaving dirty marks on clothes and dryer still not drying. Customer serviced scheduled more repair visits - finally the tech claims he sees the dryer issue - the same issue i'm complaining of since delivery of the appliances.
Appliances are mediocre at best, customer service is horrible. Do not recommend.

Ordered a coil top stove

Ordered a coil top stove, after having it installed I noticed the inside plain of glass was defective. It had slid down about 3 inches, inside the oven door, and the insulation is falling out. Had a service tech come out and reassured me that it’s a manufacturing issue. He would then order the parts to fix it. It’s been 4 weeks and the parts are still on back order. I called whirlpool directly and the only thing they would offer was $100. So not only is it a health concern with the insulation, I am still out an oven with no guarantees on if/when it’ll be fixed. The customer service lady was rude and disrespectful. I have had nothing but issues with whirlpool.

Dissatisfied with warranty service

Purchased a whirlpool range through Costco on July 11 2025 arrived on August 8 2025, worked OK until Nov 13 2025 when turning oven on caused a loud bang sound and oven bake element failed . Not heating past 300f. Called whirlpool Canada and advised there is no one in our area that can perform warranty service!! "Find someone on your own and submit receipt if under $500 , if over $500 submit estimate." Then we called Costco warranty support as they are who we purchased from. They took info and said they woul reply in 3 days, 5 days later nothing. Discovered Appliance pros is the service provider for Whirlpool Canada, called them, They said they could have someone here on Dec 17 2025!! My husband is an electronics technician with 40 years experience repairing everything from ATM's, to retail and network equipment for a global corporation. He advised the Appliance pros that the problem was caused by a wire from the 220 mains shorting to the bake element spade connector and arcing causing the bang sound (poor harness routing/cable management). It appears that the relay for the bake element was destroyed by this arcing so the control board would require replacing. Both broil and bake element meter to 16 ohms which is between 10 and 40 ohm spec. Appliance pros refused to ship us the control board and insisted that the tech has ro come and diagnose the issue, when my husband suggested that the tech carry the control board they insisted the tech must come and diagnose then order the part!! This means we will not have a functional oven to cook the Christmas turkey for our Christmas dinner family reunion. Totally dissatisfied with Whirlpool!! Trying to get this resolved and even save them time and money

Difficult to deal with

My oven has experienced multiple failures of a control panel. The company ultimately covered the part under warranty, but contact times on appointment bookings and follow up items were extremely long, the service rep was rude and hung up on me when I politely expressed my dissatisfaction with 45 minute holds. It seems like they are happy to sell their products but are uninterested in responding to client concerns.

To say this company is dreadful to deal…

To say this company is dreadful to deal with is an understatement. Ordered wall oven hinges that turned out to be defective and dangerous. The oven door fell off and severely injured my daughter in laws leg. Called Whirlpool to start return process and was informed that I only had 7 days from date of purchase to return them. Not the 30 they advertise because they were installed on the unit. Prior to ordering I was informed I had 30 days, no stipulations or special circumstances were mentioned. Rest assured I will NOT be dealing with or even recommending Whirlpool to anyone for any reason other than to stay away.

Troubleshooting Support needs Improvement

I called Whirlpool for assistance with my water softener and was transferred to another department for troubleshooting. Unfortunately, the agent I spoke with (who had a Philippine accent) seemed unsure of how to assist me and appeared unprepared to handle my issue. Partway through our conversation, he suddenly claimed he couldn’t hear me and advised me to call back, effectively ending the call. The experience was frustrating and unhelpful — I expected better support from Whirlpool.

I wish I could give zero stars

I wish I could give zero stars—this was beyond horrific. After only three measly years, the compressor on my Whirlpool fridge died. Unacceptable. I’ve owned GE fridges from 2010 that are still running after 15+ years, yet this overpriced hunk of junk couldn’t even last a fraction of that.

To make matters worse, I paid $465 for a so-called extended warranty promising “urgent repairs.” Urgent? What a joke. Seven days later—that’s a full week without a fridge—I have received nothing. No part. No update. Not even a courtesy call to say, “We’re tracking the part, here’s when to expect it.”

