In late 2024 my wife and I decided to attend the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. This was a “bucket list” adventure that we had discussed for decades. We had good friends that wanted to join us, so the immediate task was to identify a Travel Agency that could help us map out a sensible itinerary that would allow us to see a number of events, with an emphasis on Alpine skiing/snow-boarding, as well as skating events (speed, figure, and hockey).

After doing research on the internet, we decided to talk with World Of Discoveries (WOD). We knew that the company had experience with FIFA World Cup events, and we knew that WOD had also handled clients who were at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, and we could also tell that WOD had consistently received rave reviews.

We began a dialogue with Lina and Veronika, and they were great in laying out an itinerary that made sense. We took care of booking our flights as we were using points, and our friends were based in a different city. WOD took care of everything else – Lodging, ground transportation and transfers (shuttles and trains), and tickets to eleven different events. As the itinerary became more refined, WOD provided a formal proposal and payment plan, which was very helpful.

As we had questions, we would transmit them to Lina and Veronika, and always got a timely, helpful response. From about 30 days out from the start of our trip, information really began to flow (hotels, transfer information and train tickets, event ticket app and digital tickets, etc.) Knowing the name and location of our hotels was very helpful in allowing us to preview and make dinner reservations, etc.

Over the course of our 12-day trip we saw 11 events over 7 days. Our base of operations for the first 6 days was St. Moritz. A WOD representative met us at the train station and promptly took us to the hotel. On the evening of our arrival, we received contact from Mike who advised that he was going to be our driver for the first couple of days. Upon meeting Mike, we learned that he was the husband of WOD’s founder and was usually involved in handling logistics. He was fine with being pressed into service to drive us, which was great. Mike was not only a genuinely nice guy (and a highly capable driver!), but he was also a font of information about the event venues. Everyone that we encountered from WOD was terrific – Ian, Nika, Ross, etc. Just really thoughtful people who were there to be helpful. Our initial events were in either Livigno or Bormio, Italy. Then we transitioned to Milan for Hockey, Speed Skating, and Men’s figure skating – our seats in every venue were outstanding (Hockey – 20 rows back and right at center ice, Speed Skating – 40 – 50 feet from the starting block, Figure Skating – 15-20 rows from the ice).

The bottom line is this: World Of Discoveries did an amazing job of putting together a terrific travel itinerary, getting us excellent accommodations in both St. Moritz and Milan, and in getting us to and from the Alpine events (in Milan we relied on Ubers or Taxis, with WOD handling getting us an early AM transfer to the airport). I don’t think we could have asked for or anticipated a better travel experience. It’s great to know that there are still companies out there who are dedicated to getting things right and delivering premium service in all phases of the process – planning, booking, and being on the ground and ready to assist at the games themselves.

I won’t hesitate to highly recommend World Of Discoveries – they did an absolutely amazing job and we are truly grateful that we selected them as our travel planner. We hope to go to another Olympics (France in 2030!!), and look forward to working with WOD again!

We typically book our own trips but given how late we decided to go to the Milan/Cortina Olympics had no choice to look at a group like this. Having gone through the experience, I would not do it any other way in the future. They had premium tickets, hassle free, we just told them what we wanted to see and when and they organized all of the logistics, hotels, tickets and transportation. All went without one ounce of problems and everytime we had a question (most of it related to me not reading their instructions ;) they were very responsive and easy to deal with. I would highly recommend them for this type of experience.

We were very excited to go to Italy for the 2026 Winter Olympics but quickly realized that planning for the best experience and figuring out the logistics were going to be a real challenge. When we found out about World of Discoveries’ services, it was a *perfect* fit. In the planning phases, WofDi gave us lots of fantastic information, suggested excellent activities and options, and offered lots of flexibility as we were shaping our itinerary. By the time we left we had a wonderful trip all ready to go. And then on-the-ground in Italy the WofDi team was AMAZING—excellent communication, fantastic team members (who were incredible people with great stories to share), and every accommodation and activity was PERFECT: hotel selection, facilitating our trips to Olympic events, other wonderful tourist activities. It was an INCREDIBLE experience and I loved always knowing that the World of Discovery team was at-the-ready to answer any questions or concerns that came up—even though none did because they did such a truly fabulous job in advance! Loved every minute. Can’t wait to plan another trip with World of Discoveries!

So this was our first trip to the Olympics AND to Europe. World of Discoveries was AMAZING. They were very flexible and created an intinerary just for us (with the events we wanted to see balanced with a couple of touristy things). The communication was excellent. The hotels were in the perfect location. Our drivers were amazing (those snowy roads on the Alps were steep). We had an AMAZING vacation. Would highly recommend! We will definitely use them again!

First time user of World of Discoveries and it was outstanding! We attended the Feb 2026 winter Olympics in Milan and they made everything seamless! We made a 2 week vacation out of it and they planned everything from tours, private transfers, Olympic tickets, hotel reservations, everything. Not gonna lie, was hesitant because I had never heard of them but they were awesome! They booked the right hotels that were close to the sites we wanted, close to train stations and their private transfers....the cars were spotless and the drivers excellent.

