professional scam artists

I have had mediocre internet service with Kinetic by Windstream in SC since November 22, 2022. They offered a 3 free month promotion. Starting October they would email and say there is an outage or it should be working fine. I could barely connect to my work software. January 19th comes and my internet is still in and out and I’ve been given credits by the rare customer service agents that were kind and that I could understand, for my terrible service. On January 19th I called in because the internet just stopped working. I couldn’t sign into the app, sign in on their website and the company also couldn’t be reached by phone, there was a busy signal. I finally got through to someone who offered 30 credits to my account and RESTORED my service telling me the balance would be waived. He confirmed that I have the ACP credit as well which would lower my bill to $30. The next day they turned my service off and when I called in the rep was very distracted with her child in the background and also didn’t understand why my account had so many changes but NO notes. She then finally transferred me to Ann Knopp the escalations manager who was Nasty!!! She barely let me speak and said she was going to pull all the calls I’m referring to and call me back.

Well I couldn’t work obviously with no internet so I left to deliver groceries and she left a voicemail saying to call her back to talk about what I need to do to her my service restored.

Ann apparently added a credit to my account , didn’t apologize for what I had endured but still didn’t restore my service. I called back and spoke to the kindest gentleman ever named Maxwell. He apologized to me for what was happening gave me a credit to my account for the trouble and restored my service.

I woke up the next morning Feb 23rd and my service is off AGAIN and I know Ann at extension 20867212 had something to do with it. I lost my job and Ann is single handedly responsible. Thanks to her I loss my job, had to sell my home and now I have to coparent my 4 and 6 year old with my abuser. She stole my independence, sanity and safety and I want her held responsible for her actions. Now windstream has the audacity to send me a bill for the $100 she emailed me and told me would be waived. I have proof of everything and they are now threatening to affect my credit. I will be pursuing legal action.

I wish I could put negative stars on…

I wish I could put negative stars on their crappy payment customer service, or lack there of. You can tell their customer service is outsourced by the thick accents making it hard to understand what they are even saying. On top of that, the customer service rep gets mouthy and loud if you ask too many questions. If this company wasn't the only gig internet provider in my area I would not be using them. I recommend using any other company over them if you have the option.

4 months with kinetic an I'm ready to…

4 months with kinetic an I'm ready to move on. They was supposed take out monthly all set up with salesman finally got a letter it was being canceled called them paid it he set me up to take out monthly again .
Now got bill for late fee when they screwed up an they raised the price all ready . Plus wifi drops once a week an never get close to 200mbps they just ignore you or lie 😒

Zero customer service, poor connectivity

Well, the service is slow to nonexistent. I wanted to have a tech move my service to a guesthouse and possibly get it working. I have been trying to contact customer service for weeks. After a great deal of frustration, their automated system would not let me talk to a person. So I am trying to just cancel the service entirely, but they require a phone call but you still can't reach a human. So I am still paying for the service. I am going to just quit paying the bill and hopefully they will cut it off.

My biggest problem with your company is…

My biggest problem with your company is you don't keep your promises the $200 gift card I was supposed to get after my first bill was paid never showed and i keep getting the runaround when I call about it I've had three or four different excuses as to what I needed to do or when it would come and none of them had followed through I chose you mainly because of the promo card and it would give me a chance also to see if everybody was right well they're right about the card I've never gotten one yet I don't have that much trouble with the internet service.. which I can change I guess I don't like to be with the company I can't trust your explanations have never held up. I could have used terribly and today I got another run around to go to the main website and talk to y'all because none of them had the information wherever I went which was the same website this is wrong and very unprofessional and I'm seeing others haven't got their cards either why are you doing this this just makes you people look

Windstream? What a sad joke!

They have scr--ed me for years, because there isn't another affordable option out here in the rural area I'm in.
Never get the speeds promised. Spend your time watching the screen buffer or constantly resetting the router. Tie a string between two cans, you will be more satisfied.

The best ever poor service

They don't respond.Theyndont provide the service.Raised the request for disconnecting my services.till now I haven't received the email.They have charged me extra $20 even after paying the monthly bill.

Sh***y company can't access the app to…

Sh**ty company can't access the app to pay my bill it's been that way for months and they haven't fixed it. The customer service is horrible and they send you back and forth from person to person instead of fixing the problem so you can actually pay the bill. I have called and gotten nowhere and I can't pay my bill and on top of that the connection and service is beyond Terrible. I am literally paying for s**t and not getting the help I need .

Broken Promises And Poor Customer Service

Customer Service is a joke. I spent well over an hour trying to get a simple question answered, and they kept passing me on to another person who passed me on...Their files have my WRONG phone number, and they will not change it to my correct one. Service people were very rude and impatient, and one of them told me that she was too busy to handle my matter. Oh, and it is now May 25 and I have not received the $200 VISA free gift card that was promised me when I signed up. People, this company is one big SCAM. Beware of their promises and their service!!

Poor customer service in billing.…

pretty poor service when they charge you $6.95 to make a payment, when THEIR system had my account screwed up. then they explain to me every account has a phone number associated with it. ADUH its not my phone number!!
Their automated system would not accept the payment, so I had to talk to someone WHO don't speak good english.

We had Windstream internet and phone…

We had Windstream internet and phone service for about 1 year. Our internet speed averaged about 9 mbps down to 2 mbps which made streaming impossible to watch. Phone landline had a crackle in it which made conversations difficult. After terminating service, they had the nerve to charge us for an extra month because we went over 1 day and "they don't amortize", and at a higher price than usual. Don't use these guys.

They advertise 1 gig connections but…

They advertise 1 gig connections but apparently my area isn't important enough to give such speeds to, it's 2021, almost 2022, but you wouldn't know it due to the fact that they give you a DSL router.

I'm going to stick with them for the time being since they're literally the only option, which actually makes sense why we're not that important, scummy business practice to charge so much and give so little knowing we have no other choice, despite actual 1 gig connections existing in other places for even less monthly cost, but once Starlink expands by early 2022 to our area in Florida, I'm swapping immediately, I've already put in my down payment.

Absolute garbage

Absolute garbage company ran out of another country who uses sub-contractors (who have stolen from my property, broken my sewer line, and cut the line while they were trenching it). Unreliable wifi for over 3 months. Don't get the speeds we pay for.

Windstream Internet & Phone Service

Co. unable to provide continuous internet service. Although all equipment are provided and installed by co., they take a hands off approach for wiring in the home. All repairs are not free, even if it is the co.'s equipment. One needs to buy monthly insurance to get free repairs. This is the only co. I know who charges for Voicemail. Co. is reluctant on giving credit for their non-performance and very tight on the credit amounts they offer.
Here is a phone company who verifies the caller's tel no. after the first ring, before you get a rep. whose first question is what's your phone no.? Makes little sense.

Spectrum offers 100 MPS !!!

I was told by the installer "I was lucky to get 10 MPS on my internet because the service only went downhill as you went further down my road." If that wasn't bad enough, I have yet to get as high as 10 MPS since signing with Windstream There is often service interruptions, and as soon as I can I will sign with another provider.

this company charges you late fees and…

this company charges you late fees and extra charges on your internet service. i call countless time to make my on demand compatible with there dsl modem. 3 times they never call me back.finally i had enough and cancel there service and went to huges net. they fix my ondemand the same day the install it at my home. were i live windstream is a monopoly they control the phones and internet. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL
