Brilliant camper conversion; could not be happier with the build quality and the customer service, both at handover and then subsequently when (patiently !) re-explaining "stuff" about the van that I had forgotten. Great people.

Great weekend away in one of the 8 Ball Camper Conversions.
Lovely and spacious converted transporter, that fit 4 adults in nicely, nice modern finishings and at night there was a lovely cosy feel to the van!
The layout was well thought out and I enjoyed having the storage space to keep the van tidy over the change up between night and day!
Definitely worth the purchase!

The team at 8 ball did a great job with the Van. Attention to detail has been superb and the customer service couldn’t be better. The interior has been designed in a way so that it is comfy and spacious with all the utilities you need. No company does it better than them in my experience. Any aftercare questions we’ve had have been dealt with quickly too. Would certainly recommend them to anyone.

I choose 8ball because of their good reviews and excellent price. I opted for the 8ball 2 conversion for my t6.1 swb.

I’m so pleased with the results. There was a 3 month waiting list but I guess that’s because they are so good.

The guys at 8Ball could not have been more helpful from day one where they gave advice on sourcing a T6, to the day we picked the converted van up! There was no pushy sales, rather sound advice on aspects of what we might want to consider in the conversion, or could have at a later point also.
The day after pick up there was an issue with a cupboard door not closing. Colin was really accommodating getting the van in to resolve the catch issue. We could not fault their professionalism and craftsmanship. We love our van and can’t wait to spend time travelling to places in her!

Our sixth year as proud owners of "Ruby" an 8 Ball camper and we couldn't be happier. With expertise borne of experience and passion, their no nonsense advice, quality of workmanship and after sales support has been excellent.
As your van evolves (...and it will!) 8 Ball are there with practical support, such as with recent Calor gas issues, and advice on future plans e.g. we're looking at adding PV solar and 8 Ball have various solutions.

We decided we wanted a VW T6 camper van, however despite being in the industry we knew nothing about van conversions. After a recommendation from a friend we checked out the 8 ball online materials and guides which are excellent, we then dropped in for an informal chat with Colin and Mike. That was 20 months ago! We didn't have a van at that stage, Colin was very helpful with potential sources and we went ahead and sourced our van. We booked our conversion slot and joined the waiting list of campers. About two months before our slot we called in and had a detailed discussion about the spec, options and colours. Colin was great with help and advice and even suggestions as to if we really needed some items. Conversion time came around and we dropped off the van and within two weeks the van was ready. We were really pleased with the quality and finish, loved it!
As I said we were first timers and despite having things explained at handover we had lots of daft questions that we came up with over the coming weeks and months, Mike and Colin were always on hand to take a call and assist. Mike went above and beyond in helping us secure a Calor gas bottle as they were nearly impossible to get hold of without an empty, Mike got one for us! We had a minor problem with the mood lighting that was resolved quickly.
Latterly, good old Calor Gas discontinued the gas bottle size that was required, Mike provided a new pipe and regulator to enable used of Camping Gaz at no charge, excellent service!
Overall I can not fault their customer guidance, build quality and aftersales help and service. Give them a go!

After a couple of years weighing up the pros and cons and cost!.we landed at 8 BALL CAMPERS through a few friends highly recommending them.
From the first conversation to collecting the new camper van, I can’t find any fault from service to product. From speaking to Collin and Mike, visiting 8Ball campers and meeting all the team everyone was so friendly, very professional. Everything tailored to our needs not theirs. A hard decision made very easy.

Just had my van converted by 8 ball camper conversions. Went down to check them out before we decided to go with them. Colin and Mike explained the different stages very clearly and we went back in to discuss exactly what we wanted not long after. All the extras we added on were explained and we were discouraged if it was not really required. Dropped the van off and 2 weeks later van came out a camper. Did have a small issue with the poptop but this was a manufacturing fault and Austops themselves have advised they will replace in warranty at anytime but the issue was instantly resolved. We will be back for further upgrades in the future. Great work, and finished to a very high standard, absolutely love it.