They will contact via whatsapp each day with tour info, tickets, train info etc so you are always prepared.

100% recommend them!

WOD did a wonderful job arranging our Olympic trip in Milan. We had constant communication and they addressed every question and arranged it all for us. It was a great experience and they planned activities for the free time that were well done and thoughtful. Will certainly use them again for our next Olympic trip!

We had a great experience with World of Discoveries!! Setting up our plan, was easy, quick responses to emails, hotel was fantastic, driver to and from airport was great and on time. We had fantastic tickets to 2 men’s semi final hockey and tickets to Gold medal, right behind the goal. We were captured on national TV too!!! The figure skating exhibition was fantastic too. World of Discoveries put together an amazing trip to Italy for us for the Olympics, including a short stay in Venice followed by a few days in both Cortina and Milan for the Olympics events themselves. WofDi arranged for all hotels and transfers, and some event tickets (we bought some directly from Olympics organizers). The trip went very smoothly, without any issues, and they were always available via WhatsApp chat if we had questions or if problems had arisen (not an issue for us). We had a great time, and would definitely use them again. Highly recommended!

We had an absolutely phenomenal experience with World of Discoveries. They organized a two-week Winter Olympics trip for my wife and me, and it truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience from start to finish.

What impressed us most was the precision and execution. Every single detail was accounted for — transportation, schedules, tickets, restaurant reservations, and daily logistics. Every driver knew exactly where to be and when, which removed all stress and allowed us to fully enjoy the experience.

Even more impressive was how they handled changes. With winter travel and Olympic events, things inevitably shift due to weather and scheduling adjustments, but their team stayed completely on top of everything. They proactively made accommodations and adjustments without us ever needing to worry.

This is white-glove, concierge-level service at its best. We felt taken care of every step of the way.

Our Italy trip to Rome > Naples > Milan (incl Olympic events) > Venice > Rome was very well organized with itineraries & tickets supplied throughout. Quite impressed with WoD service & definitely recommend !!

We used World of Discoveries to plan and execute our trip to the Milan/Cortina Olympics and were very happy with the results. We would not hesitate to use them again and are already thinking about 2030 France. As an example of how good they were; One day I was not properly prepared for the snow storm that blew in and was concerned that my water resistant jacket would not be enough. The owner Mike, literally gave me the jacket off his back to make sure I had a great experience. Of course I gave it back later :).

Highly recommend booking through World of Discoveries! They were incredibly organized and professional from start to finish. Our trip to Milan was a seamless success. Everything, from our hotel taxi pickup to our accommodations, the Duomo Cathedral tour, and our Olympic Games tickets were all arranged perfectly. We had a fabulous, stress-free trip and so much fun. Truly a wonderful memorable experience!

My daughter and I took a trip to Italy for the Winter Olympics through a package arranged by World of Discoveries. First time using WofDi. The trip turned out to be one of the best we’ve done, really ever. The hotels they chose, the car transfers they arranged, the event tickets they purchased…all met or exceeded expectations. There were a couple tours they arranged for us that weren’t as well led as we might have hoped,but admittedly that was not the focus of our trip…so it didn’t really take away from the experience.

Overall, things went smoothly and though they largely prefer to communicate only by email and WhatsApp, they were generally responsive when we needed them.

We will definitely will look to use them again.

Our trip to Zurich, Zermatt St. Moritz, Milan and Rome was incredible. Well organized transportation and tickets to 3 Olympic events. We so enjoyed the hotels we stayed in as well as the locations which were close to great shops,parks and restaurants. Any hitches were quickly addressed. Transportation on trains and cars was superb. Riding the train thru the Alps was a bucket list thing.

I happened across this company and was hesitant as I had not found much success in using a travel company before. They proved to be essential in planning our trip to the Milan Olympics and Venice Carnival. Venice was an afterthought when I asked for suggestions on another Italian city we could add on and wow I am so thankful they suggested it, it was a dream come true. We were working with the high end of a midrange budget and they nailed it all around. Both hotels were in central/desirable, walkable locations, high end fittings, full service hotels and we were unexpectedly upgraded at both hotels, we had a full water view of the grand canal that was spectacular! They organized our train travel from Venice to Milan and Milan back home to Paris. They set up all the transfers and tours in each city and our ball tickets in Venice. They referred a costume Atelier for our ball outfits and let me say…our costumes were amazing! They sent the tickets and finalized itinerary a couple weeks before with the instructions we needed for accessing our tickets to Hockey and Figure skating, our seats were in excellent locations, we were beyond pleased. They also set up a WhatsApp chat so we could have access to them before and during the trip. Each day prior they would attach the tickets on the chat and itinerary for the next day and any pictures like where to meet the tour or the driver. They kept us organized with no effort on our part! We could never have pulled this trip off the way they did. We are so thankful and will use them again and of course refer them to anyone who will listen. They are true dream makers! From booking the trip and figuring out options to getting our Olympic event tix to the pick up and drop off at our hotel. And the hotel was great.
We will definitely book with them again for an event like this !
