Let the buyer beware
With much sadness I write a negative review. Just been scammed out of £16.80 by 3Way who say that there is nothing unlawful about bumping up the prices and adding on to the ticket prices. Very True. British trading law is based on ‘Caveat emptor’ ‘Let the buyer beware’, and that the ticket price is only an invitation to make an offer.
An example; One of the items I bought was a pair of sofa covers. Online they are advertised as being £6.50; in the shop they are labelled at £9, which I accepted; when I got home I found that they had charged me £14. (All prices were without the VAT)
I have not been scammed by anything like this before, these guys are a first. They added £16.80 onto a £42 ordered, then argued that had not broken any law. This is very true, as buyers it is our job to check what we are being charged, but is this the sort of company that you want to do business with?
Please take care with these people.
