Gardenia pot of leaves NO flowers
Paid for a gardenia as a mother's Day gift to a friend. The medium potted plant had no blooms nor buds even though it was advertised as fully bloomed on their website. It was delivered on 5/9. Today is 5/29. My friend sent me latest picture of the gardenia plant but still NO blooms!! Looks like 1800flowers puts on false advertising on their website????
THEY DESERVE ZERO STARS
THEY DESERVE ZERO STARS ! i ordered 3 items for a friends birthday, it is late by 5 days and still counting !AND NOW they removed 2 items of their choice and only one will be delivered if they have time. no refunds, no notifications, Simply ridiculous ! I am going to charge them back. PLZ DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE !
Flowers were not delivered for a wake.
Flowers were not delivered for a wake. They said an attempted delivery was on Saturday. Wake was Sunday. The flower shop was closed on Sunday. 1800flowers nor the flower shop ever contacted me to explain the problem with being able to deliver on Sunday
I would give zero stars if I could
I would give zero stars if I could. Ordered a cremation arrangement for the urn to sit amongst at a memorial service. I received a call from my sister a half hour before the service that it hadn't arrived at the funeral home. After going round and round with their automated system, I finally got a person. They said no one had the flowers and that they emailed me to let me know. I didn't get an email. Why didn't someone CALL me?!?! So disappointing at an already difficult time. I then had to ask for a refund! If they knew the order couldn't be filled, why didn't they automatically process a refund?!?! Absolutely horrible! Will never use them again!
They are unreliable
They are unreliable, disorganized, and clearly overpromise delivery dates knowing they can't fulfill orders. I ordered 3 standing sprays and a casket spray for my mother’s funeral. My mother lived in a rural area where there aren’t many options of flower shops. I ordered on a Thursday and set the delivery date for Saturday. Although my mother’s funeral was on Monday, I wanted the flowers there in a timely manner. After the flowers were not delivered on Saturday, I contacted customer service and was told that they would be delivered Sunday morning. I waited all day Sunday and still received no delivery. At this point I’m pissed! Monday morning a flower shop in the area contacted me stated they had just received the order bc they were closed on Sat and Sunday. They went above and beyond to get my mother’s flowers to the funeral home on time. The lady stated they hate doing business through 1-800-Flowers bc the company makes the customers promises when they know they are unable to fulfill them. SMH! Why have the customer choose a delivery date on Sat or Sunday knowing they will not be delivered on that day? I was already upset and on an emotional roller coaster due to my mother’s death. The company stressed me out more with trying to keep up with the delivery of the order. I will never use them again. Going forward I will contact a shop directly
Ruined my special moment
I received something different from what I ordered and the card that came with my order wasn’t for me so I had no idea who sent the flowers. They apparently are unable to retrieve the message and card, which sucks because not only was it an additional charge but now two people didn’t get the message with their order. Then, when I called customer service they straight up lied about what the message said (after I later found out from sender what it was supposed to say). The balloon that was ordered is also not what is shown in the picture. For the amount of money spent this was definitely not worth it. I won’t be using this company again.
I placed an order for sympathy flowers…
I placed an order for sympathy flowers for a funeral and specifically paid for the largest standing arrangement in a white and blue color combination because it was meant to honor someone during a very somber occasion. Unfortunately, what was delivered was completely unacceptable and nothing close to what I ordered.
Instead of the large standing arrangement I paid nearly $300 for, a much smaller floor arrangement was delivered in yellow and pink colors — entirely different from what I selected. I was horrified and deeply embarrassed when I saw it at the service. During such an emotional and sensitive moment, the last thing anyone should experience is the stress and humiliation of a company failing so badly to deliver what was promised.
This felt careless, disrespectful, and honestly like a joke considering the amount of money spent and the importance of the occasion. I do not appreciate being treated in such an inconsiderate manner during a time of grief. I expected professionalism, compassion, and accountability, and unfortunately received none of those things.
It was a mistake choosing this company
I don’t know why I chose this service. I ordered flowers to mark an 85th birthday in Chicago. The flowers were despatched from Ohio. Are there no florists in Chicago? They were shipped on Monday for delivery on Wednesday. Then FedEx failed to deliver them on time. When they arrived 24 hours late, they were quite wilted. What a waste of money.
I will NEVER order from 1800FLOWERS AGAIN!
I ordered a birthday flower arrangement with same-day delivery from 1-800-Flowers. I received a notification saying the flowers had been delivered, but they never arrived.
I then used the AI chat support and was told a replacement arrangement would be sent out the same day. Shortly after, I received an email showing the replacement delivery was actually scheduled for the next day instead.
I called customer service, waited on hold for 20 minutes, and was ultimately told that although I paid for same-day delivery, it was somehow not available. No real explanation was provided. I even asked if choosing a different arrangement would allow same-day delivery, and the representative responded, “I don’t know.”
At that point, I requested a refund, which I am still waiting to see processed.
Completely unacceptable customer service and communication, especially for a birthday delivery where timing matters. I have ordered arrangements from 1-800-Flowers in the past, but after this experience I will no longer be using them.
Late delivery
My mother received her Mother’s Day flowers on May 15th, 2026 not May 9th as stated when I made the purchase. I never received a confirmation email. When I called to complain about the late delivery I never got to speak to a real person and they refused to give me a partial adjustment on my credit card. I don’t trust this company and I will never do business with them again.
