If you’re comfortable being charged for repairs without any itemised receipt, cost breakdown, or meaningful substantiation, then this company may suit you. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I was expected to accept charges at face value with no transparency about what work was actually done or how the costs were calculated.
To make matters worse, the customer service was extremely poor. Benali, the representative I dealt with, was completely unhelpful. His responses were limited to “I don’t know” or “my manager will contact you,” yet no follow-up ever occurred and no progress was made. It felt like I was being given the runaround rather than actual support.
Overall, my experience left me frustrated and out of pocket, with no clarity on what I paid for. I cannot recommend this company unless they significantly improve their transparency and customer service.

We had a car rental reservation through AAA with Thrifty Car Rental at the Tulum International Airport in Mexico. When we arrived, Thrifty had no record of our reservation and no extra vehicles to rent. My wife called AAA to ask for help locating another car rental and was told AAA does not offer same day rental reservation services. No other car rental agencies had extra vehicles so we ended up hiring a shuttle van and driving 40 kilometers to the town of Tulum to get a rental car. Don't use AAA--the reservation is no guarantee and they'll abandon you.

We rented a car at Dollar through AAA.
We’re currently at Albuquerque Sunsport Airport. We’ve been in line for 20 minutes and haven’t moved— and there are 34 people ahead of us!!😡😡😡 DO NOT RENT A CAR THROUGH AAA, especially at Dollar!

We Rented a Nissan Micra for one week in mid June. First had issues when we struggled to get them to honour the quote we got on the phone with Majid. After 3 days of having the car it broke down on sheikh zayed road and luckily we managed to pull over on the hard shoulder in time. Fortunately, we were close to a petrol station and put in 5L just to make sure this wasnt the issue but the car still didnt work. Majid came after we called him and got a recovery service crane to take the car and he drove us to the rental place. He apologised for the car problem and said he would change the battery and return the car or give us a replacement if it didn't work. He gave us a replacement to take home. The next day Majid tried calling multiple times and sent a message threatening to call the police and to return the replacement car. We drove to the rental place after this harassment and spoke to him. He claimed that it was our fault the Micra battery died, and that having the hazard lights on (which were on for about 30 mins for obvious safely reasons) killed the battery. He also claimed that he could ''tell from GPS" (whatever that means) that we had tried to start the car 35 times, which is complete rubbish, we tried a maximum of 3 times. He then said that he would charge us 600dhs for the recovery service and the new battery. We refused to pay as it was clearly not our fault and he was pulling numbers out of the air, not showing receipts for anything. Majid said he wouldn't return the rental car to us as we "owed money" despite us having payed 500dhs to rent for a whole week and this was day 4. Furthermore, he refused to give us our property from the boot.

Majid is the most dishonest and unprofessional person I have ever had to deal with and I warn anyone who is thinking about renting with AAA rent a car not to do so, the cheaper prices are not worth the headache that this company has caused us. Furthermore, they have basically stolen money from us by not giving us the car for the amount of time we paid to rent it. We will be lodging a complaint with Dubai consumer protection.

Our family has rented cars in Dubai for several years and never encountered this kind of problem before.

I always feel comfortable with AAA Rent A Car whenever I visit Dubai with my family.
