We stayed at the Aberystwyth cabin for our anniversary on 11–13 November 2025, and although the cabin itself was spotless and the stay initially felt special, the experience since checking out has been deeply upsetting and has completely changed our impression of this place.
Shortly after leaving, we realised we had left a cream Nike tracksuit in the bottom drawer of the bed. I contacted the site immediately — within two hours of checkout — by both phone and email. I received no reply. The following day, I called again multiple times and emailed again, still with no response. Eventually, a lady named Angela returned my call and said she would speak to the cleaners and update me the next day. She also confirmed the item could be posted back to us as we live three hours away.
That call never came. Days passed with no communication whatsoever. I have now emailed four or five times and called repeatedly, and I have been completely ignored. The lack of basic acknowledgement, let alone support, has been incredibly frustrating and honestly very upsetting — especially after what was meant to be a special anniversary trip.
What started as a wonderful stay has ended with disappointment, stress, and a feeling that our concern was treated as an inconvenience rather than something that mattered. The complete lack of follow-up or accountability regarding lost property has overshadowed the entire experience. This has left us both disheartened and saddened, and we would strongly urge better communication and care for guests in the future.
Rebecca at Brecon is fantastic and so helpful. We had a massive power cut in Brecon and had no power for most of the evening but Rebecca made sure we where ok even in the gale force winds and rain.
Wigwams booking system is very misleading and please be careful as when you pay your deposit they will take any extra's you have booked that same day without notice even when there order form states extras will be taken on arrival.
The system is not controlled by the site owners and again Rebecca is a star and would highly recommend staying in Brecon with a warm welcome and a beautiful site.
