Long journey, mediocre results, low quality service continuum
I had high hopes for wpKraken. Unfortunately my 6 month long experience yielded mediocre results. I paid ~$250USD for some exploratory work because the sales team told me it was better for the developers to spend time assessing my current build and analyze the technical side of the request. This went fairly smooth, and the sales person relayed my requests to the technical team. The wpKraken team then gave me a detailed quote of ~$2,000USD to complete the project. I agreed and promptly paid. I was then passed onto a team who started working. The delivery date was due December 16th. Naturally, some hiccups and delays occurred. I was OK with this, as I'd rather wait for a good results. The team kept delivering work that was hastily slapped together. Their 'Quality Assurance' person certainly does not do anything before sending out work for client to preview. Requests for minor CSS changes were met with resistance, and I was quoted another batch of 8 hours of time. I reached out to management who did override the request for an additional 3 days of paid work. The final delivery still did not meet all the requirements in the scope of work. wpKraken team failed to understand my needs (even when a clear example was already hosted on my website), failed to amicably resolve issues, and did the bare minimum required.

Our company has been working with WP Kraken since last year. WordPress and Web Development has evolved in a very positive way. We are currently integrating stripe (payment gateway) into our marketplace using stripe’s connected accounts and developing new WordPress plugins. We have been mainly working with Sebastian and Michal through their Staff Augmentation service. We are beyond pleased with their impeccable service. They are extremely helpful and patient in guiding us through the whole process. They are very professional and knowledgeable. Overall we are very pleased with their services and strongly recommend their services. We look forward to continuing this positive and developing working relationship.

The worst experience ever
The worst experience ever. Poor communication, missed deadlines and a total lack of professionalism. I've worked with another US based developer before and he was great. He would turn projects around in a matter of weeks and communicate with me on a timely basis if there were any issues. With WP Kraken, they will take your job, then will hold it for 4 weeks and 3 days before the project is due they will finally take a look at the files only to let you know there are some issues and they can't start the job.
They might be ok for very small projects like a plugin install but for big projects like mine ( a custom designed e-commerce site with 2k+ different products) they are extremely disorganized, communication is literally non-existent, and the whole process is nothing but a major headache.

And in this case, we do not feel that this review is well earned. Please be aware that working on an implementation of the design that is changing during development without our knowledge is not an easy task. Additionally, this will always cause a delay in project delivery.
The communication part especially doesn't feel right since on multiple occasions we were the ones waiting for feedback, communication and trying to reach you via our platform or email. You are also in constant contact with your designated Client Relations Manager which we think also cannot be called non-existent communication.
We hope you will succeed in all your future projects. And of course, we are always ready to advise and support you on the products we already delivered for you.
