terrible customer service and double charged

terrible customer service. Charged me twice for the same device because I switched the email on the device to my son's email since I am giving it to him to use. Exchanged dozens of messages with them and still no resolution. They will not share details or proof of second device being ordered and the shipping/delivery proof for privacy reasons, but the charge was on MY CREDIT CARD! There is no live chat or phone support. Go with the Oura or just stick with an apple watch.

I’ve been using the Whoop One for a while now and it’s been excellent. The device is comfortable, accurate, and the app gives you really useful insights into your recovery and training. It has genuinely helped me understand when I can push harder in my workouts and when I need to take it easier — that alone has been a game changer for my training.
I’m planning to upgrade because I want to get even more detailed data, especially on stress levels. The only downside is that Whoop can feel a bit expensive, especially when you factor in the subscription. Still, the value it brings to understanding my body and optimizing my performance makes it worth it for me.
Highly recommended if you’re serious about training and want real data to guide your decisions.

60 Days of Paying for a Ghost Service—Avoid the Replacement Trap

WHOOP is a $10 billion company that operates like a basement startup. I lost my device two months ago and paid for a replacement immediately. Since then? Silence. My order has been stuck in "Processing" for 60 days.

Despite having successfully shipped two units to my address previously, support now claims my address is "invalid"—a transparent stall tactic. I even offered to pick it up in person at their Boston HQ to resolve their "shipping" issue, and they refused.

The bottom line: WHOOP is obsessed with new customer acquisition but treats existing members as an afterthought. They are happy to keep charging your subscription while failing to provide the hardware required to use it. If you lose your strap, expect to be ghosted.

Fake trial and Misleading fees and completely inaccurate tracking

Honestly, this is one of the most disappointing products I’ve ever used.

The tracking is completely unreliable. My phone and Apple Watch consistently show around 20,000 steps, while this device shows barely 10,000. That’s not a minor difference — it’s completely unacceptable. And it’s not just steps: heart rate and other metrics are also significantly inaccurate.

Regarding the shipping: at least the initial £7–£8 fee was clear upfront, so I could decide whether it was worth paying to try the product or not. That part, while not ideal, was transparent.

But what is extremely frustrating is what happens during the return. Being suddenly asked to pay another £7–£8 just to send it back — simply to avoid being charged £100 for a subscription — is very upsetting. This extra cost was not communicated clearly enough considering how important it is.

It makes the whole experience feel misleading, as if customers are being pushed into paying more than expected just to avoid penalties.

Overall, the product is unreliable and the experience is frustrating. I would not recommend this to anyone, and I will be sharing my experience so others are aware before trying it.

Disappointing and not worth the hype

Wanted to try it for a long time and was interesting to use. But honestly don’t think it’s worth it. I wear a watch daily and didn’t like having two things on my wrist.
I also had an issue with the actual watch and it took them months to get it back to me and after the break I never wore it again.
If a gentle reminder daily to exercise is what you need the it’s great for some added reflection and encouragement.
So in a nut shell the first 3 months was interesting. It then had problem and was away for repair for 3 months then it sat on my shelf for the last 6 months.
Would not recommend.

What a really annoying bit of kit!

What a really annoying bit of kit!
It’s incredibly difficult to use. Charging is complicated and very irritating. The subscription is VERY expensive where all the competitors are free and, after all that, it doesn’t really work. It ‘averages’ readings over time but can’t give accurate current info.
The app is very difficult and unclear to understand whatever inaccurate readings it has made.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with WHOOP regarding billing and cancellation.

My device was returned after 1year of the membership and my account was confirmed as inactive after a partial refund on 20 March 2026. Despite this, I was incorrectly charged £229.00 on 12 April 2026, even though no active membership was in place.

I have contacted support multiple times and provided full verification details, but instead of resolving the issue, I was repeatedly asked for the same account information and given no clear explanation for the charge.
At this point:
The membership was inactive
The device had already been returned
A previous refund had already been processed
Yet a new £229 charge was still taken

I;ve had to open a dispute with my credit card company to get this refund.

The strap is tacky even after I purchased and additional one, the fitting of the whoop with the band has been inconsistent every time . While I like the overall health tracking, the system as a whole disappoints especially given the premium pricing

I placed two orders with WHOOP and…

I placed two orders with WHOOP and received only accessories instead of the actual device. I have been trying to return these orders for five days now, but no one responds to emails and no one answers the phone calls in English.

This level of customer support is unacceptable. If a company does not respond to emails or phone calls, how can customers trust the quality of a product that is supposed to monitor their health?

Because of this experience, I do NOT recommend buying from WHOOP. Their customer service is very poor and unreliable, especially compared to competitors like Garmin and Apple.

If there is no response soon, I will escalate this issue through consumer protection agencies and my payment provider.

Years of Use

I've used Whoop for years and, while a bit expensive, have appreciated the consistency and free device upgrades. Support has been a bit frustrating lately as AI chat bots seem to have taken over, but I haven't needed support very often.

I strongly recommend not buying Whoop.

Attention: 'Lauren' in Support'

Disgusting customer support from Whoop… I said I would follow up.

I purchased a Whoop and, like many others have mentioned in reviews, it eventually fell apart. A replacement was sent out, however I was never informed that I would be charged approximately $50 for it.

To make matters worse, the replacement doesn’t even work.

I then requested a refund for the five months the device was unusable. At this point, Whoop has:

My full name
My order number
My address
My original email used for the first Whoop
Delivery details for the replacement (in my name)
My card details (also in my name)

Yet somehow, due to a supposed “typo” in my email, they claim they cannot locate my account.

With all of the above… they still can’t find it? But they can find my bank account to take my money.

Whoop sits around 3.2 stars overall, and likely dropping, this experience has been incredibly

Thank you, Lauren, and Whoop, for a genuinely poor experience. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend not buying Whoop.

I’m giving this a one-star review

I’m giving this a one-star review, which is frustrating because I actually love WHOOP. This is my second device — I had the 4.0 and now the 5.0.

But there’s a serious issue that completely ruins it for me.

The green sensor light runs all night. On top of that, there is no airplane mode like you get with something like the Oura Ring. For anyone who understands circadian biology, deep recovery, and minimizing EMF exposure, this matters. A lot.

You can’t fully disconnect. You can’t truly rest without constant activity from the device.

And now with the WHOOP 5.0, they’ve added a new LED on the device itself. It randomly turns on to indicate status, connection, or whatever else. In a dark environment, that light is disruptive. Even brief light exposure at night can impact melatonin and sleep quality.

So now you have:
• Constant sensor light
• No airplane mode
• Random LED activity at night

That combination just doesn’t align with deep sleep and recovery at all.

I really wanted to love this upgrade, but I can’t ignore this. I’ll be sending it back.

Love the device and the data !

Love the device and the data it provides.

Helping me more and more to understand my habits and improve my health. Love it! Using it for almost 4 years now and its worth every penny.

I believe its one of the best devices on the market and they deliver constantly updates, so the experience gets better and better.

The resources and explanations in the app are very powerful, in combination with the WHOOP AI it really shines.
