I had booked a taxi

I had booked a taxi, for what I believe was outside Moor Street train station, but I believe I had accidentally booked it at a church near by??. When the driver called me to ask where I was I said my location. He proceeded to shout at me and tell me I booked it for St. Martins Queensway, yes it seems like the app had booked me for pick up there, my fault, but instead of perhaps directing me to his location, as I do not know this side of town at all. I was simply shouted at to the point I started to cry. Never mind that I have to wait 3 hours until my train at night (due to cancellations), when I have never been in town at night, on my own no less. I felt stupid thanks to the driver, I was scared as I was on my own, the buses didn't run to my home location, all he had to do was direct me to where he had parked, he didn't even give me the chance to use google maps to find him. In the end I simply said, "Sir, you are shouting at me, I don't know where you are, it is fine just cancel please." He then proceeded to shout at me for wasting his time to get to said location, but according to the app he was obviously in the area as it was booked in 2 minutes. He cancelled of course, like asked. I now am waiting at the train station as I dont want to use a taxi at all in case I make another mistake. So thank you driver for making me feel stupid, small and scared. This is the first time in my life I have even done any kind of review. As I have never thought it was needed.

Left a lone female stranded appalling service

Pre booked a taxi on the app 12 hours in advance for 12.15am. When I checked the app just before my pick up time there was no car on the way. When I called at 12.20am I was told it was 10 minutes away. The car never arrived and I was left stranded as a lone female after my night out. Their response was that no one accepted my job and their drivers are self employed and they can’t make them take a job. Their service is an absolute disgrace and they are jeopardising women’s safety on a night out by taking advance bookings for taxis and not allocating them a car. Avoid this company they are a disgrace!!

My wife uses this taxi all the times…

My wife uses this taxi all the times for years and have been brilliant, now just be careful when woman are travelling in this taxi, the drivers are abusive towards women and would use nasty language on woman and children; especially if there is only woman travelling.

What's the point of a confirmed booking !

I booked a taxi which was confirmed at 10.48am on 19.2 for a taxi at 12.30pm on 19.2. On checking the app and seeing that a taxi was not on the way to me at 12.30 I called and was told " no driver has picked this up, dont know if it will be, they are self employed, its annoying", well its not as annoying as having theatre tickets, a confirmed booking and then no taxi turning up !! Badly let down by A2B, I cancelled and booked an Uber, who did turn up and who I will use instead !

Pre-booked taxis ridiculously late

Awful service. Before the pandemic I used A2B all the time and loved them. Twice I have prebooked a car recently a couple of hours in advance. The first time it was 45 mins late. The second time when it didn’t arrive on time I checked the app and it kept saying it was on its way and had a driver assigned to it but it never turner up. When I checked at the point it was 25 minutes late the driver I had been assigned cancelled so it was only just searching for a new taxi again. At that point I cancelled and deleted the app.
Both times I missed dinner reservations and the evening was ruined. I understand they may have a shortage of drivers but don’t take pre-bookings or any bookings if you can’t honour then and if they are going to be that late we should be warned and given the opportunity to cancel. There was no communication at all, I couldn’t even reach them to find out what was going on the second time. Really disappointed.

Taxi from Birmingham international…

Taxi from Birmingham international railway to hampton. Fixed rate £6:90 but got charged on Airpay £8:16. I called to complain on 01743 441144 on 30:01:22 at approx 8:15, and the man put the phone down after explaining what had happened.
Taxi driver unaware that I had already paid, I had to show him the wallet transaction, he said it should be less than that. Be warned don’t pay by apple pay etc. I am very dissatisfied with this poor service.

A fast and reliable service

A fast and reliable service, we pre booked a taxi to collect from 2 households last night, with the final destination at the Electric cinema in the City centre, all was on time and ran very smoothly , the pick up wasn’t pre booked but only took 5mins… the taxis are clean and the drivers are exceptionally polite, the operational lady who I spoke to was soo lovley and wished me a great evening as she hadn’t been to that cinema , really lovley lady who is obviously well trained.
You receive an automatic text after your call to advise on times and destinations straight after your call too.
It’s well priced too!… we organised a taxi to birmingham airport last year from B14, it was on time and only cost £23.50, other quotes were between £35-45!…… well done AtoB…

