Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 80 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People frequently mentioned that recent software updates introduced an intrusive advertising system, tiny unreadable fonts, and confusing layouts that made standard mobile navigation extremely difficult. Consumers also complained that excessive advertisements frequently block essential weather information, disrupt daily usage, and drastically slow down overall application performance. Some reviewers were happy with past versions, noting that earlier editions were exceptionally user-friendly and provided reliable meteorological details. However, many customers expressed deep frustration over sudden subscription pushes, unexpected billing issues, and intrusive mandatory video ads appearing unexpectedly before checking daily forecasts.

AccuWeather now ridiculously inaccurate

5 years ago we traveled to different states and the accuweather was our savior angel. If they said it would start (or stop raining) in 15 minutes - it happened. But now they are ridiculously inaccurate!

Horrible forecasting

Horrible forecasting. I live in Western NC and their weather is wrong every day. Yesterday they showed 90% probability of rain with heavy downpours and local flooding. Got NOTHING same goes for weather channel. They’re just as bad.

Black out

I have the app on my roku t.v. and after about 20 minutes the screen goes black. I back out, go back to it and its there. It IS NOT MY T.V. Everything else works. This is annoying!

Used to be pretty good in Australia

Used to be pretty good in Australia - until it stopped being able to predict storms. Now we're in winter, the temperatures are WAY off - so off in fact, as to be laughable! Avoid at all costs - have removed my Bookmark.

Accu weather has now gone woke

Accu weather has now gone to the liberal woke side. Now in the forecast instead of hazy sunshine from Canadian fires it now state hazy sunshine from DISTANT fires. Come on,you can't get the day to day weather right so now you've gone woke.

Watching weather in motion

Watching weather in motion, it was obvious that a storm was coming within an hour. I asked Alexa if it was going to rain, it replied "no rain is expected tonight". 45 minutes later: Thunder, lightning and heavy rains were here. We received a total of .98" in an hour and a half! An 8 year old watching 'weather in motion, could see a storm coming!

I LOVE ACCUWEATHER🧡🙌☀️✨

I LOVE ACCUWEATHER!🧡🙌☀️ And I have a ton of reasons why, that I could write a whole essay about it. I'm only a teenager, but when I was a child, I was so scared of severe weather (especially thunderstorms and tornadoes) to the point where I would cry and cling hard to my grandfather's legs. Since the house I lived in was only a 1 story big house, I was scared that lightning would go RIGHT through the ceiling and strike either me or my family members. However, when I was 10, I was tired of being scared of the weather, so I became curious. I found a company called "AccuWeather" and that's where I learned more about meteorology. I then knew I wanted to be a meteorologist in the future, so I became VERY interested to the point where I can't just casually move on to something else. When I became about 11 years old, I found out that I also loved the AccuWeather founder very much. There was a quote that he said on a TED talk that changed me. It goes like "Don't give up. Whether you're 3, 33 or 73, follow that dream and don't give up". Basically his story inspired me a LOT. People around me started to know about my AccuWeather obsession after this one time in school. One time, we were having Scientific Research class. Our teacher asked us to explain what "perseverance" is. I had an answer in my head. So I raised my hand and I had to answer, and my answer explained the definition, and since I knew that wasn't enough, I gave an example, which was about the AccuWeather founder calling 25,000 people just to get 100 clients and not even giving up or feeling the sense to do so one bit. I even used his TED talk quote at the end of the answer. And surprisingly, the answer SHOCKED everyone in the room especially my teacher, so I got a BIG round of applause and my classmates started to know. Speaking of the founder, I LOVED how accurate it actually was. I don't even get why other people complain about AccuWeather and rate it 1 out of 5 star/s. Either there's something wrong with their app, but that's not the point. I learned a LOT from AccuWeather, especially about how weather shaped everything, including history. I realized this once I got myself the book that the AccuWeather founder published last January 2024, and OH MY GOD I actually started to love history because of this. AccuWeather is basically a dream for anyone who LOVES science so much. Some people might judge me for being an AccuKid (a young person who loves AccuWeather) but that's okay, because as the founder said "don't quit, don't quit, don't quit", I'm gonna continue being one, and we only have 1 life only, so enjoy it instead of waste it because of people's opinions. And in the context about "saving 10s of thousands of lives", it's true. My life got saved in a Category 5 SUPER typhoon because of it. And luckily, my house was readily secured for the storm, so it suffered less damage and NO indoor flooding. Even though I cried out of fear while just hearing the roaring sounds of the typhoon's winds, at least AccuWeather saved me. Because AccuWeather's "goated", (which is a slang term for best)...

