I found this company whist scrolling through the internet. I was on a mission for a bespoke beautiful solid wood door. Apart from that, I had no idea what this would entail. I had a picture of my dream door.
I found Chris from Whyte and Wood.
He went through process and explained everything, from selecting the type of wood, door furniture, locks, moulding design, the glass inserts, door measurements and costing. I found this amazing value. More importantly Chis, took my design idea and enhanced this. The design process was enjoyable, made easy and nothing was too much.
Once I was happy with all aspects, the was put into production. Door furniture and locks were amazing.
Chris’s team, Pawel and Attila fitted the door within a couple of hours. Also, left a box of extra paint incase I ever need to touch up in the future.
The service and end product has been exceptional from beginning to end. The door is covered by warranty and is truly a piece of art, the grand entrance to my home.
I can’t thank chris and his company Whyte and Wood enough for my beautiful Frount door and the fantastic service. Definitely recommend them.

W&W changed every window in our property. We shopped around for good quality and we like what we ended up with.

We are going through the process of gradually of changing the windows in our period house to ones that don’t leak air and are double glazed. Chris and his team have made a fantastic job on doors and windows, going to some lengths to find the particular window furniture that I liked. I will be returning to them for more windows over the next couple of years. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

From my initial contact with Whyte and Wood, I cannot praise them highly enough. My initial email contact was returned in under a day, and immediately I was engaged, in not a hard sell, but a realistic and intelligent conversation about what options were available to me to renovate/renew my windows. Importantly, W&W ware able to give me an accurate guide price at this stage - unlike so many other who start trying to inflate the job. Chris visited next to measure up two bay windows as a next stage. this required some fairly extensive fitting and Chris and Pawel were incredibly professional and did an amazing job from start to finish - 5 days. Clean skilled, focussed and a great advert of their professionalism and craftsmanship. This first job led to me replacing the remaining windows, and then later a fantastic new front door - built to my spec and fitting perfectly first time. All thermally glazed with Accoya wood. I would absolutely, and have done already, recommend Whyte and Wood to anyone looking for professional skilled craftsmen to build install, replace or renovate your windows and doors. We instructed Whyte and Wood to make a luxury bespoke kitchen and walk in pantry in our new house. From start to finish, we felt that we had a team of dedicated professionals working to achieve the vision that we had in mind. From the initial design consultation with their designer to the numerous meetings and appointments over zoom and in person we created the perfect design for a very large kitchen and bespoke walk in pantry. Every little detail is taken care of and they worked hard to source the best products and appliances. Through their network of contacts and suppliers, I was able to secure ovens which had a waitlist of nearly a year within a space of a month!
We were so pleased with the design of the kitchen that we also instructed them to design and manufacture our powder room cabinetry.
The quality of the kitchen and powder room is unbelievable and the team of installers which included the director, Chris, worked through the day and night to install the kitchen to ensure that it was completed on time.
I would highly recommend Whyte and Wood for anybody looking to install a quality hand made Kitchen and other cabinetry.
One of the best things about Whyte and Wood is the attentive service and the excellent communication. I felt like I could contact them at any point of the project and get an answer straight away. This is a company that is clearly passionate about the fantastic work that they do and will go above and beyond to make sure that their client is happy.
As with all house building projects there were a number of setbacks and I can honestly say the Kitchen was one of the smoothest processes in the whole renovation. Whyte and Wood were also very good in being flexible and working to our build’s timescales.
A few months after the kitchen was installed, I accidentally damaged some of the paint work on a couple of the cabinets by using the wrong cleaning spray and without any hesitation they sent someone to re-paint those cabinets to correct my mistake!
We were initially considering bigger and well known companies such as Tom Howley and Humphrey Munson to install our kitchen but are so glad that we chose Whyte and Wood!

This is one of the best companies I have ever dealt with.
I helped my son with his project to replace 11 sash windows in his house in North London with new ones made with accoya wood.The old ones had varying degrees of decay.
Chris Wall, one of the directors of the company, responded to my initial enquiry the same day.He then sent me a detailed written reply to my technical enquiries.
After that I visited a project where he and his team were installing some bespoke windows in a house in St Albans where I live.Chris is not your average double glazing salesman as he is involved with the actual installation and has a lot of practical knowledge and experience.
He then did a detailed survey of all the windows in my son's house, which took nearly the whole morning and a decision was made to replace them all.
My deposit was insured.
The lead time for delivery was 16 weeks but the windows were ready ahead of schedule.
The Polish fitter Pawels did a brilliant job taking a day to install each window.He also replaced the blinds where he could and he allowed my granddaughter to interview him for her school project about Low Traffic Neighbourhoods!
I have recommended Whyte and Wood to a friend in St Albans.
