Rip of. Technical issues, the paid cover covers nothing and the support won’t support you!

The customer support is not helpful at all. I spend hours with them in the chat but they told me they wouldn’t cover my drone in South America only in Europe. I asked how to get the drone there then - and they wouldn’t help with anything after all. I declared the broken down drone they wanted me to resulting in the drone getting lost. Then DJI denied the hundred dollar parcel I had to pay for myself until the drone got lost in customs. They still don’t help, the drone is lost, the cover useless, the issue a technical one due to their firmware how the drone guy assured me. What an unbelievable rip of. Don’t trust DJI, there is better stuff on the market and they don’t care about you!

NO AFTERSALES SUPPORT! BEAWARE

The worst customer service experience I have ever had. I didn't purchase the product directly through DJI but one of their resellers in Canada. All stores that I have seen that sell DJI products explicitly states on their site and at point of sale that all sales are final, and all returns, exchanges and refunds are exclusively dealt with directly by DJI.

Except when you call DJI they claim that its the dealers responsibility to issue the refund. So you end up stuck in the middle with a piece of S*** product that doesn't work and no where to go. I have spoken at length with the owner of the store I purchased the RSC2 Gimbal from and they say as part of their contractual agreement with DJI, it explicitly states that DJI will handle all aftersales support. Well isn't that convenient. If they handle the aftersales, and do nothing then they get to keep your money without spending more on fixing anything. This is actually bordering on the line of a scam.

I tried to raise an official complaint, the management don't call you back, I even tried stating that I will stay on the line until I speak with a manager. You end up on hold indefinitely. They just hope you get bored and hang up. This must have happened 10 times in a row when I was calling. The advisor responsible for this is called Russ.

I absolutely regret buying a DJI Gimbal. I WISH I had gotten a Zhiyun Crane series instead. I will never buy another DJI product again.

Free repair outside of warranty

FPV Goggles V2 recieved some sun damage, totally my fault, and they still replaced the goggles for free, paid shipping for me and everything, despite the damage not being covered by warranty. Support chat was swift and super helpful.

Beware of this company

Beware of this company. They're V1 goggles are compatible with the Mavic 2.. They released the V2 goggles which are not compatible. There is very little info to inform consumers of this issue before purchasing. (search online you'll see what I mean). Returning the product within the 14 days of the long distance selling directive (UK) is far from straight forward. I've never heard of a company forcing you to send multiple photos of a non-compatible product to receive a refund. (Photos provided to Dji). I am contacting trading standards to draw attention to they're practices and to warn other prospective customers l..

IF I COULD GIVE A ZERO STAR REVIEW!!! I MOST CERTAINLY WOULD!!! 100%!!!

YET AGAIN IVE BEEN TOTALLY AND UTTERLY LET DOWN BY THIS MARKET DOMINATING COMPANY!!!

AFTER THE “APPARENT” 3rd OR 4th REPAIR, IVE LOST COUNT NOW TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH!!! MY MINI HAS COME BACK IN THE EXACT SAME USELESS STATE IT WAS IN BEFORE I SENT IT IN FOR ANOTHER “SO CALLED” REPAIR!!!

AFTER TRYING TO FLEECE ME FOR ALMOST 100€ FOR “ALLEGED” WATER DAMAGE!!! THE REPAIR INVOICE HAD NO MENTION OF WATER DAMAGE AND SO I GOT AN APOLOGY FOR A SO CALLED MISTAKE OF “ALLEGED” WATER DAMAGE AND SO THE REPAIR PROCESS WOULD BE FREE OF CHARGE UNDER WARRANTY!!! (ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS) YOU REALLY DO NEED TO GET THE DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS TO GET THEIR STORIES STRAIGHT FIRST BEFORE THE LIE AND PUT THAT ON THE INVOICE AND NOT THE REAL FAULT!!! (THAT REALLY WAS A PRETTY BIG MISTAKE TO MAKE IF YOU ARE TRYING TO FLEECE SOMEONE NO)!!!

I ALSO GOT AN EMAIL TELLING ME THAT IT HAD BEEN REPAIRED “APPARENTLY” AND WAS AWAITING A TEST FLIGHT BEFORE IT WAS RETURNED TO ME!!!

WHAT AN ABSOLUTE LOAD OF HORSE S**T!!!

