Claim are easy to submit and follow up on.
When I put in a claim it did take a little while but they paid it really without any problems. They also send you a link where you can print out the check instead of them having to mail it.

Thankfully didn't need to use the insurance while on holiday. Before i left I spoke to the company to check if a specific piece of sports equipment would be covered, and they replied quickly with all the information i needed. I was very impressed

The first time I purchased World Nomad, the airline lost my luggage on the way home. And Because it was on the way home, they wouldn't help me. I had expensive gear that was in that luggage, gear that I needed for my job at home and they wouldn't help.
So I gave them the benefit of the doubt and used them again.
I was bit by a cat in Africa the day before I came home. I was in rural Africa it wasn't easy nor recommended to go get a rabies shot there. In fact the State Health Department told me that even if I did I'd have to start over when I got back and World Nomad rep told me to speak with someone the next day to sort out the extenuating issue. Well tried to do that and they said because I got treatment at home, it wasn't their problem. Keep in mind, you have to get rabies shots every 3-4 days for the full series. How as I ever supposed to get and complete treatment in that foreign country? Let alone the night before I was leaving.
This is twice now they have stuck me and I don't see the point. Unless my body needs to be airlifted home which they'd probably argue on that to, there's no point.

Very easy to find all necessary information, clear communication. Price is honest. When I accidentally purchased their insurance (without checking that my husband bought one already), cancellation and money refund was quick and flawless. Definitely will use World Nomads for the future trips.

Their communication has been good…
Their communication has been good throughout the process, and they have been responsive whenever I reached out. I contacted them a month ago to request reimbursement for a dental expense, I still haven’t received the reimbursement. While I appreciate their communication, the process feels quite slow.
At the moment, I would describe them as communicative but somewhat delayed in handling claims.
