DO NOT USE

We paid over £1000 for work which was not completed properly and we have not had our issue rectified. We were lied to by the company and have not been issued any refunds.

SCAM

Paid for a drain survey due to pests problems. Came the day after they promised they’ve be there. They completed the job in 1 hour, this cost £125. Accounts rung within 10 minutes of the man leaving requesting I pay £125 before they send the results.
May I add I asked for video footage for the pest control company NOT to quote me for drain work needed!
Survey not received, 1 week later I chased, no response, then chased 4 weeks with no response. I then called up chasing the survey for them to be so rude and putting the blame on me for chasing up the man I booked it in with initially for the survey who wasn’t passing on my enquiry to the office!
After chasing I was sent a poxy IMAGE of part of the drain that needed a repair NOT the video footage I initially requested and paid for!!! They then went on to quote me £1300 for drain works. I didn’t want a drain quote, I wanted video evidence of the drains so my pest man can get to the bottom of the problem. I have since chased up twice for the footage and no response. Absolutely disgusting company and I will not be using again. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Absolute Rip Off

I had an appalling experience with Absolute Drainage. They charged £1,300 for work that took no more than two hours with 2 workmen. When I called them back, they wanted another £200 to clear a blockage that should have been spotted at the first visit. After I mentioned another plumber could do it for £60, they initially drove off, then returned and agreed to the lower price—but still failed to resolve the issue. They then tried to charge an additional £650, which I refused. My regular plumber fixed the problem properly for £60 by simply using a plunger and confirmed I had been completely ripped off.
On top of the excessive charges, they repeatedly failed to turn up on time, never provided a full itemised bill, and did not supply the CCTV drainage survey I requested. I felt bullied into paying and was left extremely stressed and out of pocket. When I complained, I was promised a call back from someone senior, which never happened. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with—unprofessional, unreliable, and grossly overpriced. Avoid at all costs.

Fantastic service

Fantastic service. Marcus, the plumbing engineer, attended my property for a water leak. He was polite, respectful, professional and competent. From going out of his way to organise same day attendance, he resolved the issue seemlessly. A fine young man whom was an honour to have in my home.

Don’t trust a company who doesn’t let you freely review

Despite me saying my availability they had people turn up at random times when we weren’t in. At one point they came at 8:30pm at night….we also have a baby. Ignored emails, ignored requests. The guys they sent to fix the pipe didn’t lay the ground properly which was obvious even to us - they didn’t use any form of compressor and just stomped the ground. Unsurprisingly when our cars drove over our drive they then sunk….
They promise to come back within one year if the issue isn’t rectified, it took us multiple calls, emails etc to eventually get them to come. They still haven’t fixed it and now ignoring us. Don’t trust a company that doesn’t have Google reviews or Facebook reviews!! The only way you can leave a review via reviews.io is if they specifically invite you too…

Do not use this company at any cost. Total cowboys.

