Ordered a 45€ book. They sent me the DHL tracking code but IT DOESN’T EXIST!!!! Don’t bother trying to contact their customer service, they don’t reply. I tried contacting them to fix the tracking code issue, and then when i got no reply, I asked for a refund MULTIPLE TIMES!!!! I never received my book or my money back.

They have the worst customer service - it's actually non-existent! I purchased books from them. I did not receive a confirmation or a receipt. I emailed customer service twice requesting both of these - CRICKETS. Still no books, no receipt, no email, and it has been over a month. Use Thriftbooks! This one time they did not have what I needed so I used Abebooks. NEVER AGAIN.

After payment, the seller canceled the order and responded rudely.

"vemos no te molestas en leer nuestro mensaje informativo sobre el costo envio ni en usar el traductor de google, cosa que si hacemos en cambio nosotros, en consecuencia anulamos el pedido ya que no nos apetece perder el tiempo de forma innecesaria"

Maybe they should take a course in education and English.
Really unpleasant experience

I'm still waiting for a book I was debited $75.91 for on August 12 that was supposed to arrive in 10 to 20 business days.
Started trying to contact them about a week after that delay passed. But apparently, there's no such thing as Customer Service there.
Meanwhile, they've started offering "Rewards" via my bank for more purchases? Dream on!
I just want the one I've already purchased - or a refund, obviously!!

I ordered a book December 27 and it was ment to arrive on jan 17, but I just received an alert that said that my order delivery was failed, due to an incomplete or wrong address.
I checked the invoice and my address was correct, so...never received my book.
I wrote to the customer care and they did not communicate, just copy-paste me the screenshot of the shipment status, the same I could check myself.

Very disappointing experience, I'll definitely won't buy here anymore.

Perfect copy, received in only 4 working days from German book dealer.

28/12/2024 - After 2 weeks from the order the books are still marked as "They will be shipped" (I am located in Italy) but at the same time I received a confirmation e-mail for the shipment of the two orders, so you can not ask for a refund before the 28 working days of expected delivery time!

03/01/2025 - I finally received the first of the two books. Cheapest standard international mail was used, that is why no tracking info and slow delivery time (11 working days excluding Saturdays)

04/01/2025 - Also second book arrived (pay attention to editions, I purchased the wrong one)

I have ordered many books with this company over the last few years and I always received them properly packed and in a good shape, very competitive prices as well and quick delivery, will probably keep on doing business with this company

In general I have great experience with AbeBooks. I purchase from sellers that proved to be good, the quality in most cases is as described. When I need a book from UK, I go to AbeBooks as well.
When shipped from UK I expect longer wait (1 month is kinda expected). Otherwise, quick enough. Still better than purchase from Amazon (do I need to explain why?).

They are an awful book seller. I made an order over a week ago it was marked as shipped and the order was completely confirmed. It took a week for them to finally just cancel it and refund my money zero communication and I doubt they ever had the book.

A collection of charlatans, my book didn't arrive, obviously the cheapskates didn't give me a tracking number and then I was told that a refund is being processed and will be paid into my account when I return the book!!! How can I return something I never received?

Ordered 2 books late November as Christmas presents for Grandkids. Confirmation of one order came about a week later, with delivery estimate of 21st to 23rd December, second confirmation arrived some days later giving estimated delivery Boxing Day. Unable to cancel the orders, despite clearly not despatched.
Tardy service, we will most certainly never use them again.

Use them a lot last year, really good experiences. Everything I have ordered has turned up and some good bargains.

Excellent site and with a huge catalog of new and used books at fantastic prices! I had a great experience, and although the post office had lost two of the books ordered, when I contacted customer service they promptly sent me back two more books to replace them (in less than 2 days from England to Italy). So I am enormously satisfied and will order from them again.

Bookseller issued a refund, but ABEBooks Italy after one week from issue has still not found the time to credit the refund to my account. This delay is unacceptable. Customer Service was polite but non functioning. I will never buy another thing from the Italian ABEbooks site if I can possibly help it. I will buy everything from the UK site where everyting runs smoothly

Bought a book via AbeBooks website. Waited for the reply for more than a week. Then, when asked to AbeBooks, they siad that the book store: L Books (Montrouge, France), cancelled the order:
-without advising me
-leaving me for a week to wait for nothing
-And most of all they wrote on the reason of the remboursment that I renounce to the order , which is false and I can prove it.
