AVOID THIS SITE

I would strongly recommend people avoid this store. I ordered an item on December the 19th and it is 10th of February and I still have no item.

I have had to constantly chase the company not once have they been proactive and contacted myself to give me an update.

Every time someone called Jordan eventually gets back to me I get another date in which the item will arrive but it never does and still has not.

Strongly advise people avoid this website as the customer service is disgustingly poor and the items never arrive.

As the sole operator of 97th Vintage, along with help from a part-time colleague, I strive to provide a helpful service to all our customers and aim to respond to every inquiry within 24 to 48 hours and continued to do so throughout our emails back and forth.

I acknowledge that we faced minor delays with a stock delivery due to the Chinese New Year, which, unfortunately, was entirely beyond my control and was outlined in an email sent to you on February 4th. Nonetheless, your package was collected by Royal Mail on the same day.

I have reached out to Royal Mail this afternoon to inquire about the status of your parcel, and I will ensure it is redirected back to us. In the meantime, a full refund has been processed as per your request on email.

Ordered £150 premium bundle

Ordered £150 premium bundle. Was very disappointed to receive brands like Naff Naff which have never been classed as premium. Website listed brands which are miss leading only item would be classed as premium and was not worth the money as could buy elsewhere cheaper

Dishonest seller

Brought a pair of trousers on this seller's Vinted account. The item was listed in the woman's section, but it was actually a pair of men's trousers. I asked to return the item and the seller accepted the request. I said because the seller listed the item wrongly, I should not be the one paying for the return postage. The seller said he/ she would refund me the postage cost via PayPal once the item is back with the seller. Since I posted the return parcel, there is no response from the seller at all. I had to contact Vinted to get my refund (as the seller wouldn't confirm he/ she has received the parcel, despite the tracking clearly showed), and of course, the seller never pay me back for the return postage!

Rather Upset

I’m rather upset by my experience with this company. I ordered two items, both of which were unsuitable upon arrival. The bag purchased was removed from their packaging for approximately 30 seconds; it was immediately apparent that it was unsuitable as it was considerably smaller than I was expecting. I barely handled the item and returned it to the packaging immediately. When arranging a return, although advised that swing tags would need to be attached in order for the return to be accepted, I omitted to check because I had not handled the bag for any more than a couple of seconds as aforementioned. During the return process I was advised that the item would
be returned due to the fact the swing tags were missing from the bag. I live in a very minimalist, immaculately clean property and the tag is nowhere to be seen at home in the room I opened the package, meaning it is either in the original packaging having fallen off, or was never there in the first place. Customer service IGNORED my explanation and returned the bag without any consideration or discussion. EDITED IN RESPONSE TO BELOW - thank you for taking the time to respond. However, you miss the point of my review which is that I did not remove the tag. I just didn’t. It either fell off or was never there to begin with.

We had to deny the return of one item in your order because the swing tag was no longer attached to the item, this was highlighted in our most recent email sent to you.

It's important to note that every item at 97th Vintage is preloved, which means that it may have been used before. However, if the swing tag is no longer attached, we cannot determine if any item has been used since purchase. This is why it is so important to keep the swing tag attached to your items until you are sure you want to keep them.

The importance of the swing tag is highlighted on the tag itself, so be sure to pay attention to this detail when making a return.

Poor experience

I ordered 3 items. A jacket, a jumper and a sweatshirt. The condition of all 3 was described as good or very good. The jacket was fine. The jumper has a hole on the neckline which wasn’t mentioned on the description - it is impossible to repair. The sweatshirt has stains on the front which I have tried to get out and cannot. So the two items were a total waste of money.

Concerns Regarding Purchase and Customer Service Experience

I purchased a sweater with an embroidered YSL logo, which appears to be a brand-new item rather than vintage. Additionally, the tag was removed, raising questions about its authenticity. I paid $300 CAD for this item and was disappointed to find that I had to cover the return shipping costs, as the company would not reimburse me that part.

When I mentioned obtaining verification from a YSL expert regarding the item’s authenticity, I was met with a threat of legal action from a representative named Jordan. This response was both unprofessional and concerning.

I have since discovered that other customers have faced similar issues, reinforcing my belief that this company is not legitimate. I strongly advise others to exercise caution when considering purchases from this retailer.

Regarding your response, time doesn’t matter here. You are not a legitimate business and you sell fakes. Point blank! The world needed to know, even after 13 months. 😘

Great jacket, good price, bad communication

The jacket I bought arrived clean and fits perfect..I did contact the seller saying that there had been a sewing job done on the sleeve and a pin was left in which went through my finger when I tried the jacket on. I didn't get a response yet with an apology or anything, though it's only been a week.

Rudest email responses I've ever received

Sharing a vile email response from this SCAM of a "business". This is the tone they have for customers who call them out for the false advertising of garments - says everything about them and shows just the level of harassment they're willing to go to if you badmouth them. Despicable behaviour.

"Hi Sarah,

What a vile, false and destructive Trustpilot review you have left there.

I have been nothing but helpful to you in this situation, I have offered you the return for a full refund as well as sent you the return details. We even offered you the refund? What a sad life to go out of your way to plaster fake rubbish all over the internet in an attempt to destroy innocent small businesses. Grow up.
