So far so great!

We started October 7. So far we have shipped 120 orders.

In the first week there were 8 shipments (out of 20) that went to the "Exception" status. I panicked thinking I had made a big mistake trying them. I emailed my account rep, he got back to me, refunded the cost of the labels, contacted Canada Post on our behalf, and the shipments were all delivered. Apparently it was a glitch on the CP side that was then sorted out.

Since then, we have increased our usage, and have shipped 120 orders as of today. We ship lightbulbs and our boxes can be over 4 feet long, and historically we would spend sometimes in excess of $40-50 shipping with eShipper (UPS, Purolator etc.) or Chit Chats, and we are now spending only $10.Our boxes are within the thresholds of dimension limitations, and it is amazing that when we would normally spend $45 to ship from Toronto to BC, the label is now $10!

There was a hiccup with the tracking linking correctly from the Woosh portal to the Canada Post site, but they temporarily linked the tracking to the Pitney Bowes site, until it was sorted out on the Canada Post side, and for the last few days, tracking connects to the CP site without issue. Tracking can also be seen on each order in the portal, each time the box is scanned.

I have been carefully checking each order, and all are making it to their destinations, either being delivered to the door (with or without photo - I even Google mapped the address to make sure the delivery photo matched the front door and all did - being extra anxious I needed to do this to make triple sure), or a notice card being left (common with Canada Post anyhow). Only 1 order was an 'exception' but this was due to a bad address on our customer's part. We have not been charged for the return yet either. Only 1 breakage out of 120 orders (shipping lightbulbs this is exceptional), and we have done a claim with Canada Post, but we know from experience this will take forever to sort out, as this is typical Canada Post attrition strategy.

We have even done a number of return labels, adding the customer address as a Sender Address, creating an order under it to ship back to our address, and this is also only $10. So far, 2 have arrived and waiting on 4 more.

Our experience is - so far so good (great even!), and if this keeps up it is a MASSIVE game changer for our business. Fingers crossed they do not go bust b/c it will be tough to purchase a $45 label after only paying $10.

Used Woosh for the first time

Used Woosh for the first time, sending package via express post to a town 1 hour north of where I live in Alberta. Canada Post accepted the package no problem. Tracking information showed unauthorized redirection. Package ended up in Toronto. A mysterious note appeared in my Woosh account saying my fee was reimbursed. That is useless, since if trying it again resulted in the same outcome they have the cash. It looks like a very sophisticated scam. Allowing some packages to be delivered provides a necessary aire of legitimacy. No resolution from the company. Customer service is via chat box. Beware.

I started Oct 1

I started Oct 1. I have shipped out about 40 packages. I have problems with 10% of them. 3 are lost and customer services ignores your emails. AI said start a ticket with Canada post directly so that is what we did after 4 emails over a week and no response from woosh. They also just put in their portal $2 charge to insure $100. This is a standard insurance that Canada Post already offers business customers. They are already getting insurance for free and charging us $2 to get it. Not sure how you would file a claim with them since they ghost you if you contact them about stuck packages. Absolutely do not send high value shipments with Woosh. It is Russian Roulette with packages and they only respond to your emails if it suites them. If your package is not moving they don’t want to talk to you about it. I likely will still buy labels, but I am very disappointed in this company. I will not be buying the volume of labels I intended too. I cant use them for high value shipments they are not reliable enough to do this. Beware it is not reliable like shipping with Canada Post directly. It is fine for low value shipments only.

Support disappears when you have an issue

Super low cost reseller for Canada Post labels, that would be perfect for e-commerce business owners except that as soon as there is an issue with a shipment, they ghost you.

Super responsive during the initial sign up (often answering emails within minutes), which gave a false sense of security that they would answer support channels in a timely fashion.

Real world results are quite different. Their labels don't show delivery estimates, or full tracking through the Canada Post site. Woosh's internal systems link to a pitneybowes tracking website (which still only has scans, and no delivery info).

I currently have 2 packages (out of ~25 sent so far) that were suddenly re-directed twice, and now no tracking updates for 11 days. Have been emailing and chatting woosh for 12 days, and they just don't answer at all. Of course it's the two most valuable shipments we've sent out via Woosh as well.

Had to log a lost package claim with CP but who knows if they'll help or not.

Overall the website works fairly well, but is a bit clunky if you're not shipping the same few boxes over and over again (we sell a large assortment of goods at various sizes/weights so no two orders are the same).

Wish they'd just sort out the support side, and it could be a great fit. But now I am left opting to ship the more valuable items via standard means to avoid potential headaches & losses.
