It’s nearly 3 weeks now since my FUE…
It’s nearly 3 weeks now since my FUE hair transplant with Wimpole at the Manchester clinic. Everything has been perfect,I went for the initial consultation with KJ who was brilliant and gave me all the information I needed, told me how many grafts I would need which was 2200 to fill in my hairline and crown. KJ then sorted everything for me including the run up to the surgery and kept me informed all the way and even passed on info to book a hotel.
When I went to the Manchester clinic in the morning all the staff were brilliant and kept me informed all the way and made me feel comfortable, the surgery took about 5 to 6 hours and stopped for lunch which they provided and was lovely. The surgery was pain free apart from the initial injections which wasn’t too bad at all. After the surgery they gave me all the information I needed to take care of my transplant and gave me a bag to take home with shampoo etc and what to do for the next few weeks.
KJ was in touch every day after surgery checking how things were and asking for photos so he can see it was all healing ok. Over all it’s been a great experience and I would recommend the Wimpole clinic Manchester to anyone.
Fantastic team at Wimpole
KJ and the team were amazing, A+++ team here in Manchester clinic. I had 1400 follicles transplaned at thinned crown to fill it in. KJ answered all of my questions (to put my concerns at ease) about the transplant process and explained what to expect. Everything went smoothly, and the aftercare support from KJ has been fantastic, thank you. I am doing PRP also and that been excellent, not too painful, only a mild sting, so I recommend doing a course of PRP sessions too.
KJ and Dr Band /so good!
I had my hair transplant in Manchester with Kj and Dr Band and honestly couldn’t be happier with the experience. Kj was amazing — really good communication from start to finish, constantly checking up on me, super friendly, and explained everything clearly so I felt completely comfortable. The aftercare has been just as impressive, with regular check-ins and support which really reassured me. Dr Band was extremely professional and made me feel confident I was in safe hands. I just can’t wait to see the final results. Highly recommend!
So pleased with my new hair
Great experience from start to finish, I was very nervous about getting my hair transplant and held off for years.
KJ and the team put my mind at rest and treated me so well all the way through.
The aftercare was explained in great detail, I knew exactly what to expect, regular communication and any issues or concerns I had have been dealt with straight away.
Would highly recommend.

Quality service and expert surgery
staff were lovely, made me feel comfortable for the procedure. refreshments and beverages were there from the start, environment was nice and quiet for privacy. The nurses were very warm and welcoming; the surgeon Dr Band delivered what I asked for and made sure the surgery was as painless as possible as did the nurses. The clinic left a comprehensive after care plan for me broken down in a digestible pdf format with step by step instructions for the next two weeks and after. My clinician KJ, also kept in regular contact with myself to check on my recovery progress which made me feel as though I am getting the high quality, personal treatment that I paid for.
The team was very helpful and friendly
The team in the Manchester clinic was very helpful and friendly, I couldn’t recommend them enough. The process was smooth throughout and I felt looked after through the treatment. Special mention to KJ for checking up on me everyday and helping me with queries.
Great experience!
KJ and the whole team at the Manchester…
KJ and the whole team at the Manchester clinic made the whole experience very positive and comfortable. KJ responded quickly during the aftercare.
6 month post transplant
Writing
6-Month Hair Transplant Review – The Wimpole, Birmingham
I’m now six months on from my hair transplant with The Wimpole Clinic in Birmingham, and I wanted to share an honest update for anyone considering the procedure.
Overall, I’m really pleased with both the results so far and the level of aftercare I’ve received. From the initial consultation through to surgery day and the months that followed, the process felt well-organised, professional, and reassuring. The team were knowledgeable and took time to explain what to expect at each stage, which helped manage expectations early on.
The aftercare in particular has stood out. I’ve had regular check-ins, clear guidance on washing, recovery, and growth timelines, and quick responses whenever I had questions. At the six-month mark I’m seeing solid growth coming through, with the transplanted area starting to thicken and blend naturally with my existing hair. I know full results take closer to 12 months, but the progress so far has been very encouraging.