Dead On Arrival
I should have looked here before I ordered my wife flowers, as this has very poor ratings. The flowers I ordered for Mother's Day were dead after two days and never opened, so I just threw them away, along with the $90 it cost to send them. Not such a loving gift, but as they say, it's the thought that counts. But for those who wish to surprise a loved one, such as I did for Mother's Day, don't use 1800flowers.com, as it's a rip-off unless you want dead flowers for your thoughts to a loved one.

I have ordered from them and I will never again
I have ordered from them before and have been disappointed by what is sent versus what the photo looks like but this Mother’s Day was the worst time yet. I will never order from them again. I ordered a really beautiful arrangement. Well, it looked beautiful in the photos but what turned up was nothing like the photo. They refused to refund saying the number of flowers were the same, even though it looks nothing like the bouquet and half of the flowers were not bloomed. If you want to be disappointed: order from them, if you want no customer service: order from them - otherwise I would stay away and just go to your local florist and be told face-to-face They don’t have what you want. That way you can make a choice for yourself instead of them just sending whatever and charging way more than a local florist would. Also, a local florist ends up filling all orders anyway. If you went to a local florist, you would get the better customer service instead of the justifications as to why they did not deliver what you ordered as if that makes it any better. If you don’t have what is ordered, you should let the customer know and refund them not just give a local florist The OK to give whatever flowers they have so that 1-800flowers can still keep their money even when it’s not what the Customer asked for. Definitely stay away.!
Late again
I ordered a plant for MIL for Mother's Day with the delivery date being May 8th or 9th. Mother's Day was May 10th. She did not receive the plant until May 11th. The last 3 or 4 orders with 1-800-Flowers have not gone well. Either the gift arrives way too early or late. Seems to not arrive "on time". I'm pretty sure I am finished with this company.
Funeral Services for a Viewing - Didn't get what I ordered!
Placed an order this Monday 5/11/2026 and I needed these flowers on Thursday evening 5/14/2026 for a Viewing. Lavender And White Funeral Standing Spray were the "EXTRA LARGE" $311.98. The huge issue is I received the "Small" for $139.98 and waited around at my house til 6:49pm!!! Delivery Services to Residential Areas: 9am-8pm. The Funeral Service & Viewing was from 5pm to 9pm. I immediately called 1800Flowers Customer Service phone number. He asked if it was okay for those flowers to be delivered for tomorrow. I told him I needed this today because of the Funeral Services & Viewing was today. I demanded a FULL refund and 1800FLOWERS gave it right away.
1800FLOWERS use to be good in the past years, but in the beginning of 2026 I needed Funeral Services and they dropped the ball earlier this year. 1800FLOWERS couldn't get a local Florist to process the flowers in time. It was NEVER DELIVERED and 1800Flowers did try to contact me. This was the first time I've had a bad experience with them and I thought it was a fluke. 1800Flowers was remorseful and gave me $15 Gift Card. Now this is the second time. NEVER AGAIN!
I ordered Mother’s Day flowers to my…
I ordered Mother’s Day flowers to my house on May 6 to be there for May 10.. it is May 16 and they still have not been delivered!
The Flowers that never made it!
On Wednesday, May 13 I set an order around 8:30 AM and paid extra for same-day delivery for Flowers to be delivered. The flowers were also supposed to be delivered before 2 PM not until 3:45 PM did I receive an email stating that my flowers could not be delivered their customer service department closes at 4 PM with 15 minutes left in their business day. I waited on hold for 32 minutes with a representative across seas, that would check in every 2 to 3 minutes waiting on someone from their customer service department to come on the line. When someone finally came on the line, I gave them my order number and they said that the reason that it could not be delivered was because of high volume in an area that I know does not have high volume. When I challenged that statement, they began to tell me that the floral arrangement that I purchased through 1800flowers.com could not be made because they did not have the specific flowers to make it. In the email that they sent they said that they would upgrade the purchase free of charge for the inconvenience. I then gave them the opportunity to deliver it today on Thursday, May, 14th again I received an email later in the day specifying that it could not be delivered. These are horrible business practices and I understand that floral arrangements are outsourced to local places, but there needs to be better accountability between 1-800 Flowers and those they utilize to fulfill the orders.
Placed an order for a funeral service…
Placed an order for a funeral service with specific times. I noticed that I never received a confirmation of delivery. I reached out to customer service and was told the flowers would be delivered between 9am - 6pm. It was specifically sent to a funeral home with noted time of service. The services are over. This is horrible service and I will NEVER use or recommend that anyone uses them again. I need a FULL refund.
Order not fulfilled
I’ve been a customer for a few years, but my last order with them was a bit frustrating. I ordered my mom flowers and a card to be delivered for Mother’s Day (and paid a shipping upcharge for them to be delivered close to the holiday). She hadn’t gotten them, so I figured it’s just been a delay. On Wednesday, 4 days later, I check the tracking and they haven’t even been SHIPPED. When I called, they said they’ll “reorder them” for no additional charge, but that’s not the point. If I hadn’t complained, what? They would’ve taken my money and let the order fall by the wayside? Those flowers were never going to ship in the first place. Reordering them was the bare minimum- I feel I should’ve gotten a voucher for the inconvenience it caused my family, or a shipping refund, extra flowers for my mom, something! And look, I’m sure it’s the busiest time of year for them. But I had ordered these 3 weeks in advance knowing that. I’ll probably use another company next year.
