I love this and feel that it is a very convincing ‘electric wood-burner’. It is vastly superior to anything you will find in your local DIY store. The flue adds to the authenticity. The only thing I wish I hadn’t bothered with was the box of real wood for £75. All I can say is that it is a very good job that I can see the funny side of my own foolishness!!!! A bag of kindling for £4.50 would have done instead.
It’s a beautiful fire - gives out good heat or you can use for a lovely glow.
Generally very pleased with the fire, visually it looks good with modern clean lines. Solidly built, it looks and feels robust. Controls on the fire are unobtrusive and easily accessed , if you ever need to use them, remote control is neat and easily implemented. A comprehensive range of firebed components, crystals, ash and logs look very realistic and are all you will need. I also purchased the woodland logs, a bit of a waste, they do nothing for the fire, just looked like a few pieces of kindling that have been scorched slightly by a blowtorch, certainly don't look as realistic as the supplied logs. Just few words about the small flue, it has no magnets but in so it is quite unstable, I attached magnets around the rim, this has improved the stability.