The clinic staff have been friendly and supportive throughout, and I’ve always felt looked after rather than just “processed” as a patient. Recovery was smoother than I expected, and the aftercare instructions were straightforward to follow.
If you’re thinking about a hair transplant and want a clinic that provides strong aftercare and clear communication, I’d definitely recommend them based on my experience so far. I’m looking forward to seeing how things continue to develop over the next few months, but at six months in, I’m very happy with my decision.
Manchester Clinic - KJ - delighted with results
I went for a hair transplant arranged by KJ at the Manchester Clinic In October 2025. The service was really professional and I am absolutely delighted with the results. There were clear instructions on what to do and what not to do before and after the transplant. KJ has been on hand via whatsapp and checks up with me regularly to see the progress and always available for any questions I’ve had. Couldn’t have had a better experience.
Wimpole is fantastic!
I couldn’t recommend Wimpole clinic enough! I received my consultation in Manchester with KJ, who has been extremely supportive and helpful. From the consultation up to after I have had my surgery. The support and aftercare I have received from KJ has been 10/10. Overall very happy with my experience and I recommend to go for it if you are on the fence about it!
Before & After 9 Months Results
Like many people, I read countless reviews before my procedure — but most of them focused on the experience on the day rather than the long-term results. So this is my honest review nine months later, focusing on the outcome.
I was 27 when I decided to have a hair transplant. I’d been losing my hair for around eight years, mainly around my hairline and crown. It hit me hard. I work in the football industry and used to be a footballer, and when I was playing, my appearance really mattered to me. I loved my hair. Over time, though, it started thinning badly. I believe it’s genetic — my dad was losing his hair and my grandmother’s hair had become very thin too.
In football there’s always banter, and although it was meant as a joke, my hair was the thing people picked on. Even when you try to laugh it off, it still affects your confidence. Eventually I reached a point where I said to myself: enough is enough — I’m going to do something about this.
I booked a free consultation at Wimpole Clinic, not really knowing what to expect. I was incredibly nervous. During the consultation, I was introduced to Dr Moussa. He examined my hair, explained what I would need, and even drew on a proposed hairline so I could visualise the result. I was given a quote for my hairline and crown which felt fair — not cheap, but a price that reflected quality and professionalism.
I left feeling slightly overwhelmed by the number of grafts required, but also genuinely excited at the thought of having my hairline back. Motivated and ready for change, I booked my procedure for 14th May.
Before the surgery, I was given clear preparation instructions — including arranging transport home. I also suffer from scalp acne, so they provided treatment beforehand to manage that.
On the day of the transplant, 2,500 grafts were planned. Dr Moussa reassured me that his team would look after me — and he was absolutely right. The team were exceptional. One team member in particular, Billy, stood out. She was knowledgeable, experienced, kind, and genuinely cared about getting the best possible result. In fact, she felt I needed more grafts to achieve the best outcome, and they increased the total to 2,800 because, as she put it, “this needs to be done properly.”
After around eight hours, the procedure was complete. But they made it clear that this was only half the work — the other 50% was down to me. I had to follow strict aftercare instructions: spraying the area with saline every 30 minutes, sleeping upright with a neck pillow for several weeks, and carefully following the washing routine.
Whenever I had questions, Billy was only ever a call or message away. Because of my scalp acne, I experienced some ingrown hairs during recovery, but Dr Moussa and the team provided antibiotics and cream when needed. They also reassured me that I could come into the clinic anytime. There were occasions when I did, and even if they were in the middle of procedures, they would take time to check on me and help.
As for the results — I began noticing real growth around the six-month mark. They explained from the start that results vary from person to person and recommended taking finasteride, minoxidil, and collagen to support growth. I’ve been consistent with all three, and I still take them now.
At nine months, I couldn’t be happier. The results truly speak for themselves. The hairline looks completely natural — not harsh or straight like some of the transplants you see abroad. Most importantly, it doesn’t look like I’ve had a transplant at all.
