Wonderful tour in Northern Greece. Great varied itinerary with a great combination of the regions historical sites, culinary offerings, scenery and wildlife lead by a very knowledgable and passionate guide.

Wild Frontiers put together a thoughtful itinerary for us, which included hiking 7 stages of the Pekoe Trail, cultural visits to Hindu temples, Catholic churches and Buddhist stupas, ferries to the islands in Tamil country near Jaffna, train rides, food markets and cookery - finishing up at a luxury hotel on the beach near Galle. The wildlife was the highlight for us - seeing a leopard at dawn, a sloth bear rubbing his back against a tree and 120 different birds over our stay (3.5 weeks). The range of accommodation was excellent.

Fascinating country explored in a small group of 12 with an amazing guide, Nilufar. Details about life eg arranged marriages, divorce, education, and health care made the experience much richer. The homestay in the mountains was particularly relaxing and enjoyable with a walk, and having a local Takjic group encouraging everyone to dance to their music. Local people were so welcoming. Felt safe.

We had an absolutely amazing time in South East Asia. Wild Frontiers planned a 5 week trip that included Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. We had a rich agenda nearly every day filled with all of the "must sees" as well as deep cultural experiences with the local people. We cannot say enough how well we were taken care of by our guides, drivers and country managers as well as our travel agent back in the office. In addition, the hotels that were chosen were mainly boutique establishments that celebrated the local culture with design, decor, and food. Everyone was EXTREMELY accommodating. We could not recommend Wild Frontiers more highly if you want to get a true custom cultural experience while enjoying yourself at beautiful accommodations.

My second trip with Wild Frontiers was to Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan - "Cities of the Silk Road".
With Ildar as our group Leader and then a different guide for Turkmenistan we were in great hands the whole time with these kind and knowledgeable men.
We saw a great deal in the 2 week trip including Samarkand and all its impressive buildings, and Turkmenistan and its slightly long winded border crossing process, onto the very strange and empty of people Ashgabat and of course the Darvaza Gas Crater.
I cannot recommend this trip enough to anyone considering doing it. Since returning last week I have booked another trip for next year with Wild Frontiers.

Had a great walking tour of Southern Albania. Beautiful country and walking in the southern mountains amongst the wild flowers was unforgettable. Our guide was equally fabulous leading the way on the trails and ordering the most amazing meals in the towns and cities we visited. Don't miss the chance to see Butrint.

We had a wonderful time seeing sites across a wide expanse of country and the transport for these was comfortable with friendly and competent drivers. Our tour guide, Bek, was patient, knowledgeable and friendly. Uzbekistan is full of colour and we were able to experience that and to understand the history and the events that brought the country to where it is. The buildings themselves were as stunning as the photos show and the small group enabled us to make the most of a wonderful experience. Wild Frontiers were prompt and clear with instructions and responses leading up to the trip engendering confidence in the process. I thoroughly recommend this company to anyone wanting to travel with ease and trust.

The description of the trip to Uzbekistan was very helpful and honest. We had a wonderful experience with our guide Nilufar. She was knowledgeable, organised, kind and funny. We had a group of 11 which worked very well for us socially and we had a lot of fun. Uzbekistan itself was welcoming, memorable, beautiful and thought provoking. My experience of the culture, history and people that we met along the way is something that will live with me and make me smile long into the future.

We did an individual Georgia trip with an amazing guide Tamar who showed us various parts of this fabulous country from the high Caucas mountains to Tbilisi as well as various religous and historical sites. We greatly enjoyed all aspects of the trip, loved the local food and really appreciated the trip program that fitted our needs perfectly. A huge thank you!

"Sri Lanka: Hidden Treasures of the Sacred Island” with Wild Frontiers
Sri Lanka offers many exceptional sites of cultural, historical, and religious interest, as well as fascinating landscape, flora and fauna.
This active, engaging tour provided a comprehensive Sri Lankan experience accompanied by a very knowledgeable and accommodating leader, Dammika, his helpful assistant, and a safe driver.
We visited amazing temples and fortresses, saw ancient ruins and stupas, explored rice fields and tea plantations, visited a village of drum-makers, and more. Every day we enjoyed local food -- several times in private homes -- sometimes with a cooking lesson.
Some challenging nature hikes and safaris, added to the variety of activities on this tour.
Transportation was mostly by bus, but we had an opportunity to bike and to take local tuk-tuks.
The highlights for me were: meeting and spending time with one of the oldest tribes in the world, the Vedda people, learning about and seeing ancient irrigation engineering, and seeing a sloth bear and water monitor lizard up close.
I highly recommend this tour with Wild Frontiers, Unforgettable!

Fabulous ‘Slow boat to Aswan’ A real in depth trip starting in Cairo then to Luxor visiting the major sites & more besides. Leisurely sail up the Nile to Aswan stopping enroute to see village life as well as ancient Egyptian monuments and a real highlight an overnight stay at Abu Simbel. Great hotels in the right places each with their own ‘history/features and enjoying local food. Superb local Egyptologist Hanan as our guide. Well done & thank you Wild Frontiers great experience from booking and throughout

This truly was a trip of a lifetime (so good I need to do more!). A fabulous and imaginative itinerary exposed us to amazing variety and diversity of landscape, animals and people – from bustling town to the fabulous crater and the sweeping plains. We ticked off the big 5 and saw a huge variety of beautiful animals and birds – many up close and personal! Visits to local tribes, a coffee plantation and Africa’s largest art gallery added yet more value to the experience.
The whole trip was perfectly paced – ‘organised with wiggle room’. We never felt rushed and equally never bored. Highly knowledgeable guides, fabulous accommodations, wonderful food, great service – all in excellent company (the perfect group size).
Tanzania truly is a wonderful country. Wild Frontiers did it, and us, extremely proud.

Our Tanzania trip was an experience that far exceeded any expectations. The sheer scale of the landscape and numbers and variety of wildlife on the ground, on the water and in the air was incredible. It was our first time seeing Cheetahs up close in the wild and a large pride of lions giving a display of their interactions with each other. This was interspersed with local cultural visits such as the Hadzabe tribe and Masai which were truly exceptional. All these experiences and our stress free enjoyment were made possible by the knowledge and planning of Wild Frontiers. The local guides were simply brilliant in every aspect. Meeting new friends during the trip was a real pleasure and an added bonus. We cant recommend Wild Frontiers enough.

Just had a wonderful trip to Egypt. Everything was beautifully organised and the hotels were excellent. I feel we saw all the wonders previously experienced only on TV or in books in just 8 days. The tombs, temples and local sights were so interesting, made all the more so by our enthusiastic and knowledgeable Egyptologist guide. He was also fun and helpful. Our group was small and my fellow travellers very nice and easygoing.

Jim at Wild Frontiers put together an amazing and diverse custom/private trip for us to Singapore, Malaysia and Borneo. The entire trip was five weeks. Every detail was taken care of from transfers/flights, accommodations, activities, experiences along with recommendations for meals and free time. We couldn’t be more satisfied. Jim took the time to work with us to make sure our itinerary met our goals and desires.

I thoroughly enjoyed our small group tour to Uzbekistan - something I have dreamed about. Starting with our superb highly knowledgeable and approachable guide, a well balanced program of cultural experiences, historical sites and culinary feasts, this trip was exceptional - I didn't want it to end. We also had ample time to explore ourselves and discover the magic of the silk road Wild Frontiers provides excellent customer service which is an additional benefit. ( suggest arriving a day or 2 prior to explore Tashkent - especially the underground and get acclimated)
