Stayed here overnight, the room was amazing, the staff were great.. beautiful views… lovely food…. Unless you’re vegetarian. The dinner menu had two veggie options both of which I could not eat.

The veggie breakfast was probably the best I’ve eaten. With a bit of thought and more options the dinner menu could be just as good.

For meat eaters it’s probably heaven.

Went to the woolpack for my mums birthday and what a lovely time we had . The pub is a nice country pub very authentic and a really nice vibe. The food was amazing with good size portions , variety of food to choose from and the staff were very Friendly & helpful and knew the menu well. I will 100% be going back & would Recommend.

We booked a room online at this establishment on July 13, 2022 and paid in full. The reservation was for the night of July 23. Unfortunately, my partner was suddenly tested positive for Covid on July 22 at which point we thought it prudent and responsible to cancel our reservation. I went down with COVID myself two days later and was ill enough to need to stay in bed for 3 days. On recovering I made contact with the Woolpack and whilst acknowledging we had cancelled inside their normal cancellation period of 48hours, suggested we might reschedule our stay. This was declined, which might say something about the commercial acumen of the establishment, but more importantly we received an email quoting the following:-

"You were more than welcome to attend your booking as there were no government restrictions in place". This was followed by an interrogation along the lines of: "What did you do to avoid getting COVID? Did you wear a face mask when in public spaces or enclosed spaces and did you observe social distancing?"etc.

In other words, we were free to keep the booking in spite of our medical condition and it was our fault we contracted COVID!!!

We invite you to draw your own conclusions as to whether this venue is worth patronising.
