Found the office staff pretty helpful and the removal people were friendly. However we booked an hourly rate and the movers we really slow. Our move was small, and near, and it cost us over 800 pounds. They were unwilling to disassemble basic stuff to try and make sure it would actually fit through doors and we ended up disassembling a few bits ourselves that they 'couldnt' do. Terrible terrible value for money.

Really good experience with these guys, the men who helped on the day were great and the office was really helpful in answering questions I had about the plan for my move. Would definitely use them again!

Office Management is surly and inefficient. Overpriced and no contact from them despite several emails. Have used them a few times and the quality of work has plummeted. Would NOT recommend them.

Unfortunately we’ve had a really poor service from this company.
We were due delivery of a table in mid January: only 2/3 boxes were delivered. Now, three months later, we were expecting the remaining box to be delivered today but the van didn’t turn up.

Polite and professional!

Had a very expensive chandelier delivered and they opened the box in front of me to check the goods were no damaged.

I had a very polite reminder call

This is the company statement - You won’t find a better delivery service than White Van Gentlemen.

Waited half a year for a £3000 light, and on delivery the box was held vertically and then dropped on the floor from full height.

No apology from staff for dropping on the floor or even admitted to dropping.

Based on this would never use, as not met any of the company’s statements of best delivery service

I have used them a handful of times in the past and they’ve been nothing short of excellent for me. Efficient, punctual and their duty of care is bar none. I always recommend and have always had positive feedback from everyone.

Let's start with something postive - the removal guys who completed our house move were super friendly and hardworking.

Unfortonately, that's where the positivity ends. The rest of our experience with White Van Gentlemen was pretty awful and consistant with many of the other reviews on here.

The office and communication before the move was a shambles, we only booked with them in the end out of desperation as we had a short time to organise the move and everyone else was booked up already (should have read the signs that these guys were the only ones not booked up!).

The move itself went ok but during the move a computer was smashed and leg from a sofabed lost. Accidents happen so no real drama, except for the fact the insurance sold to us by White Van Gentleman was completely inadequit to cover the replacement of the computer they smashed and then company also refused to pay for the sofa as we didn't claim in time (apparently you have to have unpacked and searched every single box from your whole house move within 7 days to put in a claim for anything missing).

Overall, there response has been appauling and they are best avoided at all costs.

Once again (3rd time!), impeccable service from start to finish. Thank you as always WVG team. I would never move with anyone else.

Had used them previously and had a positive experience, so booked again when I needed a removal. Unfortunately a very different experience. They were late. Booking was agreed from 8-8.30am, by 8.45am they weren’t here and and I hadn’t heard anything. I called the office to ask where they were, which was relayed to the van, at which stage the van called me to say they were nearby. They took items that were not on the list. They left a dent in both the wall and the ceiling when they bashed the furniture on the way down. They didn’t wear PPE despite having that confirmed by the office prior to their arrival.

Wrote an email outlining these points to the office and they didn’t even bother to acknowledge the email.

One of the best delivery experiences I have had! Delivered large bed - 2 man team took huge care getting it into house and assembling it. Incorrect part delivered and team were great at sorting without fuss or drama or making me feel like I wasting a nuisance. Lovely to have 2 quiet, calm, respectful men undertaking this work.

I read the review below and it 100% echos my experience. The removal men couldn't be more polite, helpful and hardworking, however organising the move was stressful as the office were so disorganised, could never confirm dates, payments (I had to beg them to take my deposit to confirm booking) and the Director is definitely bipolar as he constantly changes the subject when he doesn't want to answer a question and then talks and shouts over the customer as they are trying to explain a problem (it won't make it go away though!). Based on the Director's behaviour I can see the company are facing leadership problems which is sad because the removal men are super professional. He also slammed the phone down on me - just like the review below - at least he is consistent(ly rude)

Van turned up to deliver furniture- it wasnt on the van. Delivery men were excellent- polite and apologetic. They told us to contact the office and they would as well. On phoning we were told Matt, whom was the person in charge, was on a call and would call us back after he had been told about the situation. An hour later no call. On calling back we were told he was in a meeting and would call in 20 minutes. 40 minutes later no call. On calling back we wefe cut off, intentionally? Matt then called. He had no idea what we were talking about, was very blunt and said he would call back promptly. 40 minutes later he called, and said he could do nothing and it would be delivered next week and we would have to take another day off of work. When told we had sold our furniture and taken a day off of work he repeated he could do nothing. On asking to speak to his boss he said he was in charge and the boss was on holiday. He then said he would see what he could do. Calling back he said he had spoke to the boss, who was now self isolating- Matt had obviously forgotten he told me he was on holiday- and that nothing could be done. He said we were going round in circles and put the phone down!!!

I cannot recommend them at all. I was moving from London to Copenhagen and needed my things in Copenhagen on a certain date. They said they could deliver and they picked up the things in my London flat. They then stored my things at their warehouse, but not long before I was about to receive my things they wrote they could not meet the time, but maybe the week after. Their excuse was health reasons and planning which was totally far out. We then had another UK company to go and pick up our things and they drove our belongings to Copenhagen on time. We had paid everything in advance, and they then paid us the amount back for transport to Copenhagen as they did not do that, but then afterwards they then invoiced us for storage 480 GBP. I wrote a complaint which I never got any feedback on.

My mother-in-law booked this company as she was moving from a small house to a flat but we thought we would also take the opportunity to have some other stuff delivered, which meant that the guys had to do three stops.

However, they were incredibly friendly and efficient throughout and managed to get everything to the right place without any problems, despite having to dismantle a bed, as it would not fit down the stairs. They also offered to reassemble the bed on delivery, which we thought went above and beyond what we would have expected.

Fantastic service from start to finish
We used White Van Gentlemen for our recent house move and could not recommend them more. The whole team were polite, professional and efficient. Everything went incredibly smoothly and Zulu and the team were just the nicest guys.
Would not hesitate to use again, or recommend to anyone.
