After researching local clinics, I came across ABC and felt they were the most suitable for us. Their pricing was very competitive and they had an easily accessible central location in Bristol.

All the nurses were super friendly and welcoming at the clinic - I couldn’t have asked for better care.

Our fresh round was sadly unsuccessful but the clinic changed my medication for our frozen round which resulted in our now 4 month old little boy!

Communication is by email with the clinic which can be slower than calls, but worked well for me being able to email my concerns at any time! And they are very happy to answer any questions you have. I always felt supported on my journey.

I have since recommended ABC to friends after our positive experience with the clinic.

After years of trying to get pregnant and suffering 2 miscarriages, me and my wife welcomed our gorgeous little boy into the world in June of last year. The staff and everyone involved in our journey were amazing and our treatment was affordable. We would love to use them again for our next child.

Highly recommend abc ivf Bristol! Me and my husband had a successful ICSI cycle after 4 years of trying for a baby and we can't fault any part of the process. Everyone at the clinic was so friendly and reassuring, medication was delivered on time and costs were always transparent. I was so nervous about doing IVF, particularly the egg retrieval, but the staff really put me at ease and didn't make me feel silly for being a bit scared.

Our FET procedure went really well and I felt so looked after and listened to. Staff count do enough to make sure I felt ok and was comfortable.

From start to finish, our ivf journey was treated with the upmost importance by all the team in bristol. from the consultants to the receptionists. Always to hand when needed, everything explained clearly and procedures and appointents carried out with complete dignity. After 7years ttc abc brought our journey to an end on round 2 of icsi and we are expecting our baby may 2023. We couldnt be any more thankful to all involved espeshially nurse ellen and dr spiros. Thank you for making our family complete.

Cannot thank you guys enough! We were lucky enough to be successful on our first try, with our only viable egg! And we now have a one month old baby boy! Thank you really does not cut it, you have literally made all of our dreams come through and we will be forever grateful

We honestly cannot recommend ABC IVF enough! We have had the most comforting and supportive experience during our journey. We now have a beautiful baby boy and we are so thankful to all the staff at the Bristol clinic. Thank you for everything you’ve done!

Nursing. Respect for advice and patience of nursing staff and doctor who handled my wife's transfer.

Communication. Reasons for clinic visits were not always clear. Knowing the big picture aids understanding and acceptance, and should be more frequently told to patients. Also if calling from private numbers, please notify in advance.

Costs. I don't think these are transparent. We paid the ICSI cost but the transfer wasn't done in the same cycle (medical reasons respected) so had to pay for FET and storage to complete a transfer. This type of situation should be made clear.

FET. While appreciating the work involved, it feels like a penalty for misfortune when doing these. The cost is high and our notified cost was increased by 25% which was unreasonable.

Care. Ivf is a tough process for woman. I know my wife would have appreciated a "how are you going?" Unrequested call from the clinic. I appreciate staff are busy, but It makes the process more friendly.

We went to ABC IVF as we needed local affordable treatment following 6 failed fertility treatment attempts elsewhere. We met the criteria and also loved the idea of the ‘gentle’ approach. Our first Abc cycle with a fresh embryo transfer failed but with our first frozen transfer we saw our first ever positive pregnancy test result, from which we have a miracle baby boy. From the first point of contact through the treatments, in between, after and even now we’ve had an incredibly positive experience of all staff at the Bristol clinic. Friendly, approachable, they knew us by name, made us feel welcome, laughed or commiserated with us when we needed it. Communication was always easy which is so important too. We hope to return at some point to try for a sibling and would highly recommend to anyone.

ABC Bristol was truly a story of two halves…
The initial care was lovely, our consultant was wonderful and all monitoring scans went as planned and we responded well.
But once we had paid and had egg collection the other half of the story turns into severe disappointment and a seemingly “disinterested” attitude.

We were left appalled and disappointed when, after our failed transfer of an extremely poorly graded day 5 embryo the embryology team were incredibly unhelpful, defensive, and almost rude to a point about what we could try to do differently next time.

Im not naive and know that it can fail at any time, for any reason, however when asking what we could try to improve next time (which to me is a fair enough question before we pay them another £5000 for round 2) they were unhelpful and almost rude and I was told “just repeat the same and hope for something different”!?

Yes, certainly made me want to spend more money with them…

We left and found a more caring clinic!

A year later, after moving clinics and receiving care from the new clinics embryology team which has been absolutely amazing, I’ve decided to leave a review to say I was severely disappointed in ABC, specifically their embryology department really. I think you get what you pay for and ABC is cheap.

