Very poor customer service
I returned 4 books by tracked delivery within 5 days of receiving them as they where no longer required and asked for a full refund, 3 weeks later I have not received any refund.
I've sent emails to customer services and received a generic reply within 30 seconds with no mention of a refund.
I've rung customer services only to listen to the message 'due to corona virus our phone lines have been taken down' great help.
Watson the online chat bot is a total waste of time as your never given the option to discuss a refund.
I cant see how Im ever going to receive my refund so just a warning to everyone that once they have your money you'll find it very hard to get it back so beware.

However, staff need not worry about future employment as they will be perfectly suited to work in an Ombudsman's Office - Another useless Organization !

Ordered £62 worth of books as I had used this site before with no issues.
Killing Grounds & Hunters Moon - Dana Stabenow didn’t arrive and they kept telling me it had. I’m really not stupid and know what had arrived as it’s part of a set I’m dutifully collecting.
Breakup - Dana Stabenow arrived in vile condition despite being advertised as very good. Spine was creased, pages torn and some falling out, was also a very weird colour and smelt horrific.
I keep getting generic responses from this company and nobody seems to care. You just go around and around in circles.
I’m left with no choice but to make a claim for fraud from my bank about this issue.
Will fail to deliver most of order but charge, books are drawn over
I am appalled with my order i couldnt believe my eyes! I ordered 9 books i've been charged for 9. Only 3 delivered!
The colouring and sticker books are drawn on and stickered all over! No where in description it mentions used in the ones i ordered i was very careful when ordering that this was case. WASTE OF TIME AND NOW THEY HAVE MY MONEY

Very poor company
Very poor company. Advertised a book for sale with photograph and then deliver entirely different book. Will not refund costs and postage. Beware of these Charlatans
Book not sent and refund shortchanged
I ordered a book listed for sale on the World of Books (WoB) website, and when payment had been taken out but no notification to when order shipped, I emailed to follow up. I was told I should have got an email to say the book in their warehouse was of poor quality and not saleable, but I could order another book. I emailed to ask for a refund, which when it came through, was less than what I had originally paid by about $3. I then emailed for the shortfall to be paid, and a response said it was "tax" deducted. Then a few days later I had the shortfall paid, however, it was still less than the full amount paid, by less 30 cents. That doesn't sound much, but if every refund is less 30c or $3.00 etc the WoB is getting extra $ off a lot of people. They shouldn't be advertising books for sale that aren't saleable, taking the money, then if they do refund, refunding less. Buyer beware of WoB!!!
Disappointed
Sadly I was very disappointed with my French road atlas which you described as up to date … it is VERY out of date!! So it went straight to the charity shop - but at least it was very cheap - so disappointed to say the least

i have used this company a few times with no complaints, but this last order was total mess up .I ordered The Murder of Roger Ackroyd soft cover book in good condition,,, and received cds.of the book..i thought i may as well play them ,, but they were rubbish and did not even work, as in knackered...I have complained twice but no response .Never again ..

Will never buy from this company again. Ordered books middle of January, still nothing although money taken from my account. Since then I’ve had a series of implausible reasons as to why my goods haven’t arrived and no refund.