WOULD NEVER BOOK WITH A2B AGAIN, BOOKED 6 SEATER FOR 8PM ON NEW YEARS EVE TO SOLIHULL (JUST OVER 3 MILES) CHARGED US £24.50. WHEN WE QUERIED THE PRICE WE WERE TOLD IT WAS DOUBLE TIME. THIS WAS NEVER MENTIONED WHEN WE ORDERED TAXI OR BY THE DRIVER WHEN WE GOT IN TAXI. ALSO NO VISIBLE METRE. AVOID. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. OUR TAXI HOME WAS £16 WITH A DIFFERENT COMPANY

Unscrupulous Company with a Driver Who…

Unscrupulous Company with a Driver Who Lied and Took Advantage of a Senior Citizen.

On 21st December 2021 I booked a taxi through A2B Radio Cars, now owned by GoCarz, to take my 85 year old father from Coventry to Birmingham Airport at 3.30amin the morning. As Coventry is out of area they said I would have to pay for the journey via their airpay link otherwise the car would not turn up. So I paid a deposit and the balance was taken after the journey totalling £21.55.

However, my Dad was charged cash for the journey by the driver. The fare was £21.55 . My Dad only had 2 £20 notes and told the driver to take £23. The driver said £7 change and took an extra £10 tip. My Dad tried to wave him down as he drove away but it was too late. He did not get a receipt.

My Dad told me what happened and I reported it to the company the next day by calling their booking number. At first they were understanding and said they would refund the money within 2 days. Nothing arrived so I chased the money a week later. Again I was told the money would be refunded. Still no money so I chased again and was given an email.

Zoe Belsen came back to me saying they had interviewed the driver and to quote "We have spoken at length with the driver partner; the driver partner has confirmed he only charged according to the meter and denies any additional funds were paid."

So, the driver lied but as I had no receipt I thought I have to let the £10 go and simply asked for the return of my £21.55 having been charged twice. At this point Zoe said there was insufficient evidence that we paid anything in cash and would not refund the money.

We used A2B Radio Cars previously for taxis to the airport and they were always goodxand paid cash. Since being taken over by GoCarz it seems their standards have slipped. They took advantage of an 85 yo man at 3.30pm in the morning. The driver has blatantly lied and is untrustworthy. I rarely write negative reviews but this is my only way of letting off steam.

Looking at their Trust Pilot scores (see images) and reading the reviews I am not the only person to have had a poor experince with this company. It's likely if you use them you'll have a positive experience but too many people are making complaints and you might be unlucky and get one of their bad apples.

My advice do not use a company who employ liars, take advantage of people and are impossible to deal with when issues occur. Find a company that has better standards.

Used for 20+ years Never Again!

Would give them Zero if possible! I ordered 3 days in advance a mini bus or 2 x 6 seaters to take us to a friends Birthday party in Claverdon. They did not turn up!!! I called them 3 times and in the end I lost my temper, told the rude customer service woman that I would be putting the phone down, deleting the A2B App and would never use them again. This is after using them for 20 years+
Take a good look at the service you provide, you are failing your customers.

They rip off the elderly!

Please do not let your elderly family use this company. The driver decided to go the longest way possible to the destination, despite both the sat nav and my 79 year old Mother telling him he was going the wrong way. A2B stated that my mother was charged correctly, yes she was charged for a 6 mile journey but in fact should have only been 3.3 miles! They do not care that the driver ripped off an old lady travelling on her own. After numerous complaints they offered a voucher for the difference in cost, I told them my Mother paid cash and wants a refund in cash because we have no intention of using this company again, yet they refuse to! Absolutely disgraceful, unethical company.

I read about the reviews just after I had booked a taxi for the next day, I was a bit apprehensive seeing a lot of negative reviews. From my experience I cannot fault these guys who were on time and reasonably priced, even very quick to pick us up from Solihull Station

Was once the best. Now the worst

Never have cars in my area. You're lucky if you can even get through to an operator.
Note. Do not prebook for an airport run or early morning journey to work. No car will will arrive even if you call 20mins ahead to double check.
Used to be the best taxi service for years and years. Now the worst.

Appalling service and disgraceful…

Appalling service and disgraceful customer service. No point booking a taxi they will show up when they feel like it and claim it’s out of their hands. Don’t try to complain, you’ll either be ignored or hung up on. Horrible staff and even worse service if I could give them no star I would’ve.