It was our first experience going for IVF and all of the team at the clinic were brilliant! They were so supportive and informative, I felt completely at ease throughout the whole process. I cannot recommend ABC enough, I will be using them again for sure.

Brilliant. I was a patient of the Bristol clinic and I found the experience fantastic. The team were so caring and understanding and really put my mind at ease as it’s a very daunting thing to go though. They explained everything really clearly so I knew what was happening and what expect. The staff went above and beyond as one of the staff swapped her day off just to be with me for the egg retrieval as I was nervous. Once I got a positive pregnancy test two of the staff asked me if it was okay for them to carry out the ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy test as they had been with me for the whole journey and as this was my second try with them they were excited for me.

Hugely disappointed and let down by ABC, they have no care for their patients well being and seem to enjoy adding as much stress as possible. ABC seem to be all about money, they push your body to the point you end up on the borderline off ohss and need a frozen transfer and then if you refuse the frozen transfer miraculously most of your eggs seem to die. Funnily enough though, those that do have a frozen end up with better quality eggs at day 5.
I'm in communication with 5 people who are all at the same point and it seems to be a reoccurring theme.
There are hidden costs, as you need extra tests and stuff.
The communication is shocking, they can't answer any of your questions, they change their minds multiple times on what to do and nearly 90% of the time they push you into the option which means spending more money.
We were hoping to egg share and had to make stressful decisions to actually stop because I was put in a position of you continue to egg share, your blood levels will go to high, you will more than likely develop ohss and will need to freeze, so had to let someone else down in order to protect my own body, but even then I was told I needed to keep stimming even though I was on the threshold anyway. They really didn't care about my body, physically or mentally.
The only thing i would say, was my patient co ordinator was a lovely woman. My journey with them was absolute hell and I would advise anyone against using them.

Friendly, kind and caring staff, I couldn’t have hoped for better starting this exciting but quite daunting experience.

Switching clinics to Abc IVF is the best decision that we have made.
Since our first appointment we have felt so comfortable and relaxed and all the staff have made this difficult journey so much easier.
The staff have been extremely helpful and have answered emails and calls with an extremely quick response.
We have never felt more listened to and more reassured at a fertility clinic.
We would recommend abc IVF to anyone thinking of starting their IVF journey.

We decided to use abc as it was affordable and we had heard good reviews.
On arrival to abc we were welcomed by a friendly receptionist that went above and beyond to answer all of our questions.
We then went to see Gill she was amazing from start to finish and helped us with all the questions we had.
We had our first round of icsi where we had 2 embroyos make it to day 3, we had a fresh transfer and the other embroyo was frozen.
Sadly our fresh transfer ended in misscarriage, but we held onto all hope that our frozen egg would work, when this then didn't implant we were devastated.
We talked to Gill and decided to would have one last round on ivf and then we would call it a day. We were due to start our next round of ivf the day we went into lockdown 1. We were gutted that we had to put everything on hold, but we used this time to get fitter and eat healthier ready for our next round.
In June we did our 2nd round of ivf, we had 14 embroyos collected and on day 5 we went for our transfer, we were told we had 1 egg left out of our 14 and sadly none to freeze. I was very upset as I was sure that it wouldn't work.
I took 2 weeks off work to relax and stay chilled this time. My auntie sadly passed away in lockdown and we were due to test on the day of her funeral. When we took the test we couldn't believe we were pregnant. A wish from above and a present we couldn't believe was happening.
We were very worried something was going to go wrong but we made it to 31+1 day pregnant and our beautiful little girl was born in March this year. She is so perfect and we cant thank abc enough for all there help. Never give up hope is how we have always looked at our whole journey.
We got our dream and our beautiful little girl has 3 amazing step brothers who are besotted with her.

I can not thank all the staff from abc ivf Bristol for what they have done for me and my husband Iam currently 6 weeks pregnant and got a scan on Wednesday my first round of ivf failed in December and this was our second round and it worked

We were very lucky to have a cycle of ICSI at the ABC IVF Bristol clinic in January 2020 before covid affected any fertility treatment the couple of months ahead. From the consultation through to the embryo transfer, the patient care was amazing. Every member of the team at the clinic was so supportive and friendly. Our consultant nurse was Gillian and she made me feel at ease at every appointment. Thanks to ABC IVF, we had our little boy in October last year. We have 2 frozen embryos and we would like to use ABC again in the future to try a FET cycle.