I honestly can’t recommend Wimpole Clinic, Dr Moussa, Billy, and the team highly enough. They’ve not just restored my hair — they’ve restored my confidence.
3000 Graft Transplant
My experience at the Wimpole Clinic has been amazing from start to finish. From the initial consultation through to the procedure itself, everything was incredibly smooth and communication was excellent throughout.
My patient advisor, KJ, was especially helpful. He had recently had his own transplant, which really reassured me and gave me a lot of confidence going into the process.
On the day of the transplant, I was looked after by Dr Meena Zareie MD, Pooya, and Brandon, who were all brilliant. They were patient, professional, and somehow managed to deal with me not being able to sit still and talking nonstop! The procedure itself was completely painless, apart from very minor discomfort when the local anaesthetic was administered.
I was a bit nervous about the healing process after reading some horror stories online about swelling and bleeding, but mine has been absolutely perfect, no swelling, no bleeding, and it looked great just a couple of days post-procedure.
I first looked into hair transplants about five years ago but bottled it. If I had known how easy, painless, and smooth the whole experience would be, I would have done it straight away. If you’re thinking about it, just do it.
I couldn’t recommend Wimpole Clinic enough 10/10 experience.
Excellent experience.
From the first phone call interaction with Mihir through to 7 months post surgery the whole team at the Birmingham clinic have been absolutely brilliant. Mihir has been really informative and helpful throughout and Dr Thomas and the team on surgery day were faultless. I was made to feel relaxed knowing I was in safe hands. I’ve just had my 6 month post surgery check up and the results have exceeded everything I wanted from the procedure with still more to come. I would absolutely recommend Wimpole Birmingham clinic if you are considering a hair transplant. 10/10.
Thanks again to all the team.

I am now 3 months post hair transplant…
I am now 3 months post hair transplant and I couldn’t be happier with my results. From start to finish Marie made me feel very relaxed and at ease answering any questions or concerns I had. On the day Dr Moussa and his team were amazing and the attention to detail was fantastic. Could not recommend more highly.
Poor treatment planning and disappointing aftercare
I chose Wimpole Clinic because of their reputation and professionalism, and the procedure itself was carried out professionally.
However, I’m very disappointed with the overall planning and aftercare.
I paid over £5,000 for my first transplant, but only the frontal area was treated, despite thinning in the back and crown already being visible. At no point was I offered the option to address this more fully at the time of the procedure by extracting more hair and paying more then. Instead, I was told to “come back in 12 months” on the day of my procedure. It all felt very rushed.
Twelve months later, I’ve now been quoted a further £5,000 for a “top-up” procedure to address this, which feels like something that could and should have been properly planned for from the start.
I was also promised review appointments that did not take place which I had to chase for, and more recently my attempts to raise concerns and request a clinical review have gone unanswered for weeks.
While the clinic appears professional, my experience has been that long-term planning and communication have fallen well short of expectations.
My experience with Wimpole Hair Clinic…
My experience with Wimpole Hair Clinic has been excellent from start to finish. The entire team was incredibly caring, attentive, and genuinely committed to making me feel comfortable throughout the process. Every interaction felt personal and professional, and I always felt listened to and well looked after. Their supportive approach and attention to detail made the whole journey smooth and reassuring
Totally unprofessional, a shambles from start to finish
I am extremely disappointed with the service at Wimpole Hair Transplant Clinic in Manchester, and I feel it’s important to share this experience as a warning to others.
I previously had my own transplant at the London clinic and was happy enough to recommend Wimpole to my brother. For this reason, we booked a consultation in Manchester, specifically requesting that both the consultant and the surgeon be present to discuss the procedure and hairline. We were assured this was fine and given a 9:30am appointment.
We travelled from Liverpool in rush hour (a 1.5-hour journey), arrived 5 minutes early, and checked in on time.
