Might be cheap but not worth it

Might be cheap but not worth it, bought a premium server of 5gb ram for me and my friend (2 player). Keep getting terminated (freeze, not stop cause the world to corrupt) when it reach maximum ram. Honestly get a better host than this

please note that other host DOESNT DO THIS ONCE HIT CAP LIMIT.

now you're accusing other host server that forcibly kill the server once it hit the cap,

let me tell you they don't, it just make the server throw and error of being behind the tick

rather than simply freeze your server, make it unplayable until you kill it (your hosting company) what is the difference with the host that you're trying to accuse? both of it will kill the server thus make the world corrupt

I guess the one that stop the server doing the great job since my world keeps getting corrupted for not stopping the server properly in your hosting panel.

Not to mention one time my friend and I host a vanilla server, your staff doesn't even know why the hell bungeeguard jar keeps getting deleted and never got issue solve, after one staff to another staff.

Your staff doesn't even know what to do and you want me to rely on your worst support team?

Seriously, blindly assume that I ran 1.18 on 5gb ram?
Even I know it ridiculous.

to clear things up, I use your 5gb plan on 1.12.2 forge server with not more than 50 mods and not more than 2 PLAYERS.

and the vanilla server that I host with my friend has 12gb of ram which is the maximum vanilla can handle or it will cause garbage collector issue and have only 40 plugins at that time

second of all, as a CEO, you sure a dumb person since you said:

why the hell does it have anything to do with deleted jar? Is that the best excuse you can come up with? your panel just delete the bungeeguard plugin jar everytime the server restart and you put the blame on ram? Not to mention the package was 12gb ram multiserver with purpur server software version 1.17.1, who tf want to use the unstable 1.18 on production server

stop acting like your host is great, admit it. it's the worst one I ever use. Even shockbyte is 5X better

Hello JOE MAMA,

It is normal for a server to stop working when it runs out of ram. You need to upgrade your plan if you are running out of ram.

If your computer ran out of ram it would crash too...

EDIT: Other hosts lie about how much ram you have and will forcibly kill your server when this happens often causing dataloss. If you would have contacted support you would know that you can change what happens when a server runs out of ram and you would know that you can allow the server to run and just be restarted when ram runs out.

I am sorry that you do not understand how computer programs work, everything requires ram and if you run out they are going to stop working. I am sorry for you :(

I really don't know why you are so stuck up but we don't may the server unplayable, you are trying to run a 1.18 server with tons of plugins on 5GB of ram, this simply wont work. We don't freeze the server it is crashing because it literally cannot run anymore. Servers usually don't freeze when they are out of ram so this sounds like a configuration issue as well. Your screenshots are just showing you being quite rude to our support staff and them really not wanting to help you because of that...

I am sorry but this conversation is over. When things run out of ram they crash. We provide 1GB of ram protection so that your server is prevented from crashing, if your server was completely freezing this means it was needing well over 5GB of ram to run properly.

Garbage

Cheap, and you get what you pay for…
Alot of their support took forever over 10 hours for a basic hello reply, and they didn't help even buying the additional help. They would simply send you links that we're free to find anyways on their website.

Landon was the only person who has helped, twice! While everyone else seemed to try to find a quick copy/paste solution to move you along.

Horrible service, constant Dwayne issues and lag, I switched hosts to ApexHosting and issues stopped.

We are sorry that support has taken longer than usual and we are sorry that multiple staff members dropped copy/paste responses, we deal with upwards of 200 support requests daily and solve 99% of them within 15minutes to 1 hour. We are sorry that your support took longer than usual. Please note that it is also Christmas time and multiple of our support members are on vacation in other states or countries, this causes support times to be slower and forces working staff to offer less in-depth responses.

From amazing to absolute crap

Witherhosting use too be an amazing hosting provider but as time went on they became slowly one of the worst hosting providers i have ever used. It seemed everytime they did some type of migration something would mess up wether it be data loss or your server striaght up not working.

There were also many suspicious problems I and multiple others have encountered one of them being people randomly being invoiced twice which in my opinion should not happen in a stable software such as hostbill (there billing panel at the time of writing this) but it went on from more than just getting double invoiced such as a service getting suspended for no reason at all.

Those issues could usually be fixed by opening up a live chat if you have time to wait hours or sometimes even days for a response.

When we do migrations, its usually to fix issues that are with the old nodes etc, which we consider to be important. The chance of data loss during a transfer is very small. Are you sure this was the case?

Regarding something like multiple invoices, you should always open a livechat if you have concerns about them. They could be an issue on our end, and if it is, then we would look into it. We have been doing migrations for people on premium hardware (SIN/AU) to the correct prices, so its possible you were included in this? Always check your emails and the discord, as we post updates there.

We apologise for the slow support times, we are hiring new staff to help cope with the amounts of chats we get.

witherhosting used to be a good host

witherhosting used to be a good host, but they slowly declined in quality as time went on. Before they migrated I had no issues at all. Support takes up to days on their livechat. Who expects to wait days for a response for a chat? they've said they wont go to a ticket system because of cost or "there is no proper ticket system at hostbill and is very messy"

update: wh is still providing slow support but seemingly half as good as it could be.
