Since wisper bought out easy net, the service is worse. There are more outages and nobody to call. With easy net, when there was an outage, they would send out an email telling about it and what they were doing. Easy net also had someone you could call about an outage. I pay for a higher speed service with wisper, but it is not any faster. Sometimes I feel it is worse than the slower speeds. A lot of buffering and down time since wisper took over. Not the best service, but not much alternatives where we live.

Updating as of 09/28/22-
Have lowered my rating by one star.
After multiple issues with speeds and realizing a discrepancy in billing, and after 3 weeks and some change of having to use my hotspot *once again* in order to do my job...
I am now paying $20 more per month to get the speeds I was originally told I would be getting, when the previous internet company I was with transitioned into Wisper. They are giving me a "legacy discount" so that I am not paying $45 more for the "new speed", but the point is...this is not a "change" as they keep calling it, but it is what I was told in the beginning I would be receiving, at the same price that I had been paying.
Also, while they are giving me a slight credit on my bill for those missing weeks of service, one of the techs even said they should be giving us a full month or even multiple months for the various issues we have faced--not to mention the fact that I have spent too many working hours and free time hours trying to resolve the situation, while also using up my hotspot data (and fyi, have had to be sure that I address the email to multiple people and departments, as it seems that there is a lack of cohesive communication between them).
So, are we happy to be spending MORE to get what we were told we would have to begin with? No.
Do I appreciate certain individuals' efforts within the company to help us? Absolutely!
But do I truly trust that this company will do right by us in the end? Not really, no. I hope they can change my mind over time. I had to fight for this much and send follow-up after follow-up. Some of the action received today was too little and late, and as I said, we are now paying more to get what we were supposed to have had from the beginning. We are certainly aware that this is not the only service available anymore.
Again, I appreciate the efforts of certain individuals, but as a company, I don't have a totally positive feeling about Wisper.
Here's hoping there are rarely ever issues with the actual internet service again.

Joined Taneynet and now bought out by Wisper. Have had good service with both companies. Had a outage over the weekend and got it fixed today. (Tuesday) Called Wisper over the weekend and got someone in Joplin. Explained the situation and they directed me in the right direction. Talked to the tech support in Forsyth, Mo and he was very helpful. Sent someone out and found out it was a bad router. All it takes is a little patience. These people are only human and are short staffed due to people not wanting to work. It's a good company so have patience and give them a chance to prove themselves

So far the service is good after taking over from Patriot Broadband. I think price is a little high, but I understand that it costs to put up towers and obtain rights. But it's not like I didn't pay some installation fees to have it installed. Also paying monthly fees if I have problems at my house. But overall a good service.

Just lost service in last month. They were coming 11/8 Monday to reevaluate if we can access via radio Frequency. Waiting to hear results. Now, trying to reach electric company to get permit to mount receiver. If not, back to dish.

Wisper is the new owner of a system plagued by reception issues and outages mainly caused by lightning strikes. Shortly after taking over this occurred followed by 4 or 5 days of storms! When we have service, all works great. But many customers have decided they need to blame Wisper for all the old issues? I do not understand why people now days have 0 patients? Like 7 days could result in the end of their businesses, livelihoods or life’s? If 7 days without internet could cause any of the claims I read in an update email, I would suggest a change for all of them. Most of our lives are pretty long when compared with 7 days? Maybe a few new hobbies or things to do lists would lesson the destruction the 7 days supposedly caused? The rudeness and claims I read testified to how screwed up our Country truly has become. The insults and accusations I read were horrible, one even claiming to sue because their email was used without consent in the group update notice? I have news for whoever wrote that one, email addresses are public knowledge. The moment it’s created and used once, it’s out there for anyone to use. Who doesn’t spend hours cleaning junk Mail from their inbox whenever they use their email! People need to give these people a chance. They have plans to improve the system we have had and who doesn’t look forward to improvement? I for one welcome Wisper as a new owner with open arms! When the service is up, it works great and delivers faster service than any other provider in the area has. I pray Wisper can be the owner that solves or improves the weather related issues we have had in the past! Welcome to the Taneyville area Wisper!

