Placed an order on 5th December
Placed an order on 5th December, 48hr delivery. It's now 13 December, still says order being prepared. No communication from them as to why it is taking so long to prepare and ship. The order was for a reasonable amount of money, so now I worry that not only will it not be received in time,but I might not receive at all!

I had the same experience as another customer with the delivery times. It was a gift and I paid for the 48-hour delivery to make sure they had it on their birthday, after waiting a couple of days a couple I hadn't received any tracking details so I emailed them to be informed I had to wait 7 days before the 48 hour delivery begins or pay more money to have the parcel posted the same day. I wouldn't have bothered only it was a present and it was already going to be a day late. Not clear when you check out about the 7 day waiting ......

What a lovely company! Wool Couture provide really easy to follow kits. My husband bought me a kit for my birthday and I'm now hooked (pardon the pun!). Really lovely customer service team (Ali) who will go out of her way to make sure all customers are happy. Wool Couture do genuinely care about their customers and the quality of their kits are amazing. Highly recommended :-)
Delayed dispatch
I have ordered twice online from this company and both times my order has sat there not being actioned. I have had to contact them both times asking for the goods to be sent.

Really helpful customer service - very prompt responses to my enquiry and I'm very happy with the outcome - my hopes weren't high about replacing a pattern I had purchased a year ago and managed to lose this week but they went over and above my expectations and now I can start knitting again :-)
Slow dispatch, but 5* customer service
I placed an order for a few kits in the recent sales. Although my order was placed on 27 November, I didn't receive any further emails or updates until 6 December when my order was shipped.
This was a little disappointing, but I wasn't in any rush as I'm making some baby gifts for my sister-in-law who isn't due until the end of January so at the end of the day not a massive deal. Would have been nice if it was clear that 'Tracked 48' as a shipping method on the checkout page didn't mean you would receive your order in 2 business days.
I was also missing the crochet hook in one of the kits I ordered. However, Ali was fantastic. She responded to me over the weekend and then my replacement hook was dispatched first thing on the Monday. Excellent customer service when things go wrong.
The quality of the materials and the instructions are great too. Can't fault the products. Would happily purchase again - just will plan far in advance to allow for the slow dispatch times!
Would give 5*s if not for the lack of information around dispatch times. It should be clearer on the website and/or would have preferred an update in the 9 days between placing my order and dispatch just so I knew what was going on.
Horrendous experience
Horrendous experience. Made an order with 48 hour tracked delivery. Advised, after 6 days late. The 48 hour tracked delivery was only available once shipped. Which could take up to 7 days.
Absolutely would not use this company again. Spaulding service.

I have recently started knitting and I am completely addicted to it. I have been using the incredible "Cheeky Chunky" merino yarn. Its so soft and perfect for making a chunky blanket or scarf. I have placed another two orders for another 12 rolls. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that its 4-7 days for dispatch of orders, unless you pay £9.99 for next day. I don't necessarily need next day (and don't want to pay £9.99), but I do feel like 4-7 days for dispatch is a little excessive. Having said that, perhaps the yarn is not held in stock, so requires time to prepare, or perhaps its a small team vs large volume of orders. If that were the case then it would be understandable. Regardless, this is a small "gripe" and given the superb quality of the product, not enough to put me off placing future orders. I guess you could even just blame my impatience to get my hands on the amazing yarn and begin my projects!
Extra wool!
I needed some extra wool to complete my rainbow blanket and I was helped enormously even though the colour I needed was out of stock on the website.

Fab customer service from wool couture! I had a bit of a weird request and they went above and beyond to accommodate me. Just goes to show if you don't ask, you don't get.
Can I also add how much I love the website and all the products. Website is really easy to use and I like the facility to add extras like hooks or needles etc to the kits if you haven't already got them, very flexible!

False advertising poor customer service …
This item was suppose to be a kit to complete item using items from box , but I recieved the box with no needles to knit the item with , I have no other needles and if I’d kept the item it would be more expense buying them, there was an option to have item with or without needle, which I I did not see during ordering , if this option is available it is not a kit , excellent quality kit but returning on principle

Terrible customer service!!!
I sent back wool in exchange for a refund which it says on the website will be given. I only received a refund for 5 balls of wool instead of the 8 i definitely sent back. Wool couture said they only received 5 which i questioned as i know i sent back all of the wool but they came back with many excuses in which they contradicted themselves. At one point saying the packaging wasn't damaged so basically telling me i was lying and just trying to steal wool, which i certainly was not. Then in another email, saying the 3 balls missing must have gotten lost in the post so there was nothing they could do. This makes no sense, was the package damaged or not? They then checked the parcel weight to show 8 balls had been sent to me, which i know because i checked my parcel weight that i sent back and it was the same, so this shows i really did send 8 back and i was told the package wasn't damaged once they received it so what's happened here? My last email was ignored so i still have no full refund, and no explanation. Something has gone wrong on their end and i would not feel comfortable ordering with them again.
-edit after reply: I did send 8 balls back, as I stated, the weight sent back was the same as when sent to me. So another comment to add would be instead of listening to customers, they just argue to keep your money. I would not steal anything, this is very rude of them to insinute.

Not remotely beginner friendly!
The “crochet for beginners” kit that I bought was far from beginner friendly — I assumed I’d be getting an entire kit ready to make a scarf (as advertised) but no, it was just four balls of wool, and a plastic needle — not even a crochet hook to get me started! On top of that, the instructions that were included weren’t beginner friendly at all, but promised a YouTube video for me to follow along with. There is no video for how to make a scarf and when I brought this up in a YouTube comment, it was just deleted without a reply.
If you want to spend £25 on four balls of wool and a sheet of paper with unclear instructions, then I recommend this company. If you want something a little more beginner friendly, steer clear!!

Customer service leaves a lot to be desired
At present I haven't received my order. Royal mail have been supposed to be delivering for 3 days but haven't as yet. I sent an email to chase with this Wool Couture and have received very abrupt and defensive emails replies telling me to chase and deal with it. I've spent £100 (to my now regret) and I just wanted a little courtesy, an apology and their attempts to chase the delivery. I won't be ordering again from then. It shows that no matter how nice the products look, if the service lets the company down, you don't want to deal with them again.