I have a small child. A week without refrigeration is not just inconvenient—it’s a health emergency. Whirlpool, your product quality and Whirlpool Appliances Pros Service are a disgrace. You should change service company.

worst experience

I am not surprise that all the reviewers think the same as me! Service reps are so bad. One of them can't even locate my product given model/serial number and keep saying it is incorrect. She hung up on me. I called again and another person found it right away with just giving my address.

There were THREE NO SHOWS from the service techs. There were numerous appointment changes by the online system - no clue why!

One of the tech replaced a part in the fridge but indicated that it was likely that the problem would continue to persist with the fridge/freezer given the model.

Why would you make/sell a product that will continue to give problem? I asked to investigate on the product's defect but of course they don't care and they won't as it is now past the one year warranty.

I purchased extended warranty which costed almost $500 thinking it would be fixed (stupid of me) and it looks like that is also going into trash.

My rating is zero

My rating is zero, not one. The worst experience in my life with product quality and customer service.
We got a brand new laundry pair with a new house. Washer died in the middle of the cycle with our bedding inside after 3 weeks of use. Whirlpool tech was not available for 4 weeks. We had to pay a 3rd party tech to open the hatch as laundry started to smell. The Whirlpool tech wasn't sure how to fix it. Ordered random parts (6 weeks lead time plus 5 weeks to wait for the next visit). We called local repair shop. The parts were available immediately if not on warranty.
The dryer started giving us problems after about a year and quit after 18 months. The local tech tried to fix it but new problems just kept popping up. When he called Whirlpool tech support, they suggested to start replacing major parts one at a time ($600 per part).
Ironically, this wasn't the worst of it. When I called Whirlpool customer service, there wasn't even a slight embarrassment on their side about the appalling quality and reliability of their products. They offered me 15% off the next purchase (as if I would ever buy another Whirlpool product). I kept insisting that they should fix the dryer at their own expense. But I was told, this is not how Whirlpool does business. Eventually, the "supervisor" offered me 30% off a new dryer purchase. I said, I will think about it. Just send me the discount code. He said, I am going to do it right now. I never received the code. I also never received even a slight apology for the inconvenience they had put me through.
STAY AWAY FROM WHIRLPOOL PRODUCTS AND THE COMPANY AS A WHOLE! THE PRODUCTS ARE GARBAGE AND THE COMPANY HAS NO CONCEPT OF CUSTOMER SERVICE OR RESPOSIBILOITY FOR THE QUALITY OR RELIABILITY OF WHAT THEY SELL

$1,000 Wasted

$1,000 Wasted — Whirlpool Has No Idea What They’re Doing
My fridge developed a constant loud noise and never stops running. Whirlpool sent technicians multiple times, but instead of fixing the problem, it has been treated like a trial-and-error experiment at my expense.

They clearly have no idea what’s going on or how to fix it. After paying nearly $1,000 in repairs, I’m left with the exact same broken fridge I started with. This is not service it’s a waste of money and blatant disregard for the customer.

I will never buy from Whirlpool again and would warn anyone considering their products or service to look elsewhere.

poor quality and customer service

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator last year for over $1800, Model # WRQA59CNKZ. Recently, it started showing an alarm, so I contacted customer service. They sent a technician who quoted me over $1600 to fix it — almost the cost of a new fridge! On top of that, the customer service was terrible — unhelpful, slow to respond, and not willing to offer any reasonable solution. Very disappointed with both the product and the support.

If I could give 0 I would

If I could give 0 I would. I have never seen such horrid customer service in my life. My mother bought a new condo with all whirlpool appliances. The microwave makes a huge clang when you shut the door.(sounds like ghe bottom is falling out). the answer it is all good it does not stop you using it???? But it is brand new and is not correct, they are doing nothing but intimidating a senior citizen and ducking blame. I will never buy from them again. It is Shamefull.
