This has been the worst experience I’ve had with a food delivery app. Wolt charged my card the moment I placed an order, only to cancel it 15 minutes later saying they couldn’t deliver. The most... See more

Wolt Sweden, the best food delivery service
I order food from various services in various countries about 250 times a year, so I have quite a bit of experience with online delivery. Of all of the services I have used worldwide, Wolt Sweden is by far the best, actually there's no comparison.
I judge food delivery companies on five criteria: price, number of restaurants, speed of delivery, accuracy of delivery estimate, and customer service.
Uber Eats: OK prices, good number of restaurants, good speed of delivery, terrible accuracy of delivery estimate (ALWAYS much longer than they say) and Uber's customer service is just astonishíngly bad. In particular, you can't call Uber Eats, and they don't reply to messages until a day or so later. So if your courier never arrives, or is wandering around aimlessly lost, there's no solution. And when they finally reply, the most they will do is refund the delivery fee, even if the delivery took 2 hours and the food was cold and wet when it arrived. Uber Eats is terrible.
Bolt Food: really good prices, less restaurants (not enough), bad speed of delivery (not enough drivers), bad accuracy of delivery estimate (always takes longer), good customer service (much better than Uber).
Wolt is just perfect: their estimates are pretty accurate, they have a lot of restaurants, reasonable prices, and their customer service is INSANELY good. If you message them, they will reply within minutes, they are extremely polite and will ALWAYS make it right! I had a situation recently where the driver went to the wrong restaurant (right chain, wrong location) and just sat there, waiting for the food (which would never come). Messaged Bolt: "Emma" replied instantly with an apology, the driver started moving right away to the right location, they refunded me way more than the delivery fee and Emma apologized about 5 times. That's customer service. Everyone makes mistakes, the key is to make it right: Wolt does that, every time.
Highly recommended
Really bad customer service
Anyone ordering with Wolt can't be sure they get what they order. If you order a Margarita for instance, and the restaurant puts Bearnaise sauce and Salt Cucumber on the pizza with the argument of that it's a new routine, then Wolt won't refund you if the restaurant don't want to refund you.
This happened to me and Emilia and Oliver in customer service really didn't want to answer my questions directly because how absurd the direct answer would be. This is a shame.
Horrible and disappointing service
Horrible and disappointing service
It was Chinese New Year, and we wanted to celebrate, so we ordered lots of food over 30$ and everything looked fine. But finally we are left with other person's small portion food, totally with destroyed horrible mood, and we even didn't receive our 5 fortune cookies. It was a huge mistake of the delivery guy!!! And the problem is not that we got the money back and +3$ extra from Wolt for this mistake, but the spoiled mood and hungry stomachs, cause we won't eat somebody's else food, and the other person got our order for like 7$ (instead of 30$). So I am really mad and pissed off!!!! This whole can't be replaced with money, you can't buy happiness of a person with money. And the restaurant was closed by the time they delivered to us, so we couldn't order again with money Wolt paid us back. And by the way this wasn't the only time the delivery service was bad, the first time I ordered through Wolt, my order was delivered 1 hour later than the estimated delivery time and that time I already thought I won't order there again. Even while leaving in China for 5 years we never experinced something like this, and they have much worse traffic and really a lot of people comparing to Budapest. In a such small city (compared to a Chinese city) the delivery should be 100% smooth and you should pay attention on who you hire to work as a courier. China is a good example for you, Wolt, maybe you can try to learn from them. Actually Wolt puts just a small code on the plastic bag for the order, instead of the normal paper with the delivery information about the order so it can be understandable why the delivery guy made a mistake. I can't imagine if a Chinese family living in Budapest ordered today as well and you would make a mistake in their order and leave them with one portion of Chinese food instead of their original order on their main festival. Thank you so much Wolt for spoiling our mood on Chinese New Year. I hope the New Chinese Year, 2021 year of Ox will begin without your "finest" service. And this was the last time I ordered through Wolt, here our ordering history is finished.
I ordered Thai food and the food came…
I ordered Thai food and the food came 15 min late and the bag with the food was a mess everywhere. The delivery guy didn’t speak English or Swedish. I start to complain and they dissed me. I asked for the money back 380kr but they refused because their motto is you cannot cancel the delivery.
They are using theirs couriers as slaves and kids are working in the customer service.
They don't take responsibility when you…
They don't take responsibility when you don't get your food. But they will do all to keep your money!
USE WOLT IF YOU WANT TO PAY FOR COLD FOOD
Used this app as my main online food service since moving to Sweden multiple times my food has arrived cold , yesterday I ordered 400kr worth of food , they sent a cyclist to me which took almost twenty minutes to deliver and the food was cold . They will not refund as they don't guarantee warm food apparently . Their terms and conditions online say our consumer rights won't be breached but then tell me they don't guarantee quality ??? By offering their app they are offering a service which I believe is covered under consumer rights protection which I believe they are in breach in as technically when you pay through their app you are entering into a contract. Their service is unacceptable and I believe my consumer protection rights have been infringed upon . I am waiting to hear back from their head of support meanwhile I am submitting a complaint to konsumverket here in Sweden . For Swedes I would recommend FOODORA the few times I have used them I have had 0 problems
