We Love Whistle!
We love the whistle product. The new features with health and wellness are actually very helpful. Also seeing the amount of exercise our dogs are getting as opposed to how much they really need is very helpful. I’ve been slacking in that department and seeing it is a great reminder. We have German shepherds who have a fenced in yard but knowing should they ever get loose I can find them quickly and easily gives me peace of mind. I see way too many missing dogs and have recommended this product many times. Yes I would definitely purchase again. Whistle is also very responsive if there is ever a problem. This is money well spent if you love your pets.
Great product
Several members of our family as well as myself own multiple whistles for our dogs. We couldn’t be happier with the health features as well as the fitness trackers. The GPS function is the best feature. I would recommend this for any pet owner.
So disappointed.
Ever since Whistle updated their software about 2 months ago, the tracking ability is basically non existent. It used to work great. Now, the GPS can not locate the dog. The path never updates until the dog comes back into the safe zone. Totally useless. We tried everything they say to do to correct the problem. Reload the app. Reboot the phone. Reboot the whistle device. Nothing fixes the problem. It will give one location spot when the dog first leaves the area and then, when you push the Find My Pet button, the GPS dial just spins and spins and there are no other updates after that. Before the software was changed the updates came in every 15 secs. We still live in the same place and the cell phone service is exactly the same. Bad software now. Canceling and trying something else. So stupid.

Both of my dogs have a whistle from quite a few years. I lost one of my dogs whistles and just purchased another one. Dogs wear it 24/7 and it provides everything I need to know about their activities. I can't imagine being without it. Great investment for your dog and their health.
Lost and found
This is the best investment. We live in the country rarely does 1 of our dogs takes off. When 2 of them took off we were able to find them quickly 2 miles from home on a dirt road I did not know was there! So scary, but what a relief to know where to find them!

Pretty good device. even with high freq tracking it doesn't seem to update location very well. Secondly, it is common for it to tell me it doesn't have enough information to calculate dog health etc.. yet it is always charged and on the dog.

I had trouble with my unit and almost sent it back with the intention of choosing another brand. I am glad I contacted support first. Never have I EVER received such clear, easy and effective support from a company. Aime is incredible and I hope Whistle gives her a raise. I have my new unit arranged and I could not be happier.

Insightful App
The Whistle app is very complete and insightful. I appreciate being able to track Sami's eating and licking. The lost star is for the location feature that only bearly works sometimes. Overall I recommend it if you want insight into your dog's health.

Design Flaw/Poor Customer Service
I bought 2 devices in Jan 2021. Didn’t start using until Jan 2022. A few days ago, I realized my pup had lost her device. Using the app I found the Whistle, but not the collar connector, which must have broken. It’s the Only way for it to come off unintentionally. This was over the weekend - I bought a new one online, paid for expedited shipment. And guess what. They can’t tell me when I will get the piece - “hopefully this weekend”
So here is the issue. In 4 days I am moving 3000 miles. I want the tracker for the trip. Whistle can’t send a new collar mount next day to me, they can’t guarantee the piece will arrive before I move and basically I am out of luck.
I’m disappointed in their customer service policies (the reps I spoke to were great but company policy dictates what they can do). Clearly there is a design flaw - there is no way that price should have broken. Oh and yes - the one tracker that I had stopped holding a charge before I ever used it and Whistle again said they couldn’t help me
This is not how you treat a customer. I’m not looking for anything free. But you have lost a customer- and be assured I will tell everyone I know about my experience

I have been using Whistle since the first generation and I've always been a fan of their product, especially now with all the improvements made to the newer models.
Disappointed
We have been Whistle customers for years and Tagg before that. Always let us know when our dog left the safe area. Now our dog is getting out and we get no notification. It seems if we go miles away, it will track. That does us no good, as she leaves within miles, but has busy street to cross. We have tried everything to fix this. Whistle blames our internet service.

DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT!!!! Customer service tries to do everything possible that they can to get out of sending working replacement device under warranty. Every time I called I would get the runaround and not resolve any of the issues I was having & wouldn't send a replacement. I am not electronic or Wi-Fi illiterate and know proper setting protocols.

Whistle gives me peace of mind about my furbie's location. If connected to your wifi the battery lasts a really long time (weeks). I love the weekly wellness reports!
Good tracking, everything else is terrible
The basic function of the product is great. We have them for our 3 dogs. Setting them up is a mess worh confusing errors and connection problems and support is basically nonexistent. We regret choosing whistle but now that it’s all finally working, we are kind of stuck with it.

Active English Setter
We love Whistle. We have a very active English Setter - both in daily activity, and in the field. Being a numbers person, it is cool to see the validation of his daily metrics. It is also reassuring that we are providing the best exercise, and that he is within the markers for drinking water, scratching and licking. The GPS is an added security, that we hope we NEVER have to use. Strongly recommend Whistle!