Whisper just acquired Taneynet, and it was always getting better. Then Patriot broadband got Taneynet, and I had established a good line of communication with the owner, and they started to notify customers through Email about outages and repairs. That’s what I asked for.
Then Whisper got Taneynet, and I’m part of that group, and we were given a few letters about the merger, billing change, ect, and that was fine. Then we had an outage. I called in, and got to a recording. NOT COOL!! I left a message, and I’m sure it wasn’t just me out, and we got NO note about an outage, or a repair, or how long it would be out. Again, NOT COOL!
Internet is a Utility! Just like water and electric, start performing like it!

Service was down for 14 days straight, they finally get our whole area up and running again, and the signal quality is even worse then before. 1.5mbps down when you pay $100 mo. for 25mbps. It's a god damn joke. Oh, by the way, we've been down for 1/2 a month... where is that credit on the bill? Oh, we don't get one. Gotcha. I'll be reporting this to the BBB. I'm cancelling and getting cell hot spot service rather then deal with this scam crap.

I can't say the service has improved since Easy Net became Wisper. We still have slow service and sometimes very off and on. What I really dislike is that former Easy Net customers do not have anyone to contact other than the office during business hours Monday thru Friday for outages. If our service is out on the weekend we have to wait until Monday to report it.

Very good internet also works good when there is 5 people using the internet all at once still runs fast even when so many people are on it.

Whisper has always taken care of any issues I’ve had. I can leave an email, and it is addressed promptly. I like the ability to use email when reporting issues.

Easynet and now Wisper has been great each time we have called and reported an outage or a slowness in internet. Living in a rural area (although only 3 miles from Sedalia), our internet options are limited, but we have not hesitated to recommend to others. We do not work from home, so cannot speak to that aspect, but our high school age kids have had no issues where homework is concerned.

Terrible service, terrible support. Wisper or former easynet just don't care. Complaining about internet being slow and going offline is a waste of time because they simply don't care and probably will hang up on you and call you rude. Whether you have internet or not depends on the weather apparently in 2021. Wind is blowing, showers or sun is shining too bright your connection will be lost and as I said above Complaining won't do a thing. Some evenings you can't even watch 10 minute YouTube video without it lagging or stopping but according to easynet or wisper you have the service and it is working so basically deal with it and pay your monthly bill. Keep giving empty promises since last year that my neighborhood is next for the fiber to be installed but of course no fiber, I call that incompetent and unprofessional. They know there are no alternatives in my area so they can do whatever. Would switch to anything new in the area had I had a chance. Horrible overall.

We live in Hughesville, and we pay WAYYYY too much for the horrible connections we have here.
My son who lives in Dallas comes to visit and has to stay with my parents in Kansas City so he can work while he’s visiting because the connection here is not strong enough for him.
Unfortunately it’s a monopoly and there really is no other place to go for Internet so we are at the mercy of what is available. Until upgrades happen they should lower their prices significantly. If you’re truly concerned about customer service please take these reviews seriously and into consideration.

I live in a rural area. Daily, my internet goes offline. I started using your router because I was told it could be monitored better. It obviously has not helped. I keep being told upgrades are coming to our area when I call support. I will be looking for another internet provider if this does not happen soon.

Had connection issues. Called the office, first person I tried talking to just hung up on me (I'll assume it was an accident), the second person I talked to was great. Everything got figured out and fixed the next day. (Had to get new router, hence the delay). When setting up the new router, both the lady I talked to when getting the router was great, so was the other when setting it up.

My internet goes out all the time and they have came and raised the dish hoping that would help but it still goes out often

Since Wisper has taken over from my former internet provider which they bought out I have seen a slow degradation of service. I pay for high speed internet but suffer buffering a lot. When it storms hard I lose all connectivity at a time when I need it the most.
All in all I consider this just average service.
