I recently purchased a bottle of Bruichladdich 26 Year Old 1994 Black Art 08.1 from whiskysite.nl and not only the bottle was overpriced, but the international shipping is also outrageously expensive - and very, very slow.
For the sake of transparency, here is a cost comparison with a French website, buying the same whisky with international shipping as well.

On whiskysite.nl:
Bruichladdich Black Art 08.1 - 389,99€
International shipping - 34,95€

On monwhisky.fr:
Bruichladdich Black Art 08.1 - 350,00€
International shipping - 0€ (when more than 300€)

So in total, I could have saved 74,94€ if I purchased exactly the same item on monwhisky.fr.

On top of this, the shipping on whiskysite.nl with postNL was the slowest I've seen to date. It took more than double the expected time to arrive and on the day it was supposed to be delivered, it was still in the Netherlands. Shipping with DHL is cheaper and much, much faster.

When asked about this delay, whiskysite.nl simply replied with the tracking information I could already see in postNL, which added no value whatsoever.

In conclusion, I don't recommend buying in whiskysite.nl. Search for German and French websites instead, they have an equally large product catalog and much lower prices on both products and shipping.

I have placed a few orders already and always got the products within a few days despite the transport distance.

Now they have a cool APP for Android where you can browse all their products and "like" them so you won't forget what you may be interested in.
I also noticed that the APP retains the shopping cart which I think is cool because I shop once a month, so during the month I can stuff the cart :-)

I placed an order with Whiskysite.nl and the service I have received has been excellent. Saw a bottle I was interested in, went on their website, Very easy to use and paid with PayPal. I received an email from both Whiskysite.nl telling me it had been dispatched and giving me the tracking number. The bottle arrived quickly, very well packaged and in perfect condition. Many Thanks to all at Whiskysite.nl for providing a first class service where everything has just gone perfectly. I would recommend Whiskysite.nl to anyone and will be definitely be buying from again.
