Money on hold

My son transfered 15000 euro to my account on 30 March 2026 and they are still bending. If you hold our money when we need it them I do not need to use your service. The hold should not exceed few hours to check. But to hold it for more than a week then this not justified.

I have already verified the destination…

This is my final notice regarding Ticket #6319817, which was opened on April 3rd. I have been waiting for 13 days for a resolution that you are intentionally delaying. I will no longer tolerate generic responses regarding your platform’s internal incompetence while you withhold several thousand euros of my capital.
The situation has reached a point of legal liability for Wirex based on the following:
• Gross Technical Inconsistency: You are blocking my assets by demanding a "wallet verification" that your own system is incapable of performing. Your provider explicitly states that the blockchain used is not supported for such verification.
• Negligence: You previously authorized and executed transactions to this same address without issues. Denying access now to my funds, based on a verification step that you cannot technically provide, is a direct violation of my rights as a consumer.
• Admission of Fault: Your own internal systems have already flagged this as a "TECHNICAL ISSUE". Despite this admission, you continue to withhold my funds unlawfully.
I am not requesting a status update; I am demanding the immediate manual override of this block and the full release of my funds.
If my account is not fully restored within 12 hours, I will initiate the following actions without further notice:
1. A formal complaint filed with the European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net) for unfair and deceptive commercial practices.
2. Escalation to European Financial Regulatory Authorities regarding the unlawful seizure and withholding of private assets (amounting to several thousand euros) due to platform negligence.
3. Publication of all evidence of this technical loop and your refusal to resolve it on every major financial consumer forum and social media platform.
Do not reply with automated templates; either restore my access immediately or face the legal and regulatory consequences.

Update: I finally managed to withdraw my funds after multiple requests. Support via tickets never replied, but I eventually got it sorted thanks to being persistent on the live chat. Glad to have my money back, but the communication and withdrawal restrictions needs to improve. (Personally, I will no longer have large amounts of funds on the platform).

Account temporarily restricted for weeks — no resolution.

My account has been temporarily restricted for several weeks now. I have contacted support multiple times, but I keep receiving the same response: "Our team is working on it."

No explanation, no timeline, and no request for additional documents.

This situation is extremely frustrating and unprofessional, especially since my funds are currently inaccessible.

I would expect at least:

A clear explanation of the restriction
What is required from me to resolve the issue
A realistic timeline for resolution

I hope this review helps escalate the issue and leads to a prompt resolution.

BIGGEST SCAM APP!! DONT USE THIS BS

BIGGEST SCAM APP!!! I have had my account for 1 week. After 2 or 3 transactions my account got temporary blocked. After multiple emails. Not even 1 reply. Please guys, dont use this app. Never. It will F you up. I have over 900k followers which i will also advice not to use ur app if you dont fix this issue within 2 days. Its about the email.

I have seen multiple people saying the same. Again 2 days before i make a video about your service and scam.

What a horrible experience

What a horrible experience! They asked me to change the residential address to get the IBAN and Card. After that when I changed the residential address and it was approved, they required fiscal code but didn't keep an option to enter it. When I look for the solution and contact support they permanently restricted and closed my account. There's no transparency and it's highly risk to put money with Wirex. Stay away from them!

Smooth

So far the app has been very good. Once through the prerequisite checks etc the UI/UX is logical, responsive and quick.
Best of all I don’t need to convert crypto to fiat to spend. It’s been a great hassle free experience!

Scammers

Scammers! They blocked and closed my account without any reason. And wouldn’t let me withdraw my remaining funds funds. They are scammers and thieves.

SCAM SCAM SCAM
We opened business account with them, tried bank transfer (which was already buggy), Our Bank returned the money, but they ate it. Tried to contact support, provided proof, but nothing. Their support just keep saying : We are actively working on it, thats it, same thing repeats even after weeks and months. Give our $450 back you scammers.

Edit : After giving them warning of taking Legal Actions, they refunded it within hours. so i will keep this review as things that can be resolved in hours, they kept holding for months to scam.

Never paid out for a promotion

Never paid out for a promotion. Contacted support many times over months to be told that they are still looking into it. Clearly they have no intention of paying. Pretty sure I saw they made a loss in their most recent earnings report, so maybe they're about to go under. Would explain their refusal to pay out. Either that or they're just incompetent.

Once upon a time I thought Wirex was…

Once upon a time I thought Wirex was amazing, and I have recommended Wirex to many many people. I now regret ever talking about them, as they are now one of the largest disappointments of my life!
First of all, I now only have 460 euros left (thank god I don't have more here) and I don’t use the account at all, I only keep a few xrp and popcat. However, when I logged in for the first time in maybe half a year, I see that they have deducted 9.99 euros per month even though I have not asked for a paid plan - why would I have anything else but the free version?
Thats not all though - they are asking me for a shit load of documents like proof of funds - for å ridiculous amount of 460 euros - and its been in wirex for 4-5 years! How the hell am I supposed to show any document proving from where the money comes? Originally I sent it from my ordinary bank in Sweden when I sold a property about 4 years ago, but no bank let you find such transactions which are more than 2 years old 🤷‍♂️

Wirex is such a disapppointment and I send a warning to all - DO NOT EVER engage with Wirex - they suck more than anything Ive experienced in Regards of crypto solutions. And thats coming from a person who once thought Wirex was the best thing ever happening in the crypto space 🤨

I don't recommend you use Wirex

recent app update wiped my account

Updated the app, which completely wiped my business account, trying to resolve the case leading to nobody responding and seeing the ticket closed later when left unattended.
