My HSA card is a debit card but you…

My HSA card is a debit card but you won't accept automatic payments from it. But you will take payment from my checking acct debit card. THis should make no difference to you but it does to me. There is a reason I have money in my HSA account - to use for medical and dental expenses.

Hi Stephen, we're really sorry for the frustration this has caused, and I completely understand where you’re coming from. It makes total sense that you’d want to use your HSA funds for medical and dental expenses, especially when that’s exactly what they’re intended for.

At this time, we’re not able to accept HSA or FSA cards as a form of payment. Because Cherry is a financial institution and not a medical provider, these types of cards aren’t supported under HSA/FSA guidelines on our platform.

That said, you can still use a standard debit card to make your payment and then submit your receipt to your HSA or FSA provider for possible reimbursement. We provide receipts for each monthly payment, which you can access anytime by logging into consumer.withcherry.com under Payment Plans. Please note that the down payment receipt is not included in the monthly statements. Approval for reimbursement would be determined by your HSA/FSA provider.
