After four failed attempts at learning to drive over the last 21 years with four different instructors, I honestly thought driving just wasn’t for me. I’d always do the same thing — buy a car, feel motivated for a few weeks, make a bit of progress, then lose confidence and give up before even booking a test.

Then I started lessons with John from the 2nd2NONE Driving School Ltd Shaftesbury branch, and within the third lesson I remember thinking, “Hang on… I might actually pass this thing.”

Somehow, John managed to do in a few lessons what other instructors couldn’t do in years. He explains things clearly, stays unbelievably patient, and makes lessons feel relaxed instead of stressful. He’s also just a genuinely great bloke, which makes a massive difference when you’re sat in a car panicking about roundabouts or making maneuvers.

Five lessons later — within a month — I passed my test. Still can’t quite believe it.

If you’re someone who’s struggled with confidence, given up before, or thinks you’re a hopeless learner driver like I did, book with John. When it comes to teaching driving, the bloke is absolutely top tier.

Recently passed my test with 2nd2none driving school, I had my lessons with Paula from the Chippenham, she was absolutely amazing from start to finish! I was very nervous to start lessons, she made sure I stayed calm, and pushed me all in the right directions! I couldn’t recommend enough!

My experience with 2nd2none was absolutely amazing thanks to Royston. I was so nervous about learning to drive again from previous experience and he made it so easy and comfortable. I passed my test first time with about 20hrs of lessons. Highly, highly recommend to everyone who wants to learn.

Pete was brilliant no messing about and got me straight through my test with no minors. He is very fair and doesn’t make you waste your money doing loads of hours that you do no need couldn’t recommend more

I was very nervous about learning to drive but from our first driving lesson Gary put me at ease straight away. He gave clear instructions but also let me figure things out for myself in safe situations. He built up my confidence and I can’t thank him enough. I would 100% recommend Gary I’m going to miss our driving lessons.

I really enjoyed my driving lessons with Garry and felt comfortable from the very beginning. He was always encouraging and always explained things in a way that made sense. He helped build my confidence and made learning to drive a positive experience. I’m so pleased to have passed first time and would definitely recommend him and everyone at 2nd2none.

I was such an anxious driver from day 1 of learning to drive, Gary from 2nd to None would completely change that and now i'm a confident driver! I never thought I would of actually passed my test. He was always calm, clear and cheerful! Really great driving instructor. Thank you so much! I passed with only 1 minor which was observations on my manover over my right shoulder when doing the 2 car lengths reverse back.

Extremely professional, high quality learning experience. My instructor was John Parks, and I recommend him. He never 'switched off' even for a moment while we were practicing - always on, always giving advice, guidance, and praise.

Very happy with this experience. Emma was calm, reliable, knowledgeable, went the extra mile. 22hrs of lessons over a 5 month period and our relatively anxious 17 year old passed her test first time and with real confidence.

Laura was absolutely amazing with my son. He had an absolute ball and cant wait to do it again. Put him at ease straight away as it was his first time driving. Massive thankyou. See you soon

2nd2none was helpful and had friendly staff

Wayne was an amazing driving instructor and taught me well and made learning to drive easy and made me enjoy the whole driving experience. I also did the pre 17s and would definitely recommends!!!

Booked in advance lessons for my daughter and just a week before her test the driving instructor informed her she would not allow her to use her car for the test after carrying out what she called a mock test. This left us with a problem of finding a suitable vehicle which unfortunately we were unable to do and now we are back at square one trying to book a new test. My main complaint is that having informed the company immediately and asking for a refund of paid lessons and use of car for test I have heard nothing and I am still waiting for a refund. We would not recommend the instructor and the communication and customer service in this instance was very poor.

Today I passed my Part 3 ADI test and am now a fully qualified driving instructor. I truly couldn’t have achieved this without the help and support of 2nd2none, especially my trainer Glenn, as well as Holly, Zoe in the office and Lorraine for her valuable tips and guidance. Both as a company and as individuals, I couldn’t rate their support and knowledge any higher than 10 out of 10. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to follow the same path as I have, or to anyone seeking driving lessons. Thank you all so much for your support

I have just finished my 5 day intensive with a pass through 2nd2none. Initially I had some problems with my first instructor however after reaching out to the company it was swiftly dealt with and I was then given Glenn as an instructor. He was absolutely amazing!! Very professional, was able to have a laugh and he got me to work super hard and clearly the result paid off. Would definitely recommend the company as a whole but Glenn in particular was perfect and exactly what I needed.
