Contacted them 6 days ago and asked for…

Contacted them 6 days ago and asked for a letter about Power of attorney. 6 day later no letter and I phoned them and asked for a call back. No call back. Definitely won't use them for anything. Yesterday, I called Glasgow office and told, Every one is on lunch till 2pm.
Phoned after 2pm and got answer machine.
Phoned again and left my details for someone to call me, but no call. Just now, 7 days after I contacted them. They phoned me and said the post was awful and I would get their correspondence next week. This morning I phoned another lawyer and just before her phone call I got the post from them :same day but had a first class stamp.

This firm's Aberdeen office has been…

This firm's Aberdeen office has been handling the estate of a family member for over 9 years. I am a beneficiary and was unhappy with the level of fees charged and the way the firm handled matters. I made complaints about service and conduct to the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission. The SLCC investigated the complaints about service and determined that the firm had charged fees for carrying out unnecessary work and had provided an inadequate professional service to their clients. The firm had to pay me compensation and refund fees charged for the unnecessary work. The Law Society of Scotland are currently investigating the complaints I made about the conduct of the firm and 4 of the solicitors who handled matters.
