Negative corporate image
I now see any organization or company HR and recruiting org that forces Workday and Integrations in a horrible and negative light.
Insurance Industry and government or state entity the biggest culprit.
These implementations were handled horribly in Central Illinois.
A nightmare
I confirm all the other negative reviews, I don't understand how a website can be designed like that. It's a nightmare.
One of the absolute worst job app platforms…
This has to be one of the worst job application platforms I’ve ever used. I’ve ended up with over a thousand accounts no thanks to its refusal to let me use the same email across the board. Every time it always says I already have an account, but it won’t let me log in and instead forces me to reset my password all the time, or else it just locks my account over and over again.
Workday ironically makes you work for a day just to apply for a job
Workday is the most infuriating, awful and mind-numbingly dreadful piece of SaaS software ever created. In terms of making job applications easy and more efficient, it manages to do the polar opposite by making them laborious, horrible and needlessly time and energy sapping.
If I could banish it to Room 101, throw it into the burning fires of Hades or simply rip it to tiny little pieces and allow my dog to poop on it, I would.
It should be banned, made illegal or become socially unacceptable to even speak its name.
People will look back on it in years to come and think ‘damn, humans back then must’ve been really stupid’ and laugh at us in a kind of sad pitiful way.
Worst Experience of my life
I don't understand how Workday has become the number one platform for HR related process.
All big companies use it now, and mine is one of the biggest in the world. We had a simple, easy, functional platform... home-brewed of course.
It all changed. And I suppose it is for financial reason.
.... maybe its an appealing from an HR perspective. But all employees are end users... and it does not serves end users.
Now: a catastrophic UX/UI, were end user loose time to understand how this interface works.
It is stupid, and time consuming. I hope this company will go down and burn to the ground.
(don't get me wrong, Im just an employee, I sure I don't have the "whole picture" but man if everyone... I mean EVERYONE is complaining, we do have an issue)
People actually boast that they…
People actually boast that they implemented workday.
They have no shame. one of the worst systems I've used.
some of the worst on the market;

The only one that seems to make it reasonably good for candidates is workable.
Complete caricature of a company.

Nothing works, after 45 minutes trying to send a holiday request, I am told IT cant help. So apparently I need to quit the job to get holidays. WHAT A FUC4ING JOKE
Workday app completely useless
This app is a complete waste of time, every month or so you are unable to use it. The company who provide it should be shut down. I only gave it 1star because I couldn't give it no stars
Utter garbage.
This is the worst app in history. Ive not had a payslip in over a year and no one at management can get it working for me. Bring back paper payslips or just bloody send them in by email.
It is a joke for sending cv's for jobs…
It is a joke for sending cv's for jobs is just a joke. I have just stopped sending my cv to companies using this platform. Everytime entering manually same details again and again. Dear recruiters, please stop using it!!!!
I left a company using this application…
I left a company using this application for pay slips and other forms. I have tried to contact WorkDay to access my pay slips to prove to the company I left, that they didn't pay me for the hours I worked. I have left messages and tried to email using the email spoken on there answering machine. I have had no success, my last employer has frozen me out of the application which when they started using, we were told we could access our personal information at any time. This is now affecting my mental health to think they can get away with not paying me for work they have already agreed I completed.
As a UI/UX professional
As a UI/UX professional, I expected Workday to deliver a seamless experience. Instead, it’s been frustrating — slow load times, confusing navigation, and repeated login/password issues. Even basic tasks like submitting time or viewing pay slips feel unnecessarily complicated. Workday really needs to focus on fixing its core usability before adding more features.
Not a good app
Always problem with reding the payslip. Contracted hours a singled out as separate days not very easy to read on monthly payslip. I don't like the design. I much more liked the fourth- so much more user friendly. Not to mention, on schedules totally not redable. Simply don't work!
Consistent bugs
Consistent bugs, lack of flexibility to explain previous experiences and education when applying to jobs. Always makes me question whether it is worth applying to the job.
I have abandoned so many application…
I have abandoned so many application because it doesn't work for me 8 times out 10. This is where I get stuck, I try to create a new account by inputting my email address and creating a password 2x, when I hit create account, it gets stuck (it doesn't progress on my phone or the web). I just had this issue with Fact Sheet website.
It's happened so many times. Normally I check first, click through an application form, if it is Workday I DON'T BOTHER COMPLETING THE APPLICATION. Abandon ship.
Even when using this as an employee…
Even when using this as an employee starting a new job this software is atrocious. It's so so buggy. The password reset either doesn't work or doesn't log when you change your password. I can't believe workday is still in business who is using this and thinking what a great tool?
Poor Experience
I can't tell you the number of times I've had to create a new account because it can't remember my password or email address.
Not user friendly
terrible experience and I'm not just saying this because I'm bitter I have to use it for my college courses. I am trying to drop a class and it is insanely difficult for no reason, there are no clear instructions and hard to find where anything is on the site. Its a very confusing design because things are separated into sections which you think would be helpful but it is not. Things are just put randomly where ever the feel like putting them making actual productive things impossible. I hat4e this website and would not recommend anyone use it.
Workday ATS
Workday ATS, what a horrible system
Having been recently looking for a new opportunity, I've noticed quite a few companies use Workday. OK I though, I heard of the tool, though not met it from an applicant perspective.
And here comes the shortcomings. It fails to process the resume correctly, no matter how I format it.
It is limited to pre-selected options only.
Tedious, annoying, invasive (what's with the questions about religion, sexuality and age? is this even legal?) having now had to create several logins for several instances for different companies.
So far all my Workday applications have been rejected, surprisingly quickly. In one case it was a position I had two referrals for and the job description was like someone wrote it specifically to fit my CV. I wonder why it was rejected - was it some sort of AI, "computer says no" type of thing?
Most ATS I went through are mediocre at best, but Workday absolutely takes the cake for being the absolute worst.
Workday Is a Cruel Joke for Job Seekers – Stop Letting This Trash Ruin Candidate Experience
Applying via Workday is the most mind-numbing, soul-crushing part of any job search. Every time a Workday portal pops up, I brace myself for another round of pointless account creation, typing the same info I’ve already uploaded, fighting with broken autofill, and rage-quitting after losing all my data when the session times out. The interface is ugly, confusing, and seems meticulously designed to turn away good candidates. It's shocking that in 2025, a company can make something this hostile to applicants. Companies: if you use Workday, you are definitely losing out on top talent—because I, like thousands of others, simply won’t bother applying anymore. Fix it, or prepare to keep repelling qualified people, one broken form at a time.