If I could give below 0 for this company I would. Had them attend my property a year ago as I had blocked drains. Told me they would attend straight away & gave a reasonable quote. This was the first of many lies. Repeatedly kept delaying the arrival time until they eventually arrived late on a Friday evening. Told me it wasn't just a case of a blocked drain (although they charged me for that). Said that it was a much bigger job that needed rectifying a.s.a.p. As a female on my own they took advantage of my lack of knowledge about drains & they exploited me to the tune of over £2000. I like to pride myself on the fact that I normally shop around, get quotes, look at reviews & value recommendations. God how I wish I had done that with this company but on a Friday evening in the winter with raw sewage, & toilet paper overflowing I felt compelled to trust that they were telling me the truth & would do a good job. They "made good" on the Friday night but kept on delaying to complete the actual "main job" this was despite me having to pay up front. Fast forward today, same problem seemed to have started (I was assuming it was a blocked drain) but thought surely it can't be after they assured me that I wouldn't get anymore problems after their last visit. This time I tried to think more rationally rather than panic. Rang my insurance company who asked if it was a "hard or soft blockage". I had no idea. They said to contact the drainage company to initially find out. Reluctantly called Absolute Drainage & was told by the call operator that I should still be covered & it was un-likely that I would have to pay anything. I actually thought things might go well, especially as the operative arrived within a couple of hours. Wrong! He had barely been here 10 mins when he said that it was a totally new job & nothing to do with the previous repair. He told me that he could give a price today.........what after 10 mins? I explained that I had paid over £2000 to their company the previous year. He told me that it would be much more & that I would need my drive digging up this time. I told him that I would need to investigate the matter further & have more quotes. He tried telling me that his company could try to "word" the paperwork to give to my insurance company. I still refused. He then told me that he thought that I would still have to pay for clearing the drain. At that point I was unaware that he had actually done that, seeing that he had been at my property less than 10 mins & I could still see toilet paper/debris all around the drain that he had not even bothered to clear away. He then used one of their tactics by getting someone from their company on the phone to tell me that I would have to pay as I was not covered but as a "loyal customer" I would have to pay £150. I said that I wanted a proper invoice stating what had actually been done. He said the guy on site could write me one!!! And, that payment had to be received by card on completion of the job. They don't do bank transfers?? I insisted I wanted a copy of the invoice e-mailed to me before I paid anything & also informed him that I had to leave my property to go to work.......at that point the guy on site returned to his van. I told him that I had to leave shortly & that he was part blocking my driveway. He then proceeded to keep telling me that it was "payment on completion of the job". I pointed out that he had not completed the job as he had not even cleared away the debris. He told me that he didn't have time to clear it away & it was only a little bit. If it was only a little bit then why were they recommending I needed major repairs?? I then heard the guy at the call centre tell the operative that was parked outside my house to block my drive-way. I told him that what he was doing was illegal & he could not obstruct my drive to prevent me from leaving my own property. Again I had to say that I would not pay anything until he cleaned up what he should have done in the first place. He reluctantly did this whilst spraying me with water as I tried to take pictures of the state that he had left my drains in. I had no choice but to pay as I needed to leave to get to work. Disgusting behaviour & intimidation from start to finish. Please, please stay away from this company at all costs. If you see a good review about them on other sites they can only be fake.

Rip off drainage engineer

Carl came to my house to fix a blocked drain. Stuck a hose pipe down the drain which naturally overflowed then told me i had a collapsed drain which, for a special deal he would fix for £1000 plus vat on top of the £165 plus vat he charged to stick a hose down the drain. No man hole covers removed no inspections. I paid he left. I then contacted a real drainage expert who attended with a colleague. Hose down drain first man hole covers up in my property and next door. Lots of investigations. One man hole full of water to brim which was pumped out. Finally identified blockage coming from next door large rock and lots of blue rags blocking gulley. Removed, covers replaced and bingo sorted. 2 hours plus 2 people £260 bargain. I have written to absolute drainage twice with same story as above requesting my money back or a good proportion of it and no replies. No reply at all so this honest review and clear message don't touch absolute plumbing with a barge pole complete rip off and just looking to make money out of other people's worries. Clearly these are my views but the fact it was fixed for £260 is evidence enough i was being ripped off. No doubt if i had booked the £1000 repair they would have done what the others did and still charged me. Be warned£1000.

Not worth the stress

Gave a time but didn’t arrive. I had to call them and they gave another time but didn’t arrive, I had to call them again and was assured would be coming. After waiting a full day they finally called me at 19:28 to say not coming and ask if I wanted re booking for tomorrow. Cancelled job with them and called a well known company stating with a D who were out and had fixed my issue before 9 the next morning. Just not good enough and if your stressed like I was I would advise keeping away from this company. As a customer service manager myself I will be using this experience in future training of how not to treat a customer.

Absolute nightmare to deal

We had our manhole blocked as some pipes had a height difference, so the said they would do a inspection, they done that, but there wasn't a certainty.
Day one they said 2 metre, the next day said 3 metre, they had basically kept on adding more numbers on.
Furthermore, they don't turn up when they say they will. While the original plan was that they will do this in a day and it has been going on for three weeks.

BEWARE

BEWARE. Waited three days for Absolute Drainage not to arrive, despite them promising I would be their first call every day. This meant the blockage in the back yard began to flood the cellar. In the end Severn Trent sorted it at a much cheaper price than Absolute DrainGed quoted.

Absolutely,they are day robbing…

Absolutely, they are day robbing customers. When I had trouble with my drainage, I contacted them and agreed with clearing and cleaning the premises. They came and inspected drainage used the plunger twice and said they can't do it and charged £165 for it. And promised that this amount will be reimbursed by the water supplier when I contacted the water supplier, it was other way around. So please be carefull with private contractors always go with your water supplier first.