Thank you very much!

What a joke

Im pretty sure ya'll need to change your name to in-accurate weather. I mean seriously? Then you want people to pay for it? This is a terrible app. Can't find one that is accurate....guess I'll just go outside and decipher the weather for myself. Un-installed.

Ignorantly Changing Gulf of Mexico

I AM DELETING MY ACCUWEATHER APP SINCE THEY HAVE DECIDED TO BOW TO AN EGOTISTICAL MANIAC BY CHANGING THE NAME OF THE GULF OF MEXICO TO THE GULF OF AMERICA. This proves to me they can’t be trusted.

Inaccurate but used by Echo devices -Alexa

I have Echo devices, but it is time to find something better. I suspect AccuWeather is owned by Amazon, which explains its shortcomings.
Accumen is only right when it is good weather, so it often fails. Just the morning cloudy weather forecast. Look outside, it is raining, what a pathetic app

STOP TAKING THE PISS ACCUWEATHER!!.

Do not plan outings based on ACCUWEATHER DATA. Accuweather couldn't be a worse, more inaccurate waste if space piece if crap weather app if they tried, so their claim to be the most widely used global weather source is an empty, hollow and transparent lie because nobody, and I do mean nobody, can trust it's weather data. Clearly Accuweather gets away with such a claim because ACCUWEATHER IS A FACTORY INSTALLED PRESET ON BILLIONS OF ANDROID DEVICES, and we users have no control or choice over that, do we? The reality is that ACCUWEATHER IS RELIABLY & CONSISTENTLY INACCURATE, MISLEADING AND DOWNRIGHT IRRESPONSIBLE IN IT'S FORECASTING, ESPECIALLY SO IN REGIONAL AREAS. Either the algorithms were created by imcompotents/monkeys or we're all being lied to on a daily basis and it's all being made up. I have read many very damming testimonies about Accuweather's toxic workplace culture which I'm inclined to believe as the company couldn't have produced worse, less accurate software if they tried. ACCUWEATHER can be disabled/uninstalled from Android phones & devices but we're stuck with this lousy app on smartwatches & many other devices that I'm not aware of. I detest this app on my Fitbit, and loathe the fact that I can't replace it with my local BOM app.

I want to see the demise of Accuweather as they have been getting away with this BS for way too long, and will do and say whatever is necessary to spread the bad news about this terrible app. ACCUWEATHER has been cruising along arrogantly for over a decade on their lucrative tech contracts assuming people don't notice or become extremely pissed off with such incompotent and inaccurate forecasts, and there's way too much if that privileged and dictatorial crap going on in Western countries these days so people now more than ever need to speak out and not be so passive or we'll soon find ourselves living under oppressive regimes the way it's going!! We're all being censored & shut down on social media apps for not falling in line with opinion influencers. You better believe this on the rise and if it hasn't happened to you yet then you'll find out very soon. This is happening en-masse right now to people all over the so-called "free world" with even the most harmless and non-inflamatory comments on social media platforms. Research it yourself if you need confirmation. So, if it looks & smells like communism (which it so obviously is) how much worse will it be in another 2-5-10 years time?...

Wrecked my motorcycle because of inaccurate information...

Got caught in a blizzard today on the way home and not once did they show anything about snow. 47% to 60% chance of rain. The radar didn't even show anything. I watched it all day. Ever since I started using accuweather they have been wrong and/or so inaccurate it is ridiculous. Do not advise using them at all.