I HAD TO PAIR THE CONTROLLER TO THE UNIT WHEN IT ARRIVED SO IT MOST DEFINITELY HAD NOT BEEN TEST FLOWN AT ALL HAD IT YOU COMPLETE AND UTTER BUNCH OF INCOMPETENT BULL S**TERS!!! OR WAS IT UNPAIRED BEFORE YOU RETURN IT TO ME!!! YEAH RIGHTO FFS!!! YOU REALLY DO NEED TO BE JUST A TAD MORE SMARTER THAN THAT IF YOU ARE TRYING TO CON SOMEONE!!! OR IS IT YOU JUST DONT CARE!?!

AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE FOR A MARKET DOMINATING COMPANY!!!

SHAME ON YOU DJI!!!

TO WHO IT MAY CONCERN!!!

TO WHO IT MAY CONCERN!!!

IM SORRY BUT IT IS CLEAR AS DAYLIGHT THAT THE UNIT HASN'T SUSTAINED ANY "LIQUID DAMAGE" WHICH YOU ARE TRYING TO CHARGE ME OVER 90 EUROS FOR BUT THE "CONTROLLER MAIN BOARD HEAT SINK IS DEFECTIVE" THE FAULT IS CLEARLY STATED ON THE INVOICE!!!

IT DOESN'T EVEN SAY ON THE INVOICE WHAT THE CHARGE IS FOR!!! IT JUST SAYS "REPAIR SERVICE FEE" NO EXPLANATION OF THE FAULT!!! NOT LIKE THE REPAIR NEEDED TO BE CARRIED OUT ON THE CONTROLLER!!! IT STATES THE FAULT AS THE "MAIN BOARD HEAT SINK" WHICH IS FAULTY!!! THE INVOICE STATES THAT THIS REPAIR IS FREE OF CHARGE!!!

THE REPAIR NEEDED TO BE CARRIED OUT SHOULD BE CARRIED OUT UNDER WARRANTY!!! THE DATE THE CASE WAS OPENED IS WITHIN 12 MONTHS WHICH MAKES THE WARRANTY STILL VALID!!!

SO AFTER ALL THE RELEVANT INFORMATION ON THE INVOICE, YOU ARE TRYING TO CHARGE ME OVER 90 EUROS FOR REPAIRS THAT ARE NOT SPECIFIED WHICH THE INVOICE STATES!!!

SINCERELY...Mr Ringsell...

Regarding the DJI return policy and…

Regarding the DJI return policy and Buyers' Remorse.
Purchased the OSMO pocket with accessories and with the Covid restrictions did not have the opportunity to actually go out try it out within the pathetic 14 day DJI return period.
The product is not user friendly and now find myself stuck with a $512 camera that I can't use. After many attempts to reach out and blah, blah, blah, blah blah...sorry this, sorry that, its against company policy DJI would not authorize the return, even though it was new and still in the box. What about customer satisfaction. Absolutely Nothing! Don't waste your time and money and end up with Buyers Remorse...

Be aware: Products purchased from the DJI web site are shipped from China.
"Customers need to pay for any return shipping to the designated service center (including cross-border and international shipping costs, if applicable) unless the refund is due to performance faults."

Read all about the return, refund, replacement DJI policy... open a new page and type in DJI After Sales Service.

Its no wonder the DJI website does not post any reviews of there product.

Thank you

Absolutely appalling customer services. Avoid like the plague!

If I could give this company a -10 rating I would! I bought a drone online from them and it was handled by DPD in the UK. DPD then promptly lost the package or more likely it has been stolen. I contacted DJI and asked them to ask for an investigation with DPD. They continually tell me the case has been escalated (presumably downwards) as DPD ahve heard nothing from them. ONLY DJI can ask for it to be investigated and for some reason unknown to anyone they are refusing to do this. Hence the only way I can try and get my £1900 back from them is via my credit card company. I wouldn't trust DJI to do anything right for it's customers - so do yourself a favour and buy another make and steer well clear of DJI.

Very bad customer support.

Very bad customer service, its pointless to speak to them, either online or via email. Firstly I have recieved a faulty controller with my brand new drone, trying to resolve it and proving my point was a nightmare. Then It crashed in a very unclear sittuation, Care Refresh replacment is a totally different drone. It drifts, looses connection, takes ages to calibrate IMU and goes into ATTI despite having plenty of satelites. When I send it again to be fixed, they apparently replaced GPS unit. Nothing changed. Still flys like pig and image badly drifts. Shame on you DJI!

AT LAST ITS OVER. I'M FREE!

You can see my previous reviews at the DJI thread, but at last I've given up. I've paid the DJI Care payment I had after 6 months of a (cue swear word) drone and DJI's total complete (cue swear word) excuses, let alone appalling assessments, to get a new drone and controller and I'm going to to sell it. I'm so completely disgusted with DJI I'd rather not fly. I would feel ashamed and owned if after all this (cue swear word), I would have to fly their drones.

