If you're looking for good yarns (but not the ultra-fashionable ones) Woodland Yarns is a good website to visit. Their service is usually fast and accurate, Joanne is friendly and very helpful ... and they don't charge P&P if you spend over £10 with them - which, of course, is very easy for any knitter to do! I have recommended them to others without hesitation.

you have a good clear website, which shows you exactly what you are buying with shade details and a picture of the wool all in one place. Everything I have ordered has always arrived the next day. Really fast response to orders and to queries. The yarn was well packaged, so it arrived in good condition, but used very little packaging (strong plastic bag) which I think I can recycle locally.
My only slight disappointment is that the second lot of yarn I ordered wasn't the colour/shade I had expected from the image onscreen. That's something I'll be more wary of in future.

I came across this website via my search engine and so had no knowledge about it or any preconceived ideas. I was looking for a particular type of wool and they were offering it at a really competive price. Not only that but it came with free postage! The communication with the company was excellent - they kept me informed on progress with my order - not that I had to wait long. I ordered it on the web over the weekend (from memory it was a Sunday evening) and couldn't believe it when the parcel arrived on the Tuesday. I am really impressed and will certainly be using them again.

The wool I ordered came the next day in very good condition. Unfortunately, it was a much brighter pink that I thought it would be, but I guess that's the problem with ordering unseen!

I enjoy this yarn as it is easy to knit with when you have arthritic hands such as mine.