After waiting 25 minutes past our appointment, a man finally appeared who was supposedly the consultant. He was dressed extremely casually – trainers, a visible gold chain, and a red Ferrari cap – which was a stark contrast to the professional consultant I dealt with in London. First impressions were very poor.
He muttered “sorry for the wait” with no explanation, then spoke at us for about five minutes, very quickly, leaning back in his chair, and generally presenting himself in a very unprofessional manner. He also contradicted medical information previously given to me by my London surgeon regarding Finasteride, and so I asked him to clarify or check this with the Manchester surgeon, he then left the room I think in an attempt to prompt the surgeon to commence the meeting.
Another 15 minutes passed with no update or explanation. During this time, a large sign that had been taped to the wall actually fell down onto the desk in front of us — which, quite honestly, felt like a perfect representation of how chaotic and poorly managed this appointment was.
At this point, my brother was understandably losing confidence in the clinic. I went to find out what was happening, and only then were we told that the surgeon was still with a patient who had arrived late for an appointment before ours – meaning we were being penalised despite arriving on time.
I explained how unacceptable this was, as we were now nearly an hour into what should have been our consultation.
During this conversation, the female surgeon partially opened the door and asked, in a confrontational tone, what the problem was. There was no acknowledgement of the delay or the inconvenience we had experienced. When I explained, she interrupted me and said it wasn’t her fault. I asked if it was mine, and she replied, “Well, it isn’t mine.”
At that point, we decided to leave. The surgeon shut the door and walked off aggressively. As we left, we expressed how shocked we were at this behaviour. She turned back to confront me and asked me to repeat myself.
Finally, as we were leaving the building, the consultant ran after us, shouting that he would “give us a discount.” It was a total shambles from start to finish.
This entire experience was disrespectful, disorganised, and completely unprofessional. For a clinic dealing with a serious medical and cosmetic procedure, this level of service is unacceptable. Even more concerning that the clearly unsettled surgeon was operating on a patient that morning- I’d hate to be the one sat in that chair waiting for my surgeon to apply a precise hairline after another of her confrontations.
Based on this visit, I would not recommend the Manchester branch of Wimpole to anyone.
Best place to have a hair transplant
I'd been thinking of having a hair transplant for some time and after looking online at various clinics I wasn't sure which one to go for. I'm a postman and was delivering one day to the delivery I've been on for 24 years and saw a customer who I hadn't seen for a few months, last time I saw him his hair was receding but now he had hair. He said he'd had a hair transplant at the Wimpole Clinic.
I booked a consultation that very afternoon.
I was a bit nervous as I'm terrible when it comes to pain but was reassured that this shouldn't be an issue.
They were right my procedure took about 7 hours and I slept through half of it as I was so relaxed.
Everybody at the clinic is so friendly and welcoming. The aftercare has been excellent as well. My patient advisor Elise has been very helpful in guiding me through the immediate post op information and responds to all and every question.
If you are thinking of having a hair transplant I recommend the Wimpole Clinic as I cannot fault it in any way.
I am 5 months post hair transplant
I am 5 months post hair transplant. I wanted to wait until now to give the hair time to grow. Really impressed with my results so far. Husnain was brilliant at my initial consultation who gave me great advice. The day of the prcocedure was fantastic, staff were very friendly and put me at ease from the get go. Dr Moussa was really helpful and top class with operation. Overall a pleasant experience and would highly recommend.
Over 8 months into my journey ....
I'm over 8 months into my journey and I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Wimpole so far. Stefano has been fantastic at every step. Honest, knowledgeable, and was great at managing expectations. Even before the procedure, I was able to meet the surgeon and speak at length with both Dr Barry and Stefano about the design and what could realistically be achieved with the available grafts.
On the day, everything felt extremely professional. The whole team were brilliant and I actually found the procedure surprisingly relaxing. A big plus was being able to be back home in the afternoon after it was over.
Aftercare has also been excellent, messages were responded to within minutes, even at weekends. Based on my experience, I’d happily recommend the practice.