Can't believe it is nearly 4 years since I had my van converted with the team at 8 Ball ... I popped over to see the guys to help me with my leisure battery ... I was sorted and back on the road in no time ... excellent service as always - Superb thanks guys

8ball converted my van 7 years ago now. I use it as my only vehicle. Its a mobile office for work; somewhere to stay when visiting family; have camped in hospital car parks when my grandson was born and he and his mummy were unwell. Its been a festival van and taken us on road trips in Europe. Nothing has ever gone wrong. Only had one change of leisure battery and yesterday a change to camping gaz which I was not charged for. If I have had any questions Mike and Colin have always been there. When I was getting the conversion they dissuaded me from spending more money than I needed to on things that were not going to be any good. So glad I chose 8ball for my conversion. 🥰 Rhiannon

8 ball campers have just finished the third camper they have made for me. As always they have provided a great service and made me a great camper to fit my requirements. Really honest straight forward bunch of guys, great at advising me what I would need or not need for my camper. Can’t recommend them enough and will be using them for my next camper project

Bad experience... never again.
Bought a new vw van conversion 2021 from them. Nearly £50k a d about 1000 miles on it. It was 2021 model. And bought it then. They said they had a 2 year warranty but not in writing when I asked for it.
The water tap would not work within a week.
The man from 8 ball camper said it was a faulty sensor.
They took the van away and within a few days the same thing happened. So they said it was electrical.
First time e I used the fridge the leisure battery failed to work the fridge within half a day.
I kept telling them of the problems via text but no reply.
A few weeks later the company owners colin and Mike came unexpected in the mid evening. Both were shouting at me and I had to tell them to calm down.
They would not commit anything thing in writing.
I had to drive the van to their place about a week later.
They said the leisure battery was not charging off the engine and blames VW.
I drove 50 miles to vw centre to take a look. They said it was the conversation fault and not vw.
I sent at least 3 messages to 8 ball and asked what would be the remedy. They ignored me over the following month and it wasn't rectified.
The pop up roof bowed in the hot sun.
I know for a fact I've dissuaded 2, posibly 3 people from using 8 ball after they heard my account.
I've gotten rid of the van now after having the faults fixed.

After much consideration and research I finally decided on, and purchased a VW T6 LWB for conversion to a camper back in October of 2019.

I researched many conversion companies, each having their own style of conversion, base price and spec. After much consideration I began looking at 8 Ball Camper Conversions, despite them being situated hundreds of miles from home. This was due to them providing the option of fitting Austops Roofs (great for 2m height restrictions) and using RIB seat beds, which in my opinion are the most practical for use as a comfortable seat, with the important ISOFIX Points For the kids. I also liked their focus on practicality, making sensible use of the limited space available.

Having contacted them via email with a number of questions I discovered that they replied very promptly and appeared extremely Knowledgeable and passionate about their work. This is clearly reflected in the fact I couldn’t find a single negative review or comment about the company online.
I finally spoke to Mike, or maybe it was Colin on the telephone for the first time, he happily answered more questions and made a number of cost saving suggestions. Shortly after hanging up I made my decision, called them back and gave my deposit. Unfortunately they didn’t have a slot for some months later, but this is clearly testament to their popularity, and provided me with further confidence that I had made the right choice.

I got my van to them before COVID restrictions took hold and unfortunately, yet understandably the conversion took a little longer than their normal timescales.

I have since recently picked my van back up, and wow what a job. My wife and I couldn’t be more pleased. It is fantastic, Mike, Colin and the rest of the team really have made us happy. Hopefully we will be able to use it to it’s full potential in the not too distant future. I would have no hesitation in giving 8 Ball my money again, and highly recommend there workmanship. Their attention to the finer details is superb.
Having brought the van home there were a couple of minor issues that were very quickly rectified. Further testament of a company that values their customers and to providing an impeccable after sale service.

It’s also worth mentioning that my experience has shown me that 8 Ball take all the precautions to operate as safely as possible within the current COVID guidelines.