As I can't afford a proper drone, and the consumer market really doesn't have anything better, I'm happy to offer my services as a pilot or camera operator for the bigger shoots. Also happy to volunteer for Marine Reacue or Surf Lifesavers, if they want me.

I'm exhausted with this DJI nightmare. Tired of Cas and her geofencing (cue swear word) for why it was losing transmission. Tired of Jenny and her short sighted (cue swear word) with handling the eventual accident I had. Tired of Dora and her (cue swear word) saying they checked the flight records and isn't find any connection loss errors and auto-RTHs as a consequence, even though the dromeisless than 500m away in open territory. They said it's geofencing and fly somewhere else, in an area where others fly without problems.

And really tired of the appalling assessment of the DJI of whats wrong with the drone. So stupid. Beyond stupid. The gimbal isn't tacking properly but they aid they recalibrated it and it's fine. I know I did that and more before I sent it and even before the accident and calibration didn't do (cue swear word).

I really hate this company. It's really easy to see the fake reviews vs the ones where people are as appalled as I am at their total denial. I really don't know how some Chinese people live with themselves. They are Asian trailer trash. Even with the support they got from international investments, they learned nothing about quality and integrity. They only worship money. I design a different currency where one has the chance to worship ones creative self and that of others, but that's another story.

Anyway, they may have won the battle, but they will lose the war. I paided my ransom to be free. Not long now, and all this crap will be over.

You can see my video legacy on Youtube at 'swoondrones'. That's me. Hope you like it. I'm not doing it any more.

Adieu, DJI.

DJI DO NOT CARE.. truly appalling !

I bought both mavic platinum flymore combo (£1499) and DJI refresh (insurance against accidental damage- £140).

First of all what DJI aren't telling people is that they are firstly a sales team, and in no way a customer service or support team 2nd.. This is cleverly disguised with their apparent offer of online support.. do not be fooled folks.. Its a sales team 100% of the time.

I'd now like to address a fundamental loophole / design flaw in their drones, which works to their advantage in making more money from their customers. Firstly the mavic (despite bold claims ) will not fly very well at all in anything other than a light wind (and even then, a wind warning will appear). I tried a flight one day to my horror , when upon taking the drone to 50 metres it got caught in a draft (and seriously this is how I'd at worst, describe it) . The drone just drifted away and out of view, despite applying return to home.. and even sport mode at full throttle. Eventually it lost connection and landed on 13% battery in a field out of view.. and was never recovered. The motors failed to tackle the environment it found itself in. What most people on planet earth know is that aside from maybe in a desert, wind can be undetectable , and almost impossible to avoid completely at altitude. Ask any pilot.

Heres the loophole. The controller conveniently has built into it various safety features and warning messages (such as
'High wind fly with caution') . However , in the uk ive never had a single day without these messages appearing. As i say, ive felt a light wind (at worst) every time. No one would be silly enough to fly something so expensive thinking it may never return . Most days are never without a gentle breeze in most countries I know. So , whilst you may think DJI have filled this drone with a fail safe flying system, these safety messages are actually hard to keep clear of, and are what DJI then use as evidence to void your warranty and not insure your item! Not only this, but if the drone ever does become lost , or unflyable in any way (including all fly aways) . All their motor data is secretly used AGAINST YOU, aimed to bamboozle you that actually , nothing is ever attributed to them as "their fault" or "their responsibility" as a manufaturer. For example how irresponsible is it to advertise 4km range bearing in mind what I'm outlining? Despite this, and endless customer service emails back and forth from even the most disgruntled customers, they are ruthlessly dis interested in anything other than charging nearly full price for a replacement product! This , despite having paid for insurance, means YOU are simply NOT COVERED and being lied to !!!!!

The progress of every flight gets recorded and uploaded to their support team , which is then used to disprove your insurance claim, ultimately clearing them of any responsibility for any loss or damage.

DJi is a ruthless organisation run by profiteeting con men . Dont get me wrong , The concept and design of the drone is very technologically advanced , but everything else that follows, they've completely dis regarded in favour of making a profit. DJI simply have switched off to everything a good reputable business requires in its organisation. The company is being pedelled by some serious con artists . They truly are the worst organisation I've ever has the mis fortune of buying from . NEVER EVER expect to be covered by them , and dont even waste your money with dji care. Buy with caution, and fly with even more , because youll never see your drone again if its lost (yes , no matter how good a pilot you think you are, please remember what you've read here) .. you can definately expect NO genuine compensation, compassion, care or support from DJI.
