Popped in past today as I had business in Ellon, we have previously had the steak round & it was great, but today I bought one for our tea & it was awful, meat was chewy, gravy like water & pastry on bottom undercooked (VERY!)

Appalling - this company sent me a commercially frozen Xmas Goose - it wasnt even from the UK. I pre-ordered a goose off their website in November, paying £90 in advance. If i had wanted a frozen goose for Xmas Day I'd have got one from Lidl for £29!
No mention was made in the adverts description that the goose would be frozen and foreign - indeed it stated "Responsibly sourced, prepared at our butchery in Aberdeenshire".
They have apparently sold 70 of these geese and i therefore await more 1star reviews like this one from other seemingly hoodwinked customers.
The quality of the meat is exceptional. Great seasonal veg too.
Lots and lots of lovely cheeses, olives, salsas, nice wines and awesome hot food!
Order cancelled and refunded, with no explanation, two days before my friend’s birthday. No idea why. Won’t use this company again for this reason. Gifts look good on the website, shame the order wasn’t fulfilled.
Great quality food, much locally sourced, and a wonderful selection of more 'unusual' burgers that add a twist on the conventional.
They're a major supplier to a lot of restaurants and high end hotels and deliver direct to your door using their own refrigerated vehicles so far better than most 'order by courier' butcher suppliers imho.
